> So then why did I receive a Console and personal account temporary ban from earning credits? I know we were both on the same xbox, and she was doing that bad, but does that really mean I should be punished? Just the ban system kinda makes me that curious.
Console ban only comes after repeat offenses. This is to make sure that even a person doing this creates more accounts, they can’t avoid the ban.
O.O Wow. I feel like I was just slapped in the fact with that comment. I’ve never intentionally just sat in a match and earned 0 kills.
So because she made her one and only account on my xbox, and she can only play when she visits, I’m to get punished for it? My console should be taken out of the equation. That is too far if that the case.
i dont know about the credit caps but lately when i even first turn on my 360 and load halo:reach matchmakeing i get a notice saying that i have quit too many games recenty and i never quit games i want the match bonus to bad so why would i??? but other players in my party espeacially in firefight matchmakeing quit constantly and i get the notice then as well. i’ve even been temporaly banned from matchmakeing for the 10 min period, but again i dont quit games… i need help with this issue its very agravateing and its killing the time that i do have to play. more info im useing a 4glte mifi device to play and i dont lose connection im never getting signed out of xbox live or any of that. ive called xbox live support and was told that this is my only option to post a thread and see if theres help out there for me. i apoligize if this is the wrong thread however i am out of options. PLEASE HELP SOMEONE!!!

First time bans are usually 24-48 hours if I remember correctly.

I’v run into similar issues with my significant other too… But we long came to the conclusion that if she can’t get kills in matchmaking, we will be staying in custom games, campaign, firefight or other games altogether. However there is no logical reasoning we could come up with that would lead us to believe she is entitled to credits for earning 0 kills. We have yet to receive a console ban though. Hope you guys find something that works for you guys.
So then, once the ban is lifted(Havent checked in the past few days), you’re saying if we want to keep playing matchmaking, I should get her kills before earning my own kills to prevent having this situation come across again? Cause that’s how im interpreting it.
She enjoys Matchmaking a lot even sucking. It’s just something we can do. She doesn’t care for the story or firefight mode. We’ve tried Firefight before and it never entertained her.
So as much as your suggestion would naturally seem best, it’s really unavoidable. Both of us will have to stay forever banned from earning credits until someone decides to just let us have them.
This is honestly a total non-sense method of keeping players on the straight and narrow. Specially when they’ve done nothing wrong. The idea is to ENJOY the game. Not be stopped from fully enjoying it because they can or can not play well.

What? Excuse you! Telling you how to bypass bans is against the rules my good man. I would never. But factually speaking, if her controller happens to earn a single kill… Yes, she would avoid the credit ban.
Earning zero kills will earn you 0 credits… The ban hammer noticed, logged it in… You kept repeating the behavior and got credit banned. Did you have anything else you wanted to talk about?

> Totally just made my gf and I laugh really hard
Glad to hear. This thread tends to be just… 200 some odd pages of buzzkill, bummer, too bad, killjoy and baww thread. Nice to giggle once and a while.
I was credit banned for a week and literally the day before the ban ended i somehow gained xp while played slayer (or swat)? with some friends. It was a long time ago and i was wondering if its even still possible to get my rank back. My hopes aren’t high though as it was a pretty long time ago

You can now rank up faster than you used to be able to. Credit cap is 300,000 I think. you should be able to get in in a few hours of playing. Faster if you use custom challenges right. 3 hours, easy.
Im wondering why i was banned and for how long? i Turned my xbox off directly from reach i migt have been in the lobby. then when i came back to play next i was banned.
I was “permanently banned” today and i’m unsure why. I have contacted Xbox live and they have told me that I have a perfect standing with them and they are SURE that I am not hacking or modifying my Xbox. All of my communications are shut off on my Xbox simply because i play with my children and all of the cursing is offensive. So I am certain that it was not for unsportsmanlike behavior. I am really confused guys. Can someone please contact me with some reasons for the ban? I have a reference number from Xbox for our conversation if you would like to verify that what I am saying is correct. (ref. # 1190403448 ) You have my email so please contact me with some information pertaining to why my and my children accounts have been banned permanently. Thank you,
Jeremy Ryan
Last two post above… You guys mention you are banned but you poorly describe what type of ban.
Ed1337… If you are mute banned you can do nothing but hope your teammates unmute you. If people want to talk to you, they can. Are you using a kinect? Kinect users often have their unit close to loud speakers… It is annoying for other players, other players will mute you every time.
