Got banned in H3 forever for no reason. And if there is a reason I will never know thanks to a general message that is no help as well as no way to play unless I wanted to start over and create a new account and buy a new console considering MCC is about to come out. If I am banned on 360 H3 will I be banned on the MCC H3? I understand there is no way to change a ban i just want to know if ill be able to play the new version.
what are the ban times for halo reach now??? can u be banned for more than a couple of days since it is now 2014 and it came out in 2010.
I also do not need my ban resolved I just would really like to know how long it will be, this was one of my favorite entries in the series and it’s on the verge of being shelved for good. Considering the ridiculous overpriced items and how much credits it takes to rank up I used the grifball exploit a few times, crucify me. I don’t have time to average a thousand credits a game for 450 games so I can rank up. I also didn’t know this was an issue until I received the console and account ban. I just want to know how long it will last because it is basically useless to me now and is looking to be shelved permanently.
Also, one more thing I would like to add: I find it funny that whichever company that now controls the ban will ban people like us who don’t have time to waste on 450 games at a time so we use a little credit exploit from time to time but they will let the real scum who finds ways to get out of the map to spawn kill and boost their k/d by being untouchable walk around unscathed. It’s not fair, let someone camp outside of your flawed map and it okay but God forbid someone exploits credits so they can actually level up in your game and they are the devil, it’s not fair. If the ban system isn’t going to be used correctly and fairly then it needs to be removed entirely, considering the game is 4 years old and you have no plans on actually going back and fixing things and making them fair. You’re going to start losing community support. Rant over.
My console and my husband’s console have both been permanently banned from Reach online games. I think this is due to my son’s account being compromised. I reported the unauthorized access to the proper channels and they are going to investigate it. Can you please remove the ban on both our consoles? Selynia, No one here can lift your console ban. A console ban is usually place on you by Microsoft and permanent bans are usually only handed out for very serious offences like modifying your Xbox content or Using exploits to manipulate the network to gain an advatnage over others in the game.
While i am not accusing your son of anything you may want to have a chat with him and ask him exactly what he has been doing while online. What do you exactly mean by his account was “compromised”. Does he bridge the connection to the xbox via a PC. Does he have a JTAG. Do you see him putting USB sticks in the xbox all the time to copy something from the PC. Is he running and Editing programs on his PC. Have any opf his friends come over and maybe put modified content on the Xbox. Any of these could be sings he is doing things that would breach the T&Cs of XBL and result in a ban.
Unfortunately i would recommend for you and your husband to go and by a new Consoles because if his account has been banned and it has played on both your consoles your consoles will be banned and any new account you use on those consoles will be banned too. When you buy your new consoles dont let your sons compromised account sign into eihter of them.
Hello I just got banned from earning credits for 2 weeks. I was doing my custom challenges for sword base to earn credits quickly I thought you could not get banned for doing so. Also I don’t recall ever getting a warning I thought you get one the first time you get in trouble about credits. Today and yesterday were the only days i have ever hit max daily credits.
I was just banned today from earning credits in Halo: Reach for two weeks. This is the first time I’ve ever been credit banned and I got no warning or nothing about it. I’m wondering if it had anything to do with using Waypoint’s custom challenges. I’ve been making custom challenges for some extra credits for several weeks now and nothing has ever happened like this before. Is there a problem with using custom challenges? I’ve heard from other forum posts that this cannot ban you. I would just like to know if I should steer clear of using custom challenges in the future when my ban is lifted. Thanks.
I posted yesterday about discovering that I was credit banned for the first time. It banned me for two weeks for no apparent reason. All I’ve been doing was maxing the credit limit to 200K using ONI custom challenges virtually everyday for over a month and nothing like this happened before. Also, I showed this method to my girlfriend at her house on her console just a few days ago. She earned her custom challenge credits only TWICE and then she received notice that she was banned for two weeks. Is this some kind of joke that we’d get banned for doing something that is clearly NOT cheating? Is there a problem with using the legit system called “Custom Challenges”? If anyone has any answers or suggestions for us it would be much appreciated. Thanks.
It is probably because they found it suspicious that you kept on reaching the daily credit cap. I would make sure you go for about 100k instead of 200k, therefore you will probably not get banned. This is the only reason I can think of because Bungie (and I think 343 as well) said that oni sword base is a legitimate way to rank up.

