I was banned from matchmaking for a week today and have no clue why. I quit games occasionally, such as in when I am getting destroyed, due to it being zero fun. But this only occurs maybe once or twice a day. Is this enough of a reason to ban me for a week or do they think I am cheating for some reason?

I’m not sure if this may be the reason but my son had changed the settings on our xbox and every time we turn on the halo reach game I have to sign him out and sign myself in. Over the past couple of weeks we have been recieving a message everytime we sign on that says we have quit too many games lately. This is really not the case.
now today I went on with a friend of my sons who does not really play halo he had several games where he scored 0 points. I’m told that this can reflect badly on my account. So long story short my account has been banned from earning credits. I was hoping that someone could help me with info about this. Is this something that have corrected? If so how do I go about it? If there is nothing I can do about it how long will this ban be in place?

I somehow got banned from communications for a week on xbox live. I’m confused as to what happened because I didn’t even have my mic plugged in at the time and hadjavascript:__doPostBack(‘ctl00$MainContent$forum$ctl03$PostReply’,’’)n’t for hours.

Parental settings. They are probably set to ask your permission for M rated games (USA has this game rated 17+)

quit ban. It’s temporary but will continue with extended bans if quitting habits do not improve. This is an automated ban system. Sorry. Remember any leaving of the game before it ends constitutes a strike on the record.

credit ban. Rewards will be withheld to players not playing the game, getting zero kills = temporary ban from earning credits. Sorry if this sounds like a harsh punishment but please remember, you are the one allowing your son to play with older folks and he will be playing under the same rules of everyone else. Automated ban system can’t distinguish between child or adult.
What bullcrap is this? It says I have been banned from receiving credits because I was playing with four people, on one xbox; one a girl who has never played halo before, which she got Zero kills for like 5 games and then finally got a kill and then some assists for other games. But the rest of us got kills. What I can’t believe is you punish people just because they can’t compete on the same level as other people right off the bat.

You wouldn’t have been banned for someone else not playing well. If the girl wasn’t playing well she would be credit banned, not you. If you were credit banned it has nothing to do with the other people that you were playing with. Perhaps you just played so much Halo 4 in one day that you hit the XP limit? See if the credit ban is gone after 24 hours.

Your guests are your responsibility. If you know they can’t score a single kill, it was your choice to allow it happen. 0 kills = idle player ban.
Not idle just low skill? Again, you let it happen. Sorry, temporary ban is temporary so… No sweat.
Yesterday I was afk for like 5 minutes during a griffball game and when I came back it said my console was credit banned who can I call to get this resolved.

So me and my friends got a credit ban today. I don’t know why at all.
We just recently found the custom challenge system: We’ve done a grand total of maybe 15 challenges, none of them being over 4k in credits.
We do not go AFK in our games nor do we leave, at most leaving a single game once in 60 games, if that.
We don’t go negative in our games often either. A few -1’s here and there but its very rare.
I’m trying to figure out why we got the credit ban; I don’t think we’ve broken any terms.

i have been a long term halo player, since CE back in 2001. i got reach the day it came out and played all the way up until november 2012. that month i got live. until then i was an offline player. i was a brigadier grade 2, and because of my transition from offline to online, i was sent back to recruit, lost all my credits and armor. i have been a hardcore halo player and it took me 2 years to get to where i was. please, i would like an explanation, and if possible a solution.

You explained it yourself… You changed the account to online. As if the warning was unclear that the credits you earned couldn’t be taken with you.
the point is i speant 2 year on that profile. credits are understandable, but my rank and armor? i dont understand why i should have to do all that work over again.
oh well. arguing wont help me apparently. here comes three to four more years of work.

Your in the wrong place, this thread discusses Halo Reach bans… But your question is easily answered by looking at your recent history. You have more than one Flood match on their where you where AFK. If you where AFK… Well you earned 0 kills. Either way, that kind of performance will not be rewarded with XP/ rank promotion.

How long has it been since the last time you gained XP? If just a day, perhaps you have only hit the daily cap. If longer, look into your own game history. If you habitually score 0 kills… Then your credit ban can extend from a day to a week. Longer if you continue this behavior while credit banned.
Trying to find out why i got audio banned for a week. Havent been playing long and had my kinect voice on. Wasnt talking to anybody though. Whats going on?
