I was banned a while ago because of my son who was 6 at the time. I think they need to consider that parents play with their kids.
The banning within halo can be very harsh
My ban, because I ban that? : c

Good afternoon.
You were banned from Halo: Reach for modding your four Four Letter/Number Service Tag to something other than Letters or Numbers and/or Modding your Four Letter/Number Service tag beyond four digits. The | for your service tag is a clear indicator for that. The automated banhammer must’ve picked up on the change when you tryed to join matchmaking online and justifably responded by issuing you a permanent ban from Halo: Reach.
Modding is also against the Xbox LIVE Terms of Service and Code of Conduct you agreed to upon signing up for your Xbox LIVE Account. Hate to say it, but it looks like your earned your ban. From the Code of Conduct page:
Hope this helps and have a nice day now.

Hello,
I was banned awhile back like the beginning of this year. Basically I logged in and tried to play custom games and it said the description of the map was inappropriate even tho it wasn’t it was freaking uncaged. Anyway I soon realized I was banned from fileshare and everything else in the game wouldn’t load like it wouldn’t allow me. Im just wondering how much longer this is gonna be. I prob got banned for a modded game type I had but I just wanna know the time length of it or if its permanent and if this will carry over to other halo games.

Good afternoon.
Unfortunately your ban cannot be uplifted from Halo: Reach, as it is a permaban for playing a modded gametype. The file you used was probably modified in a way that it would trigger the banhammer upon using. Your ban will not carry over to other Halo games however. Just a tip of advice, if a gametype isn’t an official 343 gametype or Bungie gametype, do not play it for the sake of safety. You are very fortunate that you didn’t recieve an Xbox LIVE ban for using the modded file as it is against Code of Conduct to use modded content.
From the Code of Conduct:
Don’t cheat or tamper. For example, don’t:
that happened to me one time

So I got credit banned for playing too much and I understood why. But I got unbanned and I played three games of Griffball and a game of swat and was rebanned. I don’t understand

Good morning.
You wouldn’t have had to be spawncamp killing the other team in Grifball, have you? For what loaded, I see strong evidence of that. You do know boosting your K/D through that violates LIVE Code of Conduct in multiple ways due to that? For starters, you’re exploiting the map design to use it for something that it isn’t intended to be used as. Secondly, in exploiting the map design, you’re boosting, which is cheating, not statpadding. Third, you were degrading the LIVE gameplay experience and quality for the other team by griefing them in such a fashion.
In the majority of your recent grifball games, I’m seeing you have 60+ Kills to 1 death. I would say it’s safe to say the opposing team in each game as such filed a report through Xbox LIVE’s complaint system and reported you for cheating, so there is a chance that your ban was a rare manual ban and not an automated one, as I see nothing else wrong.I see one of those grifball games ended prematurely, so I am assuming the game lagged everybody out on that one instance, but that should not have counted towards a ban by itself.
You have however quit/ lagged out of/were booted from games after those games you mentioned, so that might count towards a future ban in Reach from the Automated Banhammer. Simply put, play the game the way it was meant to be played, and you shouldn’t have to worry about anymore bans.
Hope this helps and have a nice day now.
halo reach needs to be backwards already
I have a question about the possibility of being banned. Halo Reach became backwards compatible today and back when I played Reach I had a different profile (ended up having to pick between my xbox live microsoft account and my everything else microsoft account). Seeing how old Reach is (and how grindy the armor system is) I was wanting to just import a save over that had all the armor unlocked for solo play. I don’t see myself playing multiplayer on Reach and this is primarily for Firefight and Campaign. Will my account be banned for this? Will it just be for Halo Reach multiplayer? Will it affect my Xbox One account’s matchmaking for things like Halo 5?

Good evening.
Anything that involves any sort of modded content, including having and/or using it can get you banned for violating LIVE Code of Conduct. I would strongly suggest you not do it and if anything get rid of it to prevent being permabanned from LIVE altogether.
Hope this helps and have a nice day now.

Thanks, I didn’t do anything yet because I wanted to make sure.
I got ban from multiplayer Matchmaking for one week. I don’t know what I did at all I’m a competitive player all I do is play doubles and MLG. I was playing a game of doubles and then assess a boarding something I don’t remember and then there brought me to a lobby n told me I was banned… Help?
Is there any way of lifting a cr ban?
