An immoral solution would be to sell the xbox just like the guy that sold it to you did… I wouldn’t recommend it though because you probably wouldn’t want someone suffering the same way you did.
So I havent played this game in about two months and I come back and I cant talk to anyone. My friends told me it was a mute ban. How can I have been mute banned and I havent been on in two months. I am really disliking how 343 deals with problems.

If it was a mute ban I believe that you would get a message stating that you got a ban (don’t quote me on that). Is it possible that your mic is broken? If not, check your in-game settings to make sure that all players can hear you. If that’s not the problem, my final solution is to check your privacy settings to make sure that you can communicate to other players. Good luck.

It has little to do with 343. People mute you often, manually clicking your name and selecting “mute” in the loby other players will see the “mute” symbol next to your name unless the choose to click your name select “unmute”
Normally this happens to players that play with kinect. These players often have their kinect microphone too close to their speakers… This results in their kinect microphone blasting sounds from their tv to every player on the team. This makes people select to “mute” you. So many people have muted you that the mute ban was triggered.
So now, if people want to hear you… They can.
Whenever I see some one who is mute ban I always “unmute” them… But more often then not, I find they are loud and if they don’t correct the problem I just mute them again.
I started a new account and after winning a lot and killing a lot I get a week long ban on my account and Xbox. You have not any grounds to do so. You claim you can’t watch the games but I want you to. This is so dumb and immature for a gaming company to ban me for absolutely no reason. Because I play with pros and win 90 percent of the time. I made new accounts all the time… Some times just to see what matchmaking considers “average level players” even invited my friends to join me so they could see what I meant by “average players”
Some consider that boosting because getting a new account is like getting your trueskill reset allowing you to play against average players. By inviting friends I think if any of those “average” players reported us we would have also been banned for a week… However, never been reported, never received such a ban.
Remember to be polite and say “good game” because hey, they were good sports and took a beating without quitting. No need to rub it in their faces that they were beaten. My guess is players manually reported you and reported you often. Look at your REP, even though you have a “new” account people took the time to say you are unsportsmanlike. Keep it classy bud.

Matchmaking, in order to find proper matches quickly it starts you of against average enemies. If you win, you face slightly better enemies. This will find where you belong faster than starting at the top or the bottom. It’s pretty nice to see what mm considers “average skill”
if you ask me, the “quit ban” is -Yoink-, and needs to be removed… i have quit once or twice in the last three days but iget banned every time anyways and with a-holes spawn-camping and vehicle--Yoink!-, ntm inheritors remaking accts and ACTING like a-holes, its hard to get a decent game, especially with what low traffic reach has currently… my point is if the ban computer cant differentiate between lag and actually pressing the “quit” button then its useless to have a quit ban… i just played about 2 min of a match, long enough to realise that the gauss hog was about to spawn and decide to set up for it when the gunner in the rocket hog i decided to take w/ me betrays me blatantly… i boot him and consequently lag out - i was black-screen for about a full minute - and am taken to the postmatch lobby (“stay with your group and prepare for the next match”) where i promptly back out while cursing lag only to further curse because i’ve been banned for quitting! with less than 5000 ppl currently on reach at any given time and less than 20 games running inany given PL it makes NO SENSE (to me) to have a quit ban especiaal when it cannot tell lag from quitting!!!

Lets pretend it can tell the difference between a loss of connection and a player pressing “quit”… What’s to stop players from just unplugging their Internet? No, sorry. Can’t treat the two situations differently. If you lag out often you shouldn’t be playing on live.
A better solution is to have STRICTER bans on the first person, or even first two people to quit and have no penalty to anyone else who leaves after
I received a message in game that I didnt even get a chance to fully read because it popped up in the middle of me playing a 4v4 match and said something about banned from matchmaking for quitting too many matches. I went to my account and all sorts of stuff to see if there was any other information about my ban but there is not? Does this mean I am permanently banned? I admit I probably quit too many games or disconnected too much or whatever I didn’t realize leaving due to a bad host connection to where the person I am shooting is warping 10 feet back and forth while I’m shooting them. And that is like every other match sometimes. Anyways thats neither here nor there now I am just curious if there is anywhere that I can go look at my ban length if it is temporary or permanent? I really hope it isn’t permanent I didn’t read the code of conduct so if it is permanent I guess that I deserve it but that would really stink because I’m 9 levels from max level.

First quit ban is 15 min… By the time you read my rely… Your problem has been resolved.
I would consider not using a wireless connection. That alone will save you 100ms of lag time. If lag is happening often you have a poor connection.
My own Internet specifications are considered sub optimal yet work very well. So I can only imagine you connection is more “sub optimal” than my own.
I was playing Big team. Went to the lobby because I was gonna run to mcdonalds to get food. Came back and I was banned…I didn’t see eating fast food under the reasons for banning

If your 10 year old nephew isn’t getting any points for your team repeatedly then it is possible that he is causing the bans. The system that investigates players will consider a player that isn’t doing anything for their team to be not present during the game.

If it really was a perminant ban and not a temporary one, then you probably did something against the Xbox Live Terms of Use. If you just did something minor like not playing while in a match you would only have a temporary ban. Is it possible that you stole products for the marketplace or attempted to sell an Xbox Live product in return for another user’s personal information?
