On the why part, your brother didn’t get any kills. The banhammer thinks he’s AFKing so he bans whoever is linked like guestwise or partywise. So because your brother didn’t get any kills you got the banhammer.
I just got a “Your console is banned from credits”
I would like to see if I could get help. I contacted xbox live chat and they said I had to come here. After reading here, it seems the problem is commonly AFK which I wasn’t. Nor did I have a signed in account doing nothing. I was just in multiplayer matching making because a cousin (he was at his house on his console) was trying to get the daily challenges but I am not good and the players that was in the match was real good. Was just trying to learn to scope for a good shot but being a disabled veteran, I don’t have steady hands so was being still trying to line up shots. I wasn’t AFK but wasn’t able to get any shots. They other team had two drop out and there was only two to get and the better players on my team was getting the kills. I was just trying to get some kills by standing at the back area so I could try and steady my hand.

Wow, this ban system, of which I thought was a great and effective one, is actually horrible. They state that their ban system is advanced and evaluates the circumstances, previous matches, etc, when it is clear it doesn’t. You think that a game with such a loyal and strong playerbase would atleast go so far as to offer a bit of support to its users. There are many innocent people who have received day, week and month bans, after doing nothing but trying to enjoy a game that they paid you for. And going to Xbox doesn’t help either, just sends you here, to a thread where 100’s of players have the same issue, and there isn’t an Admin or a Mod in sight. This is ridiculous. People can’t even have their friends over and train them without getting banned straight up, because the ban system is a polished turd. I really hope 343i atleast looks into the problem soon, assuming they aren’t already. It has come down to the users, trying to help eachother with their issues. Where are the moderators?
I understand that moderators cannot reply to every given post, but then, you are presented with two options, because there is clearly a very large gap in your customer… erm, “support”. Either hire more staff, or spend more time here. There have been no actual cases made (moderator to user contact) in PAGES AND PAGES.

Well you can still play but you wont earn any of the pointless cR. Allso you need to get kills when you play.

Come on how hard is it to look at some of the answers on why a player is banned? 99% of all the cR bans here are due to the player not getting any kills in a match and the main point of playing matchmaking is to kill the enemy player.
That being said, a genius industry capable of creating mindblowing games, should figure out a way to fix such a minuscule problem.
I was playing with my cousin last night, and we were having difficulty playing because we just got a new ISP. Our games kept cutting out, and i was getting mad. But to top that off, i see that after one of the lost connections, I was banned from earning credits! I can still play but i cant earn credits and that, to me, defeats the purpose of playing online. All i did was play like normal, and BAM! banned. I dont get it…
So I decide to play Halo 3 the other day and I pop the game in and this message comes up that my console has been banned from matchmaking for 2 weeks and another message behind it that says it have been banned for 1 month. Turns out while I was out of town for a couple of days some MORONS in my family decided to get on Halo 3 and do all kinds of dumb crap and now I’m banned. Is there any way to get this reversed or am I stuck for the next month and a half? Trying to finish my last few achievements and it would suck to have to wait that long.
My gamertag is Spart1cus420 (i made it in college and refuse to pay more money for a new name lol)…I just got banned from matchmaking temporarily for betraying a teammate who hadnt touched the controlled in the first 5-7 minutes of the game, causing us to be down by 12. Since for some reason for 3 days straight ive had the “quit 1 more game and u cant play” message, now i cant play because of that garbage…please don’t make me put friggin skyrim back in the xbox again…
The only thing I did wrong was stink at online multiplayer. My console should not be banned just because I am new at online multiplayer and don’t have the hang of it yet. I am trying to learn but if you are going to punish me because I am no good online (at least not yet) then that is just not right. I can’t even earn credits in the game itself because my account AND console are banned.

I am not permanently banned but I promise I am not touching that game as long as I AM banned because it is just ridiculous and if it happens again after that I am just going to sell the darn game. LOL! I think you are correct! No skin off my nose though. I have a plethora of other games I can play so thanks for setting me straight. I’d rather the response you gave me then a runaround asking questions that aren’t going to lead to any help anyway
Yesterday early in the morning while ingame i got the message that my console is temporarily banned from getting credits, so i wanted to ask how long does these last?
Yes i did idle 3 games.
I also received a temporary Credit ban Ironically an hour or two after I recieved the 28343 credits for the weakly challenge and am wondering two things 1. Why was I banned and 2. How long am I banned. Tbh this is outright silly of the banhammer I have a policy of never backing out, never have I AFKed, and never do I credit farm. Yet after I demolished the weekly challenge in a few hours I get banned.
well I did let my GF play and she got like one kill as my guest but that shouldn’t ban me If that was the reason Bungie, 343i, and MS have a problem they need to get fixed soon you do not treat paying customers who play your game and may be bad at it (my GF and many others above) with that kind of policy they need to look at it in many ways and hire people to monitor the banhammer to see if its making the right decision, because clearly 97% of the time its a new player or the guest that gets/causes a ban.

I was banned temporarily from earning credits and i would like to know more information as to why I have been banned. I was having a connection problem with x-box live and corrected this problem after consulting with an x-box support agent.
im really f*cking pissed that my friends (a major grade 2) made over 60,000cr in a single day yet i made 40,000cr (im a colonel grade 3) AND IM CREDIT BANNED FOR A WEEK!!! countless of my friends make HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of credits every day but i made a FRACTION of that and im banned and they have NEVER been banned WTF 343 can someone please tell me what the hell is this BS
