You may have suffered a common glitch in halo 4. Sometimes, without reason, you get banned from earning exp. Happened to me on my first game of the day about 3-4 months ago.

Ask any moderator. They might direct you to some forum rules or even the person who locked it might explain. Usually the explanation is in the thread that was locked.
I didn’t get a notification or anything…
All I get is the default playlists?? What happens am I banned or is it a server issue??!

Sorry, you been perma he rap derpa bleep bloop banned… Jk. I actually have no clue what you are speaking of. No type of ban would hide playlists from you. What you see is all that is available buddy.

When I load up halo4 and go to war games, it fails to load and says “servers are unavailable right now please try again later, playlisst haven been set to default”
And there is only about 40 people online and I can search but I can’t use any load outs my sr is at 1 and I can’t play with friends…

But this also happened after I deleted the crimson map pack trial… I only recently started playing halo 4 again after months of other games and I downloaded the crimson pack when they released it for free by accident… That’s pretty much when I stopped playing. So I removed the “trial” because it would give me a notification saying “licensing blah blah” so I deleted it…now boom h4 won’t work.

This is for halo reach bans. Also, you’re probly fine. Make a post in the halo 4 forum if this problem persist for another day.
I let my little brothers play halo reach the other day when i was at work and when I got home and turned my xbox on it said I have a temoporary credit ban and I literally did nothing so how can I get unbanned

It’s possible that your brothers hit the credit limit for the day. There is a certain amount of credits that players can earn in one 24-hour period. If that’s the issue, your ban should be lifted by tomorrow.
It’s also possible that your brothers played so poorly that the banning system considered them to be not participating during the online matches they played in. If a player doesn’t participate in a game they joined, it is considered cheating because someone could leave their controller and still earn credits every time a game ends. The credit ban would prevent those people from getting credits from cheating. If this is the case, the ban could last longer than a day, possibly a week (depending on how many games they played poorly).
I would just like to say something here as a person who has been a fan of Halo from the first day I opened my original Xbox and ever since then I have played (and own) ALL of the Halo games.
I think quitting early, (something I have never intentionally done), boosting, modding, and all the other crap that is done out there RUINS the games. Also the people who do this crap should be banned… and I say GOODBYE TO ALL OF YOU!
However there is something also wrong with limiting a players development (Example the daily credit limit on Reach) this is a worthless function and should be removed IMMEDIATELY!!!
Lets hope that the people from 343 will re-institute the bans on negative activities, and remove the bans on positive activities (like just playing the game and earning points through challenges and matches)
The amount of quitting on halo 4 is gross and those people should be REMOVED from gaming PERIOD! I have stopped playing it after almost every match half of my team quits because they are down a little in points (Quitters is another name for Losers)

You repeatedly earn 0 kills in the online matches you play. Your ban will be extended or restarted with new offenses
Recommended action: acquire the basics in Campaign first until you can beat it under Normal Difficulty by yourself. You can also get some good practice playing firefight mode and even custom games if you have a friend of equal skill to play against.
This will help you in multiple ways besides getting the basics 1) You won’t be adding 0 kill offenses to your name, 2) help pass the time till your ban runs its course.
Earning a zero kill game usually takes some effort, I recorded a few of my tests… Intentionally trying to earn zero kills. However, if you are shooting your weapon at the enemy it’s very difficult to NOT kill someone.
Rules For Test
- must shoot enemies 2) must earn Zero Kills. 3) Cannot be AFK. Hint: Break their shields and run away. 4) if you accidently kill an enemy, try to win!
Hi I am writing to ask about a credit ban I have received on Halo Reach. I have completed most the game and had around 7 online achievements left which have been just impossible to obtain. I was invited to a game with a few people who offered to help me get these achievements. I got them and now my account has been banned from earning credits. It has been a week now and I am wondering when I am going to be able to earn my credits again? I understand why you would do this to people for cheating most the game or something, and hacking or modding, but I seem to be getting punished for asking for help with achievements that are pretty much impossible to get now? I don’t know. I have spent a lot of time and money on these games only to be punished when I am helped out to get my last few achievements.
I am not saying you should let people get away with cheating games but for these few I just think it’s a little harsh to be banned for so long?

I didn’t see a thread but where do I go to report party boosting and grieving in griffball. It’s annoying to have a party of 7 and them spawn kill you and boost xp for themselves. If a mod could contact me it would be great

I know this is a bit late but Me and My little brother was on halo reach grif ball. And we were just doing good and killing everyone. just hopefully we get enough for we can get to the next rank then in between game. it just said we were credit ban, it didnt even say for how long…we tried looking up and trying to figure out what we did wrong but all we could say was the we were killing too many people and got credit ban? I don’t know and he doesn’t know either. it’s our first time being credit ban. So we want to know why we got ban anyway. it’s just makes no sense.

Unanswered does not equal not monitored. Myself and others in the community frequent this bored. No one answered your post because it is answered right above your post. You were credit banned because while you where AchHunting you earned 0 kills. 0 kills = the 0 kill credit ban.

Again, no. Killing too many people was not the issue. Load up your game history here on waypoint, it was the 0kills earned that got ya the ban. Should be 24-48 hours with further bans imposed if offenses are repeated. The ban seems more sensitive when guest controllers are involved, since its often an abused form of credit boosting.
Unanswered then, I apologise lol. And thanks. I was just worried it was going to last forever or something I’m a big worrier lol. But it’s Ok It’s lifted now Was only 2,000 credits away from reaching Colonel and getting my last achievement haha.
At the risk of me sounding a bit, thick, I’m trying to understand what the no kills thing is (yes I have read the posts lol). So is ‘no kills’ a matter of yourself getting no kills on other players or other players getting no kills on you? Or both? Thank you for the replies.
Hey! My GT: “ShootinScoott” got a 2 week Console/Account ban. I fully admit that I was cheating by Challenge Boosting. All I can do is apologize, I had no idea about the banning system in the Halo games. I definitely understand that I deserved to be banned, but I really enjoy playing Halo (5-6 hours a DAY) and not being able to earn credits during that time really stinks. I most certainly won’t be boosting any longer, but if my ban could be lifted it would be SUPER DUPER appreciated!
if you have a guest play that doesn’t get kills and is sometimes in the negative could this cause the console/account ban?