Will I get banned for making a map which uses unicode in the name to produce a symbol such as an smg, spartan laser, or the Bungie logo, on Halo: Reach custom games?
For Example: Naming the map “¦ Assassination Tower” to produce “(Bungie logo) Assassination tower”
This does not modify the game code, it uses the game engine to put charcters into text, the ¦ symbol represents the bungie logo, so it can be placed into text. I do need my computer to do this.

I got banned tonight. Is it because my wife kept missing games with her account on or is it because I got a set of opponents who all left but 1 afk guy? Also how long am I banned? Is it pointless for me to try to get the weekly? It won’t say how long and obviously it doesn’t say why. I’m just guessing why due to the whole “console temp banned” thing.
Been almost a whole day with no notification of length.
Boosted AFK guests for days, got temp account and console credit banned for two days LOL. Nice security :P. Maybe if the XP requirements and caps werent so ridiculously low people wouldnt need to boost , hmm?
I’m not sure if this is the right place to post something like this but anyways.
Every time I get on Halo: Reach, I receive the “You have left too many games recently…” message. Even though I never quit or leave any matches last time I played. Just last night, I get on, receive message once again and dismiss it, play a few matches of Team Snipers and Team Slayer just fine. Last match of Team Slayer gave me a massive lag, there were 3 other players who were in my team had that yellow bar connection. Every time I’m about to take out a certain player on other team, screen goes black and 10 seconds later game goes back to gameplay where it seems I got killed, waiting to respawn but stayed in black screen for more than a minute. I was still able to access pause menu so, due to lag, I decided to quit the match and there I was temporarily banned. That match I quit was the first time I quit since I started replaying Reach, which was about a week ago.
Is this right or did I do something wrong?
Is there anyway I can do to stop receiving the message every time I get on?

Edit: Forgot to mention that me and my brother have separate Xbox Live accounts, and that every time he plays, he ends up either being booted out of the or quit the match, mostly being booted. He gets temporarily banned and from there stops playing. Hours later I sign in to my own account, launch Halo: Reach and receive the message. My guess is that’s the cause of receiving the message. Thoughts?
I just recently (like 2 or 3 days ago) started playing halo reach again since I got Xbox live gold again (through Bing rewards, not sure if that is relevant), and almost immediately into the first day of playing, I got the message saying I had left too many games recently, and I was banned from earning credits temporarily. My friend also started playing again at the same time (we are on the same console), and we have gotten both account specific bans and console bans. I’ve only left a single game since I started playing again as far as I can remember, so I’m not really sure what’s going on. Could this be leftover punishment from when I use to play 2 years ago or something? I don’t recall leaving many games back then either, but who knows. If these bans really are temporary then I will just wait them out, but it seems like maybe there is some kind of confusion, and if that is the case I’d rather not just have some kind of credit permaban. Whatever the case may be, I would appreciate any feedback as it is rather frustrating to start playing an old favorite again only to be met with bans, and no possibility of ranking up.
Update: I just logged on to play, and now it is threatening to ban me from even playing if I leave any more games. I haven’t left any since I got the last message.

Do you get booted from games often or do you lose connection to games often? If so, that could be a reason for these messages. You definitely shouldn’t be getting these messages if you only left one or two games, unless you’ve only played one or two games.

Are you waiting for the game to go to the main menu where all players in your game are listed, or are you quitting before it gets to that point?

it also says this profile has been banned permanenty from halo reach online. Is there any thing 343 can do about this
