And i see people posting about being AFK banned like the guy at the top of this page, and im always at my controller the only time i get up is to use the restroom and if i do otherwise ill go to the lobby. <mark>Its not in the rules to get at least 1 kill a game. That’s ridiculous.</mark> This just occured to me that what if some one were to rune out in the middle and get one kill then just AFK the rest of the game would they get banned? Im pretty sure they wouldnt. that right there proves my point alone. i have been banned not for AFKing or Boosting but for not getting any kills. and people that get one kill and afk the rest of the match dont get banned because getting 1 kill saves your banned. theres nothing more to say then that i have been banned for not getting a kill. And another thing; how can you even tell if someone is AFK you cant see them in person. they can be holding their controller in there hands watching people kill each other. but they arent afk they are still playing and if they dont get any kills then they will get banned for boosting or afking no doubt cause obviously you think this game is about getting kills and no having fun. <mark>I dont HAVE to get a kill in the game if i want to go an entire day playing the game just running out in the middle of combat spinning in circles shooting in the air because i think its fun i can do that.</mark> i dont understand how you think this game is competition when its supposed to be for fun.

Yea i know its not perfect seeing as i have been banned for no reason? So did you see any boosting going on? no you didn’t… exactly so i don’t deserve a ban. and yes mender is my friend and i was talking to him in the party. We have established that i have been banned for not getting a kill in a few games correct? Now if that is correct let me know. Because i still don’t know exactly why i am banned. Tell me why i was banned and what i did that was sooooo against the rules that i got banned and not the other people i played with that got one kill then went AFK the rest of the time. PLEASE tell me how that makes sense why IM banned out of everyone else. Elaborate.
I am trying to find out how long my temporary ban is in effect because all I was doing was boosting achievements with my friends, and was unaware of the consequences of killing game time and killing my idle controllers. I dont care about stupid medals or exp in halo, Im just trying to get my achievements and move onto the next game so I can have them all completely beaten before 4 comes out. If I could get any information as to when my account will be up and running again, or if you can waive this problem, and let it serve its purpose that I wont kill my idle controllers while boosting achievements it would be greatly appreciated.
I just went on my xbox 360 today, and went on Halo Reach. And a heading pops up saying " THIS XBOX 360 CONSOLE HAS BEEN TEMPORARILY BANNED FROM EARNING CREDITS"
I have no idea why I was banned, I haven’t done anything wrong, I have a positive K/D, I don’t mod or hack or whatever it is nowadays. I also have 750k Credits as I am saving up for the MJOLNIR MK. VI Helmet and the Shoulders, I’m currently Colonel Grade 3, and im one grade/rank away from being able to unlock and buy the armors. (JUST Wanted to mention that incase Credits may be involved)

So, I’m at 15/16 of the weekly challenges and I was about to round or the lot but after a firefight match I ended up temp banned. I think it’s because I was playing with 2 buddies and we didn’t want a 4th random person joining the firefight, so I made a guest dummy to play those firefight rounds. Incidentally getting the 400 kills. The dummy didn’t do any killing and did a fair bit of dying but again to keep my team of three from getting a stranger joining in. Kinda weak, if I’d have known about the idle rule, I would’ve done something else. . . Oh well
Edit: just posting because the timing could’ve been better. It’s been a while since my last dedication/time. I’ve been playing too long today anyway, I think I’ll go outside.

These games with 20+ deaths and 0 kills are viewed as AFK games and will result in a ban.

If this was your first ban, it will last either 24 or 48 hours - not positive which.
I would like to know why my account was banned last night.
I had my girlfriend create a new account a few weeks ago and had her play halo for the first time. she had no kills for like 4 games and now both mine and hers is banned from earning any credits. i would like to know if you could reverse this or at the very least tell me how long the ban is.I do believe this was an error.

Hi, I was wondering how long my temp ban from earining credits is going to last for? This is my first ban from halo and i will make sure its my last dont like this hard work and no credits.
I’ve got a ban for AFK-ing, which I guess was fair and the reaons will not do anything as I understand from the first page.
How long will this cR-ban last? Will the console ban be over at the same time as the gametag ban?
Ok I have just read some post and I think that I’m finding out that since my wife is just starting only been playing on Matchmaking recently and not getting many kills that the system is thinking that she is afk and bannning our console and accounts from earning credits which we both think really sucks. we think this is totally unfair because we have a family account to and sometimes our children like to play and we playonline to so this means if my kids don’t get kills that we will get banned again for the system thinking we are afk. maybe you should program it to see that they are firing shot and moving around playing and not just standing there. I don’t usally post because i really have never had any problems playing Halo and I have played on all of them this is just not fair in my view because I know when i started I didn’t get alot of kills and sometimes I didn’t get any when I started playing Halo 2.
Now that I have read alot of posts how long is the ban the second time around? One other thing threw some of the post I have read I agree that this is affecting your reputation. After all I have been reading about careing about your fan base and trying to keep the game as appling as it has been with bungie you guys at 343 studios are not working very hard at this. It is very upseting to even think this could and would be the end of the halo as we know it if this is how you guys are going to run this and I’m starting to think I shouldn’t of pre-order Halo 4 because of this which sucks because I have enjoyed this game for the last 10yrs. I hope that you can all fix this problem that it has become and being that I know computers don’t tell me you guys don’t have a team that can change some lines in the code that can solve this problem and be programed to see if someone is really cheating and any other thing they shouldn’t be doing.

I have been banned from playing the campaign mission ONI Swordbase and as I’m trying to do the campaign on legendary currently, I cannot do this mission. I have read how you can get banned and my brother admitted to boosting credits on this map because he wanted to buy a helmet from the armory but didn’t have enough(he saw a video on YouTube of how to do this)

I was playing grifball about 6-8 games or so and i started to spawn trap because we outplayed them until we were at there spawning area so we spawn traped/killed them. why was i banned? and how long will it last? it’s my first time getting banned, from earing credits.
i agree with him/ her why get cR banned it’s stupid, because we get the game to have fun not to be banned! and somebody could have been behind him as he just spawn. so all reasons beated. i sometimes gotta eat dinner or lunch during a game. does it mean i’m not getting kills or just letting them kill my dude no it does not i’m just eating and i don’t wanna quit because if we quit to many times we alos get banned!
I just recently bought Halo 3 and noticed that I am banned for some reason. I haven’t even played the game in like a year, and it doesn’t even tell me why I’m banned. I feel like the ban is unfair being that I’m unaware of it. Please try and help correct this. Thank you.

You can just buy another hard-drive with more GB and transfer everything over. Easy! You don’t need to buy a whole new xbox. More over, its not fair for those ppl who actually buy a hard-drive with like 60 GB while you went from 12 to idk how much more and not pay a dime.
How many times can I quit before getting the probation? I don’t quit in Matchmaking but in single player firefight. I sometime forget to choose the gamemode in the voting booth, and ends up with a mode that I don’t like. What I’m not sure about is that if I can get a probation for quitting in single player firefight.
I really don’t think I should be Credit banned because of what my brother did on his account. He boosted not me. I wish it would just ban his account other than have everyone on my Xbox suffer because of his inability to listen to the rules. And it doesn’t even tell me for how long I am Cr banned…
