You were credit banned because you were trying to earn credits without actually earning them. Make sense?

This is not your first offense, ban will likely be longer than 24 hours. Repeating this behavior will result in longer bans and possibly credit ban placed on your console. Stop going AFK.
I honestly have no idea why I just got banned. Where would I find this out? I’ve read your code of conduct and do not believe any of those violations apply, so how do I find out what I did wrong? My son and I have really just started this game and I have no idea what lesson I’m supposed to take away from this “ban” or how long it is.

Thanks for looking through my game history. I honestly don’t know what caused this. Yes, there’s a game with 0-0-0-0 but if I’m not mistaken, all 8 participants had 0-0-0-0 because the game ended prematurely (I assumed it just glitched on the server side) and dropped us all https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/players/wrathstorm13/haloreach/gamehistory#!/?game=1178071834§ion=Unknown.
But again, as I read the code of conduct, one game of 0-0-0-0 shouldn’t have done this, because you’ve got to be a habitual 0-0-0-0 player, for the BanHammer to interpret it as AFK. Again, I don’t see that at all in my game history and believe this ban is totally capricious.
I’m a parent in my late 40s and I can’t explain to my son why we’re banned or how long. I find that very frustrating and unfair.
How old is your son? If he’s old enough to be playing a rated M for Mature(+17) game… He should be old enough to understand " I’m losing pretty bad, I’m probly not ready to earn credits and rank up yet."
Credits are currency of the game sir. Spartans job is to be lethal. No work no pay. Also, he is not banned from the game, he just won’t be earning credits till the ban is lifted. That’s not a bad thing exactly. Just tell him to keep at it. Not to sound mean or anything but the more he loses, the sooner he will start playing with kids his age/ skill level. When he does, getting kills against his peers will result in games that don’t shoot up red flags to the banhammer.
Also, might want to check game history one more time. It is any game with 0 kills.

Banned from matchmaking? Banned from Earning credits? Banned from Speaking? There different types of bans sir, please read a page or two of this thread and you will likely find what you are looking for.
But if you do find nothing and want some one to assist you, please describe your ban so people can better understand your situation.
Just browsed through your game history…You have played yesterday so you haven’t been banned from matchmaking for a week.
I’m guessing you are experiencing a credit ban. You played many games where you scored 0. So many times, you have probably received this ban more than twice.
First time ban is 24 hours, then 48 hours then a week. I suggest sticking to campaign and firefight until you feel more confident in your skills. If you continue this behavior in matchmaking more sever bans are likely coming your way.
I posted about a week ago and got no response. I really need help or guidance of some sort because I really want to play Halo 4. I called X-box support and they told me to post here. I am not sure if I got banned because there was no notification or anything. Every time I try to play matchmaking I get sent to the main menu or lobby and it shows that everyone left the game even if they did not. This happens right after the teams are set up. When I called X-box support they told me that I may have been banned but it has been about a month and the problem lingers. If someone can help me I would greatly appreciate it.

This thread is about Halo Reach bans… It sounds like you have connection problems that result in quit ban. A few disconnects are fine but if they happen often enough that it results in a quit ban you should consider a different service and be sure you don’t use a wireless connection.

Or same provider but a better package/service. Like I use AT&T. Using their third fastest service. Gives me minor lag issues at certain hours of the day. I could upgrade to a different service they offer and still keep them as my provider… But I’m to cheap. I have a 2.0 k/d… So no real need anyway.

No clue. Most likely this is not your first time receiving the ban.
Hello, I just received a “temporary ban from earning credits” and I am confused why? I read the code of conduct and can’t see anything that I have done wrong? I did play several games with my wife who doesn’t ever play and did horribly, but this is the only thing I can think of that I’ve done differently? Any explanation would be appreciated! Read Pages 236-238… plenty of info explaining how, why, and what you can do to avoid it from ever happening again.
