I was credit banned around 9:30 EST on 1/11/13 and I would like to explain my situation to get unbanned. Me and my father had decided to play some Halo: Reach together. His account did not have Xbox Live Gold, so he played as my guest. Like most middle aged adults he played very poorly, usually scoring between 1 to -1. We were in a game of TU BTB Snipers in matchmaking, when I received the message “You Have Been Temporarily Banned From Earning Credits.” I thought this was due to the fact that another player and I were consistently killing each other because we would remember the spot where the other had killed us. I was not too bothered thinking it was just a misunderstanding and it was only temporary. Later when we were playing TU BTB Slayer on Spire, me and my father were in a Falcon together when we were shot down. That’s when I got the message, “You Have Been Banned From Earning Credits” At first I didn’t believe it, so I played a quick game of Zombies without my dad and sure enough, 0 credits. So please unban me, or if I did not get banned for this reason, please state why. My gamertag is “coconutcombo”.
I was received a notification that I was banned from getting XP on my account, for whatever reason. I do not understand why I was banned. Please let me know why I was, because it seems unfair to be banned and not be told why.

Hi, just recently I was banned from voice chat from halo 4, and I was curious as to why this happened. I don’t recall doing anything inappropriate or against the code. If I did I would really like to at least know why I was banned.

I got banned for no reason…just because I quit a game because people are spawn killing isn’t my fault…and lag OMG fix your servers to handle more than 1000 people 343 yall suck…ruined halo forever…one hour ban for quitting two games is -Yoink-

The servers for matchmaking only make matches, hold maps/gametypes, collect match data and other minor things… But the net code is basically peer to peer, meaning any lag is result of bad connection to host. So, sorry, no servers to fix.
Also, it takes many quiets to build up a bad quit history. I have quit many games, the only time I ever got banned for quitting was durring TU testing… It takes a lot, even then, quit ban is only 15 min.
Everytime I try to upload or access Halo Waypoint it says my gamer tag has been banned? Xbox says it’s my name combination? I don’t use halo waypoint very often and had no problems with last halos just since Halo4 was released? I have had my gamer tag since 2004 and now suddenly it’s not conforming to naming conventions? I think this is a little ridiculous to say the least I can do everything eles in Halo4 match making and such just not access Waypoint.

Maybe people knew what your name was and found it offensive. Even if your name isnt really offensive and enough people click “reoport as offensive name” blah blah blah… bam, your name is banned and you must change it.

Please describe your ban. Banned from playing? Banned from earning cr? Banned from speaking?
So, I was banned at about 12:20am ish. I’m not contesting the ban. I had left too left too many games in the middle. That’s completely understandable. My question is, how long does this ban last? I understand it varies, but I just don’t know how long it’s going to last. Thanks for your help, and my apologies.

it told me i was banned temporarily from getting XP this morning bc yesterday i had to go do the dishes so i told my friends to keep playing i am not mad about getting banned i was just wondering how long do they mean by temporarily?
I was just temporarily banned from receiving gamer xp. I have not violated any agreements, or abused any system of any kind. Can you please look into this, and give me a valid excuse as to why my account was banned from earning xp? From my stand point it seemed pretty unreasonable to be banned for no reason… The only possible reason would be exiting a game due to my connection. If that’s the reason, then it has to be the most ridiculous excuse for a ban I’ve ever seen.

Just because you think your ban should have expired doesn’t mean anything. More than likely your ban ended and you were banned again. I’m gonna ask, are you using a kinect?

LOL, I don’t play match making I only play with a few select friend so I doubt it was reported as offensive by players. Most people do not know the name stands for they don’t even know that GEN is abreviation for General so I doubt they know the other one FUBAR (failed UniBus address register). As I am military and a computer tech I use both military and tech abbreviations and acronyms. Add to that there was a movie named FUBAR so I fail to see the reason for offense. I want someone from waypoint to answer as only they know the reason.
I have been banned and there is no reason for it. I want a reason and to be unbanned immediately. This is ridiculous.
