And what if you are asked to do something i mean i do have a life from halo say ur parents ask you to do somin or i dunno need a toilet this AFKing is a load of BS!!!
> problem is with this if someone is new to halo (or not very good) or you have a guest and they have no kills that counts AFK which can count towards a ban that is really dumb im sorry
The game can tell the difference between moving and not getting kills and AFKing. The answer is simple. You AFK when you get killed in a spawn point.

If you have to do something then you won’t get annoyed from the 10 minute ban because you 'll have to do something at that time instead of playing Halo.

That’s solely on you kid. I mean, yes, stuff comes up but you’re invested in the game and in the match. If you’re going to leave it, for whatever reason, you have to pay the consequences. You’re affecting the flow of the game, the balance of the teams and so on. It may not be “your” fault but it’s still coming from “your” end.
If you’re playing so much that you have to wait to go to the bathroom during a match and can’t wait a paltry 5 minutes or so, then it’s truly your own fault.
Hello. I was banned from live due to quitting. The thing is, is the game that I supposedly quit out of, I finished. I was playing a game of doubles firefight- arcadefight on holdout. I finished the game. The host of the game left. I did not. I got the credits, 2 perfections, and several banshee kills. It then comes back saying that I quit too many games and I am not allowed to play in anymore matchmaking games. Granted, I did quit a few games of living dead yesterday, but not very many. However, I did not quit the game that supposedly got me banned. Why was I banned for quitting when I finished the game and did not quit? I thank you for your time in responding mods.
gt: RedDragonWodi.
The game in question occured 9/24/11 at 11:03:05 according to my halo waypoint stats. By my clock (est), it finished somewhere around 10 am.

sorry for the double post. I tried to edit my post and it came back with a server error. Anyways, to add info to the post, I am now able to play again, with a warning sayng that if I quit again I will again be banned. I would still like to know how I supposedly quit when the game in question was completed.
I am sure I got banned for no reason, I havn’t played Reach in months, and when I got back on my profile it says: “This account has been permantly banned from Reach Matchmaking.”
So I am like WTF, so I am posting here for an explaination…

Actually you quitted from the game. But it lets you to continue the match. If the game saws a completely black screen (no staring game or connecting/selecting new host) for about 5-7 seconds and then says “Gamertag quit” actually you have been kicked out due to your connection. But if you see a 'Waiting for players" or “Waiting for host” then it doesn’t count as quitting for you. All these apply to Campaign as well as Firefight playlists.

I saw 20 AFK games on your profile from when you last played Reach, may have contributed towards it

AFKing can’t get you permanently banned!

Constant offences after many bans will get you a permanent ban, you cant just keep getting two week bans.

I don’t see any bannable AFKing. I 've seen players with more AFK matches who had a temporary ban. And all those Campaign matches do not count because the game counts them as Custom games.
