I want to know why I was credit banned today. I was just playing on my friend’s console with him and his other guest, then I was credit banned. I was thinking why this had happened. I’ve also just noticed that I’ve got a 100% unsporting conduct rating! How on earth can this be as I try to be very fair!? Occasionally I do shoot someone on my team by mistake but this is never done deliberately.
I’ve searched the internet to find an answer but there does not seem to be any reason other than there must be some idiots out there who get a kick out of getting new XBox Live users and Halo players banned.

Hi, after playing with some friends as guests for a few hours yesterday I received a message that I am temporarily banned from earning credits. Can I find out why and for how long? Thanks
Edit: Additional info, one of the guest accounts was someone who had never played halo before and the other is rather inexperienced, so their k/d were substantially behind the main account. Would this have led to the ban?

Players filing unsporting conduct reviews does not get you a ban, that’s the only their reason for hopefully avoiding you and has nothing to do with bans as far as I know,
If you are innocent of anything contact support, if you are guilty don’t try and BS them, do the time and forget it.

Okay I’m getting real tired of being on “probation”, so much so, I’m trolling the forums. I haven’t quit a game in days, I never intentionally betray, yet every time I sign on (and multiple times during games) I get the same stupid message.
Then I get betrayed for the rocket launcher, the guy gets immediately sniped, so I lost my cool and betrayed him.
First, booting should be instant, or not at all. Second, how does someone get off of “probation?”. Seriously, it was like two weeks ago, I quit several games in a day, I just wasn’t having a good time playing.
I can easily go play MW3 and not have to deal with any of this, tell me, no tell us why we shouldn’t. Someone can betray for a weapon, we get booted for retaliation and they go on playing, probably doing the same thing again and again.
Halo 4 better be epic for the state of disrepair you left Reach in.

I was Banned today from matchmaking temporarily, I quit some games because in one game i was playing doubles and my teammate kept committing suicide. In the second one my teammates quit and i was faced against the rest of them. I’m not that good lol. I have been playing a lot recently and it started giving me a warning about quitting,then today everyone went red bar and it showed everyone else quit. I was instantly banned. Please help me figure out wat was going on?

You were AFKing (you or/and your guest) in matchmaking. I can show you two games that i 've found, here is the one, and that’s the second. AFKing is bannable, and the ban lasts up to 2 weeks.
k so on friday night i got banned for idling through games im sure its been 48 hours when will my ban get lifted ? it does not say that i am banned for 2 weeks only temporarily banned on my console and account someone plaz help me out

We play every day when we are at home. We always follow all the rules however we are banned from earning credit now as of yesterday at approximately 1:35 pm. Also the night before at approximately 12:54 am I recieved a message from someone I don’t know (gamer tag is Dark Wolf 649) saying “i will hack u 4 fun”. At approximately 1:35 pm the same day we received the consol and account ban messages. Could this person have done this?

It doesn’t seem to me like a hack. If you were hacked that means that somebody has messed with your account so you wouldn’t be able to sign in. In addition, if someone has recovered your gamertag you also wouldn’t be able to sign in. However, you should file a complaint against the guy that send you the message because he obviously violated the code of conduct, and if you have further concerns, contact your local Microsoft support… The reason of your ban is probably AFKing with one of the accounts. If you AFK with one of them, the others get banned too so that gamertag swapping is avoided. The ban can last up to 2 weeks.

I seem to be having difficulties in finishing games. The game will stop and and say reconnecting to new host. After a minute the game will restart and I am the only one left and then game over. I just received a message saying I have quit too many games and I guess I am on probation. My internet tests just fine and Reach says my connection is excellent. I am afraid to play now for fear of getting banned. What do?

Head to http://www.xbox.com, choose your region and choose support…You 'll see their phone number. Call them and tell them your problem, you 'll need all your gamertag and email information and your xbox serial number. But don’t contact them for Halo problems, just for Xbox LIVE and account issues. I’ve talked to them quite some times for problems that i had.

You cannot survive host changing so its probably your connection. It sucks i know it happended to me lots of time… And Reach says my connection is not faulty 
Is spawn killing bannable now? I was credit banned recently and I don’t know why. I only afk’ed one game and I don’t cheat to earn credits. Only thing I can think of is I spawn killed in grifball. I’m not claiming innocence. Just would like to know why and how long I am banned for. Thanks.
I was playing Reach earlier and I got credit banned, I dont even know why I never knew Reach had such weird rules. I never stopped playing for more than a couple minutes so I dont think it was from idling. I dont cheat or boost or any of that. When I got the credit ban this is what happened, I rage quit a few games not sure how many. When I joined another game and completed it I got a message warning me not to leave anymore games and as soon as I clicked ok on that I got a temp credit ban message… Any help?
