I got a CR ban for my console about a week ago. I’v been waiting to it to go off, cause i thought it would be temporary. But im starting to think its permanent.
In one game I was killing my friend to get a easy spawn spree ( the one with 15 spawns aka broseidon). It wasn’t another live account it was just a quest. So i would like to know if that is the reason for my CR banns or maybe something else? I’d appreciate any information considering the case. Thanks.

Can I get a credit ban for a guest having 0 kills? If so that’s BS and I’d like it lifted
I went down stairs to get my dinner i come back up and i cant earn xp can someone tell me when this ends
Exactly!
Hello? Please lift my credits ban, this is crap

It sounds like you were boosting, which is when a player attempts to get more credits per game by purposely using other players to get a better score. Credit bans are not permanent as far as I know, but depending on how many games you did this your ban could last up to a couple weeks. Sorry.
> Can I get a credit ban for a guest having 0 kills? If so that’s BS and I’d like it lifted
Yes, if you had another controller that was not being used during a game that will lead to a ban due to a bad playing experience for all other players in the game because of unfair/uneven teams. Even if the controller was being used, if the player didn’t get any kills then the system that checks for cheaters will consider your guest to be inactive, leading to a temporary ban.
> I went down stairs to get my dinner i come back up and i cant earn xp can someone tell me when this ends
If you were in a game while absent from the console that means that you were not participating in the match which will lead to a temporary ban. Make sure to leave matchmaking if you’re not going to be present. The bans will last different amounts of time for how long you were doing this. I, nor anyone else, can really tell you how long the ban lasts for sure. You may have gotten a message when turning on the game telling you how long the ban will last.
So halos response to introducing new players to the game is the ban people? That’s so stupid.
> So halos response to introducing new players to the game is the ban people? That’s so stupid.
If you are trying to have a new player try out Halo Reach, you should have them start with anything but multiplayer because all other game modes will not credit ban players for doing bad. Once they get the hang of the game, then bring them into multiplayer.
Also, the system that determines inactive players can’t tell if there is a new player or if someone isn’t playing at all. It will consider a player not doing anything the same as a player not present at their console during the game.
> So halos response to introducing new players to the game is the ban people? That’s so stupid.
Your phrasing is misleading. A credit ban is not the same as “banning new people” they can still play but if they are getting 0 kills in multiple games, they will not be rewarded with rank promotions, new armor or ff voices. That’s what credits are used for btw. Even though they aren’t really AFK, its a good thing they are banned from earning credits temporarily. This allows them to recognize their role as a spartan is to kill things.
Being lethal = job description
Credits = currency
0 kills = not doing job
Not doing job = not getting paid
Fair?
> 1) must shoot enemies 2) must earn Zero Kills 3) Cannot be AFK 4) if you accidently kill an enemy, try to win!
>
> Is it possible to get zero kills without being AFK? Very hard to do. I’ve tried multiple times but the enemies I face refuse to let me lose.
>
> “It’s not fair to punish people that aren’t good enought to get a kill by not rewarding them with credits!” I say it’s not fair to reward poor performance with credits, especially when you cause your whole team to suffer by not earning kills put still being present to give the enemy points every time they kill you.

Anyone shooting their weapon in the general direction of the enemy can get kills. I was trying my butt off to not kill anyone… But it happens. You have to try really hard not to earn a kill or actually be AFK.
Hello,
I have recently been banned from earning credits. My account and my XBOX console. My sister was playing with me as a guest on my account which is “ConcreteLawyer8.”
My sister sucks at video games and out of the handful of games that we played, her K/D averaged at about -13 and she got zero kills aside from one game where she got 2.
My sister was playing the whole time, but she just sucks.
I understand that Bungie uses an algorithm to detect credit boosting, deleveling and all of that fun stuff and I can understand how the algorithm may have banned me for cheating, but I didn’t.
I just played a few games with my sister and I would like to continue to do so, but without the fear of being banned.
I hope that no one has abandoned this post and is still looking at it because I do not want to be banned from earning credits every time I let my little sister play.
If you review the games that we played, you will agree that I did not cheat. My sister simply sucks and her reflexes are horrible.
So, I would really appreciate it if you lifted my ban.
A quick reply would be great as I would like to complete and earn credits for the weekly challenge this week.

You are responsible for your own account bro. If you didn’t know the rules then you know them now. Follow them and it won’t happen again.
why do i have a one week ban on halo 4 voice chat
> why do i have a one week ban on halo 4 voice chat
This a a place for Reach bans but the reason is the same. People mute you, often… So often the ban hammer thinks you might be pretty offensive. On halo 4 its harder to earn because you are constantly being put in team chat. That means you are so offensive your own teammates are muting you often. Let me guess, you use a kinect and have you tv volume loud most of the time?
Im sorry I know I posted this in the Halo 3 forum but I do not know if that is where I should post this
Dear 343 Industries,
I have been permanently banned from Halo 3. I am sincerely sorry for doing what I did. I love halo 3 with a passion and my first game I have ever played on xbox live. It holds a special place in my heart. Words cannot express how sorry I am. I have been banned for almost a year now and I have realized that I cannot simply live without Halo 3. It is indeed my favorite game of all Time. I will literally do anything to play that game on my account again. I am very angry at myself to break the rules. If I get unbanned I will never do such a thing ever again. Please forgive me for what I have done.

Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to read this message to you wonderful people. I am sorry.
Just got online today for the first time. Played for three hours now i am banned from multiplayer match up. no explanation as to why. I did nothing wrong. My console has not been modified. Very frustrating. Paid a lot for a yearly subscription to get banned day one.

your profile says you’ve never played halo reach.
do you mean Halo 4 by any chance?
if so this is the place.
reply i do have kinect, i normally turn it off or have headphones jacked into the TV so its usually a none issue… i guess i left it on… i wouldn’t be annoyed but the not knowing why or the reason for it seems unfair and unjust to ban someone… i dont like have black marks against my name.

Nothing viewable to anyone. Except the mute symbol next to your name. Whenever I see a teammate of mine is mute I always un mute them… But more often than not I find the reason why they were mute in the first place and pretty much have to mute them or suffer loud or otherwise disruptive noise. Just keep playing nice and minding your teams ears and eventually the ban runs out.
