I was playing Halo Reach last night with my daughter, as a guest, and it came up and said my console was banned from earning credits. My gamer tag is T8stLikeChicken. I don’t know why I would get this?? I know we weren’t doing anything wrong. Can you pelase tell me why it would come up and say this?? We were gonna have a mother-daughter Halo night and now I am really afraid to play again! Can you please tell me why this happened? I don’t want to play again until I know what happened.

File Complaint, then choose cheating, then system tampering, it can be done by viewing the profile of the player in question, I’m not sure there’s another way, if there is I expect another community member will post it.

Thanks yea I knew about that one I thought Bungie had a way and i know 343 took over just wondering if they had a way to directly report to them as well, Thanks for responding though
I’ve been Banned for over 2wks now. I am 41yrs old and just started playing Halo for the first time a month ago with my friends. We play Team Swat most of the time. I am not very good at all (as you can see by my service record). It took me 2wks just to get one kill!! I still have games will zero kills most of the time, but some games I can get 2 or 3 sometimes (like on Sword Base with magnums) I can get up to 9! Occasionally i might accidently betray a teammate or wander off a cliff or bridge to my death. I have a disabilty that limits usage of my left hand. I’m doing the best I can. My friends have been very patient and understanding while I’m learning. Although sometimes I get put on a team with other people (not in my party) and my “fellow teammates” get very hateful becuz they dont know me and dont know I’m doing the best I can to kill my friends on the other team. I dont quit games. I dont stand around. (although sometimes I may look lost and blind while trying to figure out where that shooting is coming from). I am not boosting or AFKing. I am not trying to get my team to lose. I do not mean to betray.
I understand that the Banhammer is automated, but there has got to be a way to make it see that I am new and trying. sure my K/D is (-5000) or so but come on! I’m new at this!!! I dont like being treated like a 5yr old that snuck onto daddy’s xbox.
Is there ANY way possible to get this ban lifted or find out how much longer its going to last???
Now that I am finally able to get some kills, I’d like to be able to start leveling up!!

Me and my friends have been playing a lot of griffball lately due to the large amount of cR you get when you win and we were both really close to Inheritor. Neither of us ever boosted with anyone, we just played the game out until the end. For the past 2 days I have been able to recieve cR, but it does not add to my total cR or my EXP. Does this mean I was cR banned for earning too much in the past 2 days? If so, how long will last?
i got perm from halo 3 because i kept lagging out my connection is not being the best today so it keeps lagging me out of games so i guess it gave the right for people to file complaints on me for “cheating” i dont cheat my account is bad and i like it that way because it doesnt give me any pressure to do good or try my heart out im just here to have fun.
Hi there i was wondering on if anyone could tell be what i did wrong to get banned from earnin credits. If i did something wrong i would like to no so i watch myself and dont do it again but im not sure. Is it cause me and my sister play on the same console? Cause shes banned as well. We just wanna no what has happened so we can fix this for next time.

My console has received a credit ban.
Last night I decided to try and teach my girlfriend to play Reach online.
She was playing as a guest and did earn some kills in grifball and team SWAT, however we moved to a few big team battles where she earned no kills.
I’d like to ask for my ban to be reversed and I’d also like to question the legitimacy of banning credit earning due to bad players.
She was not AFK. She participated in all games and tried to earn kills, and as stated, in some she did. Why is she being punished for this, and why do I have to suffer as well?
If there is (as stated on the front page) an automated service building actual claims against people to auto ban them, then how on earth is it justifying this when there was obvious activity?
I’m supportive of banning disruptive players and cheats, but as for plain bad players, this is an unfit punishment. I would have at least liked a message alerting me to the problem. I was just impressed that my girlfriend wanted to play at all.
i dnt know why i was banned i play for fun and i dont cheat. i dont understand why this happened. the only reason i can think of why this happened is that i lat my 4 year old cousin play along side me sometimes. but even then i dont try and boost. i just play to play i dont care about my k-d or win loss record.
i disagree i was banned last night for having my little cousin (which is 4 years old) play with me as a guest. he isnt good nor is his a cheater. all he does is like to run around and jump around. but because im not a mean person and let him haeve fun i got banned.

or any other type of unsociable and unsportsmanlike behavior.
Maybe he betrayed loads of people, or jumped off a cliff doing -20 deranking his team.
And, if he did 0 kills for more consecutive games, he got banned also for this.
I never post in forums for anything but this is just too frustrating to let slip. I got home just now to jump on Halo cause im about to rank up, only to recieve that stupid message that i have been banned. I was playing with several other people last night and they are all able to play and recieve credits. i really think that this credit banning system is a load of crap. I have read every post in this thread and it seems that others are just as frustrated as I am. I run into people all the time that I have to avoid as players because they are doing things in the game that u should be banned for. I am seriously reconidering taking my pre order of Halo 4 over this crap. I dont want to support a company that can’t seperate the a…holes from the people that actually enjoy playing the game and play it according to the rules. I have a pretty loud voice when it comes to these things since all of my friends are gamers and they also feel the same about my situation…i really could make a big stink about this and pretty much boycott anything having to do with 343 and its affiliates not to mention the media attention i could bring to it.

Going over your game history, you had a few consecutive games where you had no kills or medals. Which, to the ban system, counts as being AFK (being away from your console, but in-game so you’re still receiving credits - which is cheating), hence the ban.
If it’s your first offence, it will only be for 24 hours.
I got banned last night after sticking an opponent who ran into another player. That was after playing 6 games to completion in a row. Now today I log on and it tells me if i leave anymore games, i will get banned. That is completely unfair. If i accidentally kill a teammate and get booted, i will be gone for another 15 minutes and I dont know why.
My track record is good.

That’s the quit ban, not the credit ban. If you get booted, lag out, or actually quit several matches in a span of time, you’ll receive a short quit ban that doesn’t allow you to play matchmaking.
My brother boost and he got the stupid console Credit banned again for boosting and now I can’t advance to Field Marshall
Usually they last for about two weeks, but you said this was the second time it happened…I honestly don’t know if there is an increase or not, they should have given you a time in your ban message.
So i got banned last night around 12:00am est time and woke up this morning and i was still banned and i think i just reached credit cap and i shouldnt be banned because im legit 2 credits away from mythic thats -Yoinking!- -Yoink- how you ban me RIGHT before i rank up and i think it should be taken off because i wasnt boosting or anything so if you wouldnt mind please do something about this.
