I’m not sure why it takes your service this long to respond to a simple inquiry. If you are avoiding using phones then your forums should have faster response times.
This ban stated I was banned from matchmaking. It didn’t state a time length. I would like to know why I was banned because it is really frustrating me.
it appears the error has been corrected.
I honestly have no idea why I just got banned. Where would I find this out? I’ve read your code of conduct and do not believe any of those violations apply, so how do I find out what I did wrong? I have really just started this game and I have no idea why i was banned and for how long. Im not the greatest player and sometimes i get no kills but I still enjoy playing. Let me know what i have done wrong
Please read recent pages. You will notice post with information on what type of ban they are experiencing are often responded to swiftly…
Are you banned from using microphone? This is Mute Ban.
Can’t earn credits? Credit Ban.
Can’t join matchmaking after you disconnected? Left early or quit. Quit ban.
What are you banned from doing?
I was banned from earning XP. My death kill ratio is not very good as I die more than I kill. I am quite new to online gaming so I am rather slow and i get killed a lot, but I have fun playing and hop to get better. That is the only thing I can think that may be wrong. If I keep getting banned I will never get better.
It looks like it was only for 1 day as I am OK now. But it would be good to know why I was banned.
Hey I think i may have hit my credit max today but the message says “your console has been temporarily banned from earning credits” so im wondering if its just always the same message. Cause i cant see a reason why i got banned today i was just played with friends in a party in swat if i AFK it was only for a second.

If you don’t get kills sometimes the game is built to report/ban those players for a limited time (don’t know how long) because it appears as if players are not playing and just trying to get credits without actually doing anything. The ban shouldn’t last too long.
How do I know if I’m mute banned? I don’t use a mic, but I recently discovered that the Kinect can work as a mic… Oops. I can’t imagine what I was talking about while thinking that other players couldn’t hear me. Not bad language probably, but I talk to my brother a lot about random things while playing. It must be annoying for people to listen to. I do have a few dislikes of my account due to “trash talk” but I want to know if I am mute banned because players are usually unresponsive to me. I just want to know if they are ignoring me, if my mic is broken, or if I’m mute banned. Thanks for any help.
i got a few 0 kill games as well. However, i believe it was due to a faulty disc that wouldnt allow me to load the maps, and eventually would kick me from the roster right before the map started. How long will this ban be in affect? the status message im getting is that the console is banned…not a specific time frame.

If you were console banned that does not have to do with your gaming habits in Halo Reach, it typically means that you broke the Xbox Live Terms of Use. Is it possible that you modified your console resently? If that is not the case you could attempt to contact Xbox Live support, but that usually will not help. Worth a shot though. Depending on the type of problem you might have been accused of committing, your console could be banned for as little as one week or possibly last forever. If you can still play other games online you are not console banned, and the ban for Halo Reach most likely won’t last very long.
Also, if you can’t load maps the disc would have never started to run. Your xbox console would call it ‘unreadable’. If you were kicked from the game it is possible that your internet connection is too poor to play the game online.
O kill credit bans happen only if you started a match and got 0 kills
Quit ban can result from quits/disconects, but only after many instances.
Mute ban turns on after many people manually mute you. If you are muted often, you will be auto muted for a while. If players want to hear you they have to manually un mute you. Which would be fine but a lot of people have loud TV sets blasting sounds through their kinect. They get muted often.

I received a message that says my council has temporairly been banned from collecting point. I can still play halo reach but can’t collect points. My gamer tag is deadlee418. Can any one answere this?

There are a couple of possibilities.
-
You reached the most amount of credits you can earn in one day, because there is a limit on how many credits you can earn in one day. This is the more likely option.
-
If you don’t get kills during matches then you could have been banned because you would be suspected of not actively playing. (So just getting credits for finishing a game but not participating in it can get you temporarily banned.) Usually this option would lead to a ban preventing you from playing Halo Reach at all for a while.

Hello, my 10 year old son has Halo Anniversary (and Halo 4) but has been banned for some reason.
I have looked through your site and the reasons why he could have been banned but we both cannot understand why.
It would be great to know why so he can learn from his mistake, so he never gets banned again.
He LOVES the games and is quite upset that this has happened, but really wants to know why.
Is it possible to let us know?
Thank you for your help
Regards
Prue and Jesse

Is it a console ban (which is for all multiplayer games) or a ban specific to the game he is playing? If it is a console ban then the most likely reason is that he was suspected of breaking the Terms of Use for Xbox Live. You can read about the Terms of Use at xbox.com. Common bans occur from modifying consoles (leading to unfair gameplay) or harrassment of other players (verbally or by message). If it is a ban for the game he is playing it is most likely temporary and is because he might quit too many games early (causing a poor playing experience for others playing) or because he might not play during the matches. This would allow him to pretty much leave the xbox and go do something else while still earning points towards his progress in the game. I’m not saying that he was leaving the TV, but if he doesn’t get any points for his team for multiple games in a row he will be suspected of leaving the xbox.
It is possible that this is just a credit ban, which means he reached the maximum amount of points he can earn in one day. But this ban wouldn’t prevent him from playing the game, he would just stop getting points towards his game progress for that day. There should have been a message informing you of what type of ban this was (Credit ban, game-specific ban, or console ban).
Good luck!
