why was i cr banned for two weeks?

You are right, we were never promised an official answer; however, we also were not promised to get credit banned for “0” kills.
There is someone or some group who is responsible for the ban hammer, they are either tired of answering or afraid. That instrument is maintained by someone. It went down a couple of days ago and I know it didn’t miracuously fix itself!
That being said we ARE entitled to an answer from someone who is not just guessing. I’m not dissing you volunteers who answer some of our posts, your answers just amount to speculation.
There should be a guide published listing the criteria used to ban us. I also believe that Microsoft, Bungie and 343i are missing a huge market of people who would like to play but are just starting. Of course everyone doesn’t want you to play on their account or console as they might be banned.
I’ve heard the answer of using a Custom game or Firefighting to hone your skills BUT I’m the one paying monthly for the privelege of playing and if I choose to play matchmaking it is my right.
Basically we want a firm answer from the ban hammer why and for how long and there should be an avenue for appeal.

The ban hammer is a automated tool, it wasnt fixed by itself because there are maintenance team or 1 guy who works on it.in my opnion i hate it, i got banned of halo3 for no reason.

While a fair point, it sucks to try and get these achievements, there is nothing wrong with full party boosting, meaning these achievements are easily obtainable without the means of cheating in a way that would break the rules to get your credit banned again.
These achievements can be earned, just incredibly hard to do.

Then, in due time, it should be analysed and then be decided whether the person in question deserves a ban.
Also, send out warnings…It’s not good letting people off and then banning them. Tell them they’ll be banned so they’ll stop straight away, and won’t -Yoink- and moan about their account being taken off them =)

All complaints filed to Microsoft are read within 24 hours of them being sent.
Also, no, people should be banned instantly, no warning at all.

By the sounds of it, you’re lagging out of games, try restarting your router and see if you still have the issues then, if so, contact your ISP and ask what’s up.
We have done that but still happens. We can play other games together online and have no problems. If its lagging out then why isn’t my husband getting the same problem. We are on the same router.

Once again, contact your ISP, they’ll know a lot more about you disconnecting during online games.

Depends on if you have been banned or not in the past.
First time cR bans tend to last 24-48 hours.
Anything after that is usually a 2 week.
i was playing custom games with my friends the other night and got banned, i would like to know why, my gamertag is Frost Reaper 15.
I was banned yesterday for quitting games…however I did not quit a single game…I was booted for betraying…I didn’t betray. They intentionally committed ‘suicide’ so I would get booted so they could take the item I had…like a tank, rocket launcher, laser, sniper…One guy jumped in front of my tank blast after shooting the tank repeatedly trying to kick me out of it, I was aiming at somone on the other team and he jumped on from behind…I got booted, although he commited suicide. One guy punched me until I got out of a rocket warthog, then jumped into it and tried to run me over…so I threw a grenade…which of course killed him and I was booted. To me that’s self defense…but anyway. One player wasn’t playing and hadn’t been playing for most the game, costing our team points, as the other team kept finding him and killing him, so I threw a sticky grenade at an enemy player who ran in front of me and began assasinating the ‘not playing’ guy…gernade went off killing them both…betrayal. Seven minutes later I guess ‘Mr. Not Playing’ comes back from the ‘bathroom’ or where ever and boots me.
Anyway…my point is…there are some real jerks in Big Team…isn’t there a way to determine if your team mate was attacking/shooting you or previously killed you before it decides to allow them to boot you. I mean they should be counted for ‘suicide’ or ‘team member attack’ or something. This is pretty common for people to be ‘jerky’ trying to take something you have…or just being an idiot and shooting at their own team…just because.
Am I the only one that thinks there should be some accountability for being a jerk?
Seriously…when I play on a team I defend my team mates and help them…I don’t try to take something they have, hit them, kill them, block them, push them off the top of the ‘Spire’, or shoot down their Banshee, Tank, Warthog…etc… etc.
When they kill me…not once does it ask if I want to boot anyone…and unless they did it OBVIOUSLY on purpose I wouldn’t anyway.
The ‘final’ boot was when I was driving a Warthog for someone and a guy on my team jumped from a cliff above me onto my car…I DID NOT even see the ‘invisible man’ until he died and his invisibility went off…not that I could have stopped even had I seen him …I mean, he jumped down on us from above. So I got a betrayal and booted…then banned. He should have gotten a suicide…
Sorry for the rant…but hey…I’m feeling ‘slighted’ here…
I’ve been playing for hours trying to get my rank up and today I got credit banned on my console for no reason that I can see. I’m not very good and if this is the reason why I got banned then this is very unfair and I shall stop playing.

Have you reached the limit ? If you have it will be fine tomorrow, 200.000 is the max each day.
I’ve not reached that limit. It would be good if I had.
This is my first ever ban and I really can not see any reason for it. I hardly ever quit a game and the only reason I can see is that in the last few games I really did not play well.
Was playing last night with a guest who had never played Reach before. He was pretty bad (few kills, fell off the map a few times, etc.), I was just wondering if that was the reason for the credit ban? You can see that the guest (1)or(2) account was pretty awful but the owner account was very active. We still won/almost won many games even with the poor guest performance.
Any reply or clarification would be helpful.
