I got home today from work and sat down to sign into live in halo reach and I discover a very upsetting message… “this xbox 360 console has been temporarily banned from earning credits”. I contacted xbox support and they stated they have no jurisdiction over bans with halo, only the “ENFORCEMENT TEAM”. There is no contact number or email for them and no way to get ahold of them! I have been a dedicated and very fair matchmaking player ever since Halo 2 first stepped into the world of online gaming. I RARELY quit my games because the rate I play, I often get the 3000 cR slot machine… I don’t betray my teammates, use extreme foul languauge, harrass other players or any other violation of the code of conduct in Halo Reach… So whoever banned me needs to please release it cause I seriously have done nothing to merit a credit ban on my account and its kinda immature given the dedication that I place into matchmaking… I dont mean to sound rude but banning someone for seriously doing nothing but putting hours on end of gameplay is very upsetting and I am trying to complete the current weekly challenge: Multiplicative… Please take this childish ban off my account and allow me to continue supporting one of the best games ever created… I Love Halo, please don’t ruin that for me… I beg you. (By the way, I don’t hack, use mods, or go afk cause I am constantly playing either swat or slayer)
i know the feeling Alprimus3183, i loved working on my commendations, i played team slayer, grifball and infection most untill i went on one day to find out i had a perminent ban, very unfair, been trying to find out why since new year but no success yet, its dissapointing when legit players get hit with things like this when there are people out their doing worse and getting away with it.
So I was off at a friends house and when I came home and started Halo Reach it said “This console has been temporarily banned from receiving credits” I played Halo before I went to my friends house and it worked fine. My brother may have played while I was gone what could he have done to cause this and how long will it last?
I was just playing firefight with my son, Monster TS, when we and my console got a temporary credit ban. We did nothing wrong in that session. We both started out with cloaking and sniper for a better chance of getting our survivor commendation up while still getting kills. We then continued with other wepons after we got our Be The Bullets medals. when the firefight match was almost over, the messages popped up. We never mod, hack, or manipulate connections. We never do anything to give us the advantage over other players or affect their game in any way. I bought this game on pre-order and I pay for my Xbox live family account on a regular basis. Nobody should be telling me how to utilize my purchase as long as I am not affecting anyone elses gameplay; nobody should be telling any consumer that. why don’t you leave that up to our complaints and just allow us to avoid players we don’t appreciate instead of taking away what we already paid for. I’m pretty sure, sooner or later, a group will get together and take legal action for stealing our purchases from us. Maybe we’ll just bring down your record sales by not even playing your games anymore. Honestly; we don’t even intentionally betray teammates or only paly in manners that affect our game or profiles even if it has a negative impact on our ranks. So who are we hurting but ourselves. What makes it worse is we don’t even get informed about why we got banned and so we do not even get the opportunity to debate in our defense. I demand you lift this unjust ban and return my experience that I have paid for with MY hard earned money. Our gamer Tags are Monster TS and Tueton.
Took xbox console to friends house and next morning had temp ban from earning credits. Ban lasted 2 days. Played for weeks at home after ban expired with no issues. Took xbox console to same friends house and again the next morning Xbox console is now banned.

Yesterday I was permanantly console banned from Halo: Reach. I know I deserved it sort of but I need to know if I will be banned from Halo 4 when it comes out. I was on the circuit and we were playing Reach for lolz (we had mainly been playing Halo 3 for practice) and thats when the ban came.

I wouldn’t think you’d get banned in Halo 4 as well. The whole progression system is now pivotal due to things like weapon unlocks and Specializations.
So no, I think it’s safe to assume you wan’t be banned from earning EXP/Spartan Points in Halo 4.

I wasn’t banned for credit boosting. I was banned for Modding and game manipulation.
(I modded my armor color to be transparent And made my service tag to εїз)
And I was banned from playing Halo: Reach Online, Not from earing credits.
Reading your terms of service is obviously not all truth, you claim that a ban would not result in occasional network issues yet you just temporarily banned me. Love how it makes an excuse as well to say you quit when you didn’t. That way I can’t have an argument. The “good” ol’ corporate setup.
I’m not banned, but I do have a few questions about it…
Is it your account that gets banned, or is the console itself shut down… say like, a friend on their own account did something to get banned on your console while you weren’t even playing or online, are all other accounts banned on that system? if so, would it release the ban to simply switch to another console?
Also, does a ban mean you are not allowed to join matchmaking? Or is it merely for credits?

And i observed a funny thing as well looking at his stats. In every FFA game he has played with his 3 guest accounts the other 4 player are all showing with zero kills, deaths and assists with a big fat DNF next to there name. While i am not accusing it sure looks very suspect to me. Cough “Host boot” cough.
I haven’t been banned but have a question about the banning process.
When I avoid someone for the unsporting conduct, does that affect whether they get any restrictions. recently I have been doing this to people who use armor lock to do stuff other than destroy vehicles, since to use it any way else is what I think is a cheap trick and unsporting. its the only category that made sense for my complaint and did not realize.
