OldFart1958i am stumped as to why you have a credit ban.According to your history you have play no MM games and only custom FF and one custom slayer game. Normally you may get one for getting zero kills in several games in a row but only in Matchmaking not customs. Moa? or anyone else got any ideas as to why Old Fart is banned.
benny blanco108 what type of ban have you received. Is it a credit ban or a console ban from XBL.
Easy Company ED what gamertag do you play under so i can look into as to why you are banned.
Quick question - I am a parent and have logged in on my son’s profile. My father bought a used xbox and halo reach game Friday (today is Monday), as of today, he was banned - keep in mind he is a 65 year old man who wanted to play with his grandson - how do we go about figuring out what he did and make sure it doesnt happen again - and is it possible that it could be the used xbox he bought? Any suggestion would be great - I have thumbed around my sons profile trying to see if bad behavior is logged in any way so I can see - but I couldn’t find it - and my parent profile is blank.

Hi There - this is Kristina again - I read a few earlier posts, and I think I figured out the problem - my father (65 year old man), doesn’t get kills every game, the most he has had is 2. Is it best to try to play offline until he gets better? Now for the silly question - can accomodations be made to players who are not so good?
Sorry Striker the ban system is automated and has no right of reply. It sucks, We all know that and hope that with the release of Halo 4 the banhammer can better detect true AFKing and not someone who is just getting killed a lot and getting no kills. 343i employees do not answer these posts so unfortuntely you please for a break for the old guy will fall on deaf ears. They are answered mainly by gamers like me who want to help people understand why they are banned. My recommendation for your Father is to play FireFight with his grandson. If he cant get any kills doing Matchmaking FireFight them try custom firefight where he cannot get banned from at all.
Hi. This is my first ban. Were we cheating? Yeah. my friend and I were attempting to get some achievements that we will not get through typical gameplay. My last three are the two infection achievements and “Don’t touch that.” The problem is these are map specific.
We got banned by having idle guests and trying to make some of these achievements work. We played probably 30 rumble pits and got banned on about number 8. Fine, we weren’t after credits anyway. For a couple of games we boosted some assassinations and a couple other metals that were likely to never occur. If we could have gotten the match setups we needed for the achievements we would have needed perhaps 5 games, but whatever.
Also, it would be nice to add playlists where I can actually get these remaining achievements. I am not a bad player by any means, but these achievements are impossible because I the likelyhood of getting an appropriate match is about 1 in 10,000. I think boosting is stupid, but seriously… Some tweaking of the ban times would be nice. How about lifting the ban after 5 games of not boosting?
I didn’t read the last 6000 posts to see how these situations are treated.
Hi and thanks for your time, I was recently credit banned the other night and it still hasnt gone away, I believe its because I was playing split screen with my girlfriend and it was thought that she was idle but in reality she sucks really bad so I believe the most kills she has gotten in a game is 2. I hope that the ban can be lifted, or does anyone know how long it will last?

Well you openly admitted to boosting, so the ban will stand, a tip for the future though if you plan on boosting achievements then, as long as everyone is playing and has a kill, you will not be banned.

You were most likely banned for AFKing activity, the ban hammer can’t tell the difference between an AFK player and someone who is bad at the game sadly.
If your ban still hasn’t expired after 48 hours, expect it to last for two weeks.

First time bans tend to last 24-48 hours.
when i read this it reminded me of the letters sent to bungie about recon
AS i qoute a bunch of people sent this
“dear bungie i am a 9 year old with cancer and all i want before i die is recon helmet”
btw i was temp banned for 10 minutes

If you don’t want to be quit banned, then don’t quit games.

Thanks The Little Moa, I was trying to teach my girlfriend how to play. Guess I’ll do it somewhere besides matchmaking. 
So Yesterday My Internet wasn’t working properly and I lost connection to LIVE several times. I’ve since fixed the problem, however I just lost connection in a single game today and received a ban, while I get why I think the system would work better if it also took into account the games a player finishes as well. I’ve been playing the better part of the day, at least 6 or more, and one bad connection between me and the host (I did not get kicked off LIVE) and I get the ban again. If you can’t do anything OK. But a time frame to wait would be useful.

After you are quit banned, you are still on probation, it lasts usually 24 hours and will go away if you don’t quit, however, if you quit again, it will add another 24 hour onto it.
The only way to stop it is to stop lagging out or stop quitting.
Why was i banned? i was just playing a game with my freind (social slayer) having fun and chilling then suddenly i get banned out of no where and he is fine why did i get banned. I have done nothing wrong the connection was fine and everything i have really good connection i pay like 40$ a month for it. I went on xbox.com support and they told me to post here and see if you could help me so please do thanks.The game i was banned on was halo3 i know this is reach but i got told to post here
