Hey so today I was playing Halo with some friends at school and our internet isn’t stable so we lose connection a lot and then I got a ban message what do I do to reverse this?
I get temporarily banned all the time because my WiFi is crap and disconnects me every five minutes lmao

That is very very odd. How old is your router? Reason why I ask is because when I had Verizon as my ISP, when my refurbished router was on it’s last legs, it did exactly that. if your router is more than five years old, expect to need a replacement soon. I know this is a place to answer why you are getting banned, but what you have going on there sounds like a potential issue. If your router is new, do you hear occasional static sounds when using the phone? If that is the case, you may have ‘water in your lines’, in which I would recommend calling your ISP to have a technician look at the lines outside to make sure they’re ok.

Unfortunately, for the ban, you will have to wait it out. As preventative measures for the future, I have some questions. Is your (school’s) router five years old or older? Do you have Open NAT? Also what type of internet package do your school have? If your school have basic internet, they may want to upgrade to a higher speed/better package that their ISP offers, but that is upto them. If their router is five years old or older, that can be an issue and you (or should I say your school) might need a new one. If your NAT is not open (If you have Moderate or Closed), may I recommend you do a Google Search on how to open it and follow the steps it gives you(To me it’s a complicated process I can’t even explain).
My question is what are you doing playing Halo at school as that seems very out of place.

So I was playing reach online last night in a group of friends, and all of a sudden it says I have been temp. banned from earning credits, I’m guessing that it is because I scored 0 on some games, but I was never afk, I wasn’t camping, I wasn’t modding, or cheating… I just suck at Halo, and am trying to get better, my friends were helping, and I have started to get some better, but the point is, I do not see why I deserve this ban… as far as I am aware, I haven’t done anything wrong… I’m pretty sure it’s only for 24 hrs. So it isn’t a big deal… but if I continue to suck and get 0 kills in the future (hopefully not, but ya know) will it happen again and be worse? I really think it should be checked a different way. It really isn’t fair to be ‘punished’ for not being good at a game… I think sucking at it is enough of a punishment in itself… we’ll yeah… thanks!

Dude I feel your pain. You are 100% correct in why you got a ban and the only way to avoid it is to get at least one kill or assist per game. They are not going to change the ban system as it does detect real AFKers and you just have to find the best way to avoid it.
My suggestion to you is to work with a team mate and shadow them in a game. This will give you a kill or at the very least, an assist. Just shoot the same guy they are shooting and work with them. It will also reduce your deaths in a game which inturn helps your team too.

Yes unfortunately. The Banhammer was designed by Bungie and is still used by 343 today.
It seems the way they decided to detect players going Away from Controller or AFK in a game was to identify players with zero kills and assists. A few games with zero kills and assist will earn you a credit ban.
Unfortunately for the lesser skilled players there was a lot of players early on in reach who would just sit idle in firefight and matchmaking games and earn credits just for completion. So they brought in the system to detect them and award credit bans but unfortunately lesser skilled players who cant get a kill in a game suffer as a result. There are some players though who think this is fair too because they don’t understand how some one who is playing cannot get even one kill or assist and if they are that bad they deserve a ban and should play something else till they get better at the game. they are also not helping their team very much.
My internet connection with AT&T has not been working and I have seemed to have gotten banned for this reason. Seeing how I have not broken another rules. Can my ban be reversed?

No one here can reverse your ban unfortunately. Disconnecting from games is detected as a quit whether it is from a lag out, quit, betrayal or Ddos offline.
Was your ban from Halo 5. If so they are longer now ( hours to days for subsequent offences) and I suggest you have a chat to AT&T and get your internet to be more stable. As you will only get more bans if you keep lagging out from games. Halo 5 seems to be the first Halo game that is very sensitive to packet loss and too much packet loss and the game will disconnect you.
If your ban is from Reach then you just get put on a quit probation and each quit is a 10 mins ban from Matchmaking for both you and the console. The quit probation lasts 48 hours from your last quit game so if you keep quitting the 48 probation keeps resetting.
