I played Halo Reach last night - Grifball… When I got up this morning to play again, I was notified that “This xbox 360 console has been temporarily banned from earning credits” and “This account has been temporarily banned from earning credits.” I don’t understand why this has occurred as I am new to the xbox community and the Halo Reach community. There was no explanation as to why this temporary ban was put on my console or account. I would just like to know why this ban was implimented and when it will be removed. I need to know what I did because I don’t know and by knowing, I will not allow it to happen again. Thank you for your prompt reply. DaySleeper Greg

I would like to know why I have received the following messages:
“This Xbox 360 console has been temporarily banned from earning credits.”
“This account has been temporarily banned from earning credits.”
I haven’t played much in the last few months. I have been on deployment from the end of Nov 2011 (which was the last time I played on the account until about 3 days ago) for about 6 months and I haven’t really haven’t had time to up until recently. As far as I know, I haven’t done anything wrong but suck really back on a few games. There was one game that I did quit because of a team member dropping before the match started and another one quitting shortly after the game started. The other team member and I were getting slaughtered, so I quit… Other than that, I haven’t been AFK or quit any other games. The only other thing that I’ve noticed is that the connection with the other players and myself was in the red, but didn’t have any lag. Could you please help me find out why I’ve been banned? Is this something that can be lifted? If not, how long will this ban last? I’ve lost a lot of credits from not being able to earn them… =( My GT is the same as my name: Th3 AbUs3D 0n3

I was playing Halo Reach on October 13, 2012. Between 4ish to 7 I was playing with two guests and my girlfriend (PhotoBunny117.) We played several games over the course of the three hours and towards the end of playing both my girlfriend and I had our accounts credit banned, along with of course our console. Both of my guests were not very good to say the least but they both were actively playing every single game. My girlfriend just recently made her account and is upset that we can not earn credits now. I was curious to find out if we could have it reversed. If that is not possible, and I hope that is not case, then I was wondering how long it will last. I appreciate any information I can get as I talked to a representative at Xbox Live Suppprt and they had never heard of a Credit Ban. They directed me to this thread telling me I could possibly get it reversed and that I could find out why it happened. He said the only advice he could give me is to let my guests get more kills, but I’m not sure that is really a solution to it.

ok so i was playing halo reach got a sufficient number of kills each game wasnt cheating or moding or anything of the sort but last week it said this xbox360 is temporarily banned from earning credits and it is now sunday and it still sais that wats going on and how can i fix it

uhmm just wanting to know why i have been put on negative credits in halo reach i was playing today and i braught juns or carters voice and then i played a mission and i looked at my credits and they were negative something like -59876 or something like that and i dont know why seriously i need help!!! y has this happened and the worse bit was i got no messages or anything like that to say i was banned and then i was chatting to xbox customer support and they said to leave a reply in this thread and i should get a reply

Your account & console were banned due to AFKing activity in this game: TU Neutral Bomb Assault on Hemmorhage.
First time bans tend to last 24-48 hours, any long is at least a 2 week ban.
What dose AFKing activity in this game mean Thank you

AFKing is when a player searches for a match, and doesn’t play, but still receives credits for it.
AFKing acivity is when a player receives zero kills in a game, which looks like they’re AFKing to get credits.
Although it mean a few false positives can happen, it stops people AFKing and getting away with it so often.

so i was getting 15-20 kills a game. but she was getting 2 or less per game. well we were playing when all of a sudden my account was banned from earning credits. i was mad, but continued playing cause i enjoy the game. 
so the next match i start playing when it says my Xbox is now banned temporarily from getting credits?!? i don’t understand how i’m getting punished for playing with family who isn’t the best at gaming if you could do anything to help me, it would be most appreciated

As you said, your cousin had a game or two with zero kills, which flagged you for a ban under AFKing activity.
Bans aren’t appealable, and from the ban hammers view, that guest was AFK.
First time bans tend to last 24-48 hours.

Hey uhmm I was playing a game with my sister I had 82 something credits in armoury and the I Braught June or carters helmet and the play a few mission check my armoury and I have negative 53783 credits how did this happen and want to know I this can be fixed and why this happened to me
Im banned from earning credits why? and how long does this last?
Tonight My dad, his girlfriend, her two sons, my cousin, and I were playing matchmaking, and an alert popped up in my dad’s, his girlfriend’s, and my screen saying we are banned from earning credits, but we haven’t gotten any messages. We don’t cheat, we don’t mod, we follow the rules, and don’t understand why this has happened. Can someone help?

my friend GSDS Assasin and i play on the same xbox and have been getting the ban from credits message for the last four days. first of there is no specific time period stated when we sign in to play. also we have neither gone afk nor boosted or used any other method of cheating that would cause the ban the only explanation is that my frien on ocasion has a high negative k/d ratio from time to time but a lack of skill is not a banable offense and if it is i will have to cancle my halo 4 pre order and take my business to other games since i enjoy playing with many players and not all of them for their skill. i would appreciate a timely reply to this post.
Ok, this is the dumbest thing I have ever experienced. I am a big gamer and never have I played a game that bans you from playing - especially with no warning or telling people what the ban is for. I still have no idea what I did wrong on my account ( all I do is play the game). I’ve played halo games for years and never even heard of this.
These blogs don’t even really answer my question because I havn’t done any of the things listed.
1.They need a warning to each person if they do something wrong
2.They need to inform people on what it is that they are doing wrong
3.They need to notify people on how long their ban is
4.If people are away from keyboard they need to have an auto exit for the next game. If someone has to go to 9the bathroom or something and exit then they get in trouble for quiting the game. This is a double edge whammy.
5.If people are boosting then warn them not to boost because not a lot of people even know what that means.
6.If it looks like people are deranking then it could be someones kid playing or a friend.
7 People pay money to buy halo games and xbox live and to be banned with no explaintion is absurd.
8.You should get credit for when you do good and no credit if you do bad - that’s how halo 3 was.
9.If there is such an issue with bossting credits then why even have them on the game?
