Hi my gamertag is Lairy Quont and I have just received a message saying my xbox is temporarily banned from receiving credits but i cannot think why? I have only had halo reach 1 week and i have not quit any games or AFKing or whatever it is. Can you help. ? other gamer tags also on my xbox using halo reach were Blackfell Twoca and The Lil Sheep
The circumstances are definitely weird or random b/c I hear and see people that AFK/Quit maybe once or twice from MM and Score Attack and recieve Credit Bans while I have a buddy on my FL who has a connection issue lately. He’s an IT nerd regardless but it’s his provider that’s giving him issues. It’s always at certain points that he gets booted from anything - campaign, MM or FF yet he’s not received any ban OR warning whatsoever. Warning in terms of the MM join delay.
This has been going on for a couple months with him now and while A) I tell him not to play with us for his own sake and B) he rarely plays anyway, it’s happened at least 3-4 times a night around 4-5 times in the last two months.
There’s no actual guage or limit list is there? Just curious.
ok as far i i see ur showing me that my girlfriend didnt get any kills she is fairly new to xbox 360 and cant learn how to walk and aim with both the joy sticks. my question is can i view the videos for these games to see what was done causeing me to be temp banned. not trying to make anyone mad but i really dont know what idle boosting is im not saying my record is perfect or nothing cause its not but ive never modded or cheated. if idle boosting is cheating and if i did it i did it without knowing what it was and without knowing that i was cheating. the reason i want to know if there are videos is because my girl left one game and didnt do anything cause she couldnt get any kills and are these games all in a row or over a lenth of time when was the date i played on these becuase i do remember joining in with oc da ghost.

Well first of all, idling is AFKing…That means that you do not move in the game. That you just don’t play, you stay frosty. And that’s what your girlfriend did. Secondly, the game can tell the difference between AFKing and moving without getting kills. Finally the videos are in your temporary history i hope, so you can see them.

I can see some idling with your profile Lil Sheep occasionally, i can show you some matches if you want. So the only reason i can figure out is AFKing. When a gamertag is temporarilly banned, the console is also banned so that you do not just change profiles and "overtake the ban and that’s why you can’t earn cR on your console with any profile.

Well i gave you some links with matches that she idled in my previous post. And i think that she wouldn’t get banned for AFKing in only one match. The ban lasts from 2-3 days to 2 weeks usually.
the thing i dont get is that she only did it in one game not all of those cause i was playing with her the whole time i remember those matches. this just makes no sence to me. and i have never been banned before so i dont understand y i have to wait so long in order to get credits.

Ok, it doesn’t matter if you were in the games that she idled. If she idled and you played it counts as idling. If you think that your ban is so unfair try to send a private message to an administrator. They could help you. But i think that they won’t lift your ban because i can see idling.

Can’t you find them in your Temporary History? And don’t worry the admins can figure out if you idled or not without any in-game help!!!
thats the wierd thing i went to look for those matches u posted and i couldnt find any vids that have that date or even those exact matches all of the ones i have are dated after non that date. how long do the vids normally stay in ur temp history?
Thank you for your response. I was informed on the morning of September 9th. As I mentioned before I am in South America. There have numerous times when I am just about to complete a challenge for total kills then up pops Dissconnected from xbox live. I then reconnect and it starts my kill total from where I last began the challenge. I was in San Jose playing around 22:00 hrs and was probably disconnected a minimum of 15 times having to start from last saved total, I was ready to throw my controller and trash my xbox. This is pretty much par for the course until I return to Bogota. I was curious if my quitting the game on September 5th around 23:00 hrs is what got me banned. I downloaded the game then uploaded it later to Bungie.net into my fileshare. I do not know why it does not show in my game files on September 5th. That is the only record I have of that garbage. Everyone on my team quit and I quit at 9:33 into the game. Those jerks had the ball and could have easily scored to end the game but chose to have one guy just stand there with the ball while I was assasinated and spawn killed over and over! I am not a cheater but I do now understand why some players do what they do when they are just humiliated and pissed of to no end after a game like that. As I said before I had never quit a game willingly until that day. If I am getting my butt handed to me then so be it but that was just pure BS. One more question I have for you, what is challenge resetting? I thought all the info in these games were kept on Bungies servers.

Hey, My gamertag is Bullets Chase and my File Share is inaccessible. It states that my username is blocked from XBOX live, which I am not, as I am able to actually play the game online. I assume the ban was due to the fact that I had a file in my file share title: “WTF”, which I have since deleted from the file share.
I have been trying to upload something to my File Share for some time now. It won’t let me. I keep getting an error saying “The name of the creator is not allowed on Xbox Live”. I would like to know if I did anything wrong to get this message. If anyone could help that would be Awesome. Thanks.
Because the name “Matthew BMW” is obviously so incredibly offensive and you should change it to “butterflies and kittens”.
But no seriously the profanity filter in Reach is seriously messed up and is blocking gamertags, file names and descriptions which shouldn’t be blocked; hell it would probably even decide that “butterflies and kittens” was somehow offensive.

Well, if it helps, i know that challenge resetting is a glitch some people “illegally” use to reset the challenges and get the cR multiple times. I don’t know if i am able to mention an example here because it’s against forum rules to talk about kind of “mods”. But it is bannable and the point is that challenge resetting is getting challenge cR multiple times by connecting and disconnecting Xbox LIVE. If you think that you didn’t do it, try contacting an administrator and they 'll figure out if you deserve the ban or not. But please note that the system can tell the difference between accidental disconnection and intentional one. And a little piece of advice. If your connection is bad sometimes, try not to play on Xbox LIVE, especially Halo because you can suffer multiple bans (for quitting for example). It happens to me sometimes.

The vids stay there for a long period of time if you do not play any other game than Halo: Reach. But if you insert a different game disk they disappear. Personally i had my Temporary History keeping up to 40-50 games i think. Maybe i am mistaken but i think that is the number.
