> It first says that my console is banned for two weeks from earning credits, then another pops up saying account, mine is the only account and I am the only person who plays on my console or at all for that matter.
Did it just pop up today? Normally 0 kill games from the same day are what get you banned, but I suppose it’s possible to have the games from a couple days back to get you. If you just got the message today I can’t figure it out…Sorry
Can you tell me why my xbox360 account and console was temporarily banned from earning credits? A player last week (T26 BoMbeR) sent a threatening voice message. He accused us of cheating (bad connection that game) and said he was going to hack our account in 24 hours. The voice message is still saved if you have access to that. So I was wondering if he had anything to do with the temporary ban. But, I noticed in game history that my sister was playing yesterday for a number of games with the guest account on but idle (this is because we have a 4:3 tv, and when there are 2 players it makes it wide screen - I wish there was a setting for one player widescreen on a 4:3 tv) - normally I’m there to play, but yesterday I wasn’t and she wanted to play. Is the ban for guest afk? I would say it’s a legit ban in multiplayer matchmaking games. But in firefight games, arcade fight with only 2 players on a console for the match, it doesn’t feel like that should be a warranted ban if the guest can’t earn credit. It’s only a detriment to the player that can earn credit in a 2 man game of firefight with an inactive guest on the same console. But I’m probably wrong in someone else’s eyes. Thanks for your time.
How Long Does A Credit Ban Last For Because I Got A Message Saying
‘This Account And Console Has Been Temporarily Banned From Earning Credits’
So I Was Wondering How Long Its Last For And Do You Get Reset At All?
> Well Its The First Time This Has Come Up On My Xbox And Does It Involve A Reset Like Back To Recruit?
24-48 hours then.
Resets no longer occur on Halo: Reach, they were done manually by Bungie in the first few months of Reach’s release, after that, they stopped and 343i hasn’t continued the trend.
It’s because you probably quit too many games a month or so ago it happened to me but it’ll go away if you don’t quit a single game for a few more weeks to 1 month.
If everyone in the match quits at the same time, it means you are lagging out.
If they all quit at different times, it means they are lagging out/quitting.
I’m so tired of being insta-booted when I hit a teammate with a long range rocket, yet I can be betrayed 8 times, EIGHT TIMES, and not be promoted once to boot him. You’ve got a lot of work to do before I ever buy another Halo game. Either prompt every time, or not at all, because what you’ve got now is garbage. P.s. Keep you’re “it’s all Bungie’s software” excuse that you guys like to use, to yourself. It’s your game now, you fix it!

Getting booted isn’t a ban, so your not even posting in the right thread. Add another “got booted” thread to the 100 already existing.

If you know your sister was playing with an idle guest controller. Then that is the reason for the ban. It does suck since in FF Doubles nobody elses game is being ruined. However there is FF score attack that is 1 player. That’ll avoid a ban, first time normally lasts 24-48 hrs.

Sometimes people get credit banned some reason im not sure why it can last anywhere from a few days up to as long as a month or two
> Can anybody tell me why I got my current two week ban no evident reason no afking nor boosting I just played firefight and multiplayer to get daily challenges done. Then today I was told about the ban. So I cant really figure it out. Thanks in advance.
I could be because of people reporting you just because they think your boosting or modding or something like that. Thats what happened to my old account and it wasn’t very fun because Halo 3 and reach were the only games that i would play.

Your in the wrong thread this is a “Why am I banned” thread not a “Im so annoyed by getting insta-booted” thread.
P.S. relax it a game stuff like this is going to happen. No gaming company can make a game 100% perfect. They just learn from the glitches and make it better.

A credit ban can last from as short as a few weeks to as long as few months I’ve heard
Huh, I am sorry, but this ban was ridiculous. Normally, I do fine on kills on Reach, however lately my fiance and her kids come over and I let her son play on my account. Being only 7 and never having played a shooting game before, he just isn’t currently very good. Well, as a present, my fiance bought me a second controller so I could play with him (also because he was destroying my kill death spread in multiplayer, so I needed to stop him from hurting me) and her 10 year old daughter, who normally does not play video games, actually took an interest and decided to play with him for a while. Well, needless to say, she was very bad, but was actually having a lot of fun in multiplayer, so in probably 3 or 4 games, I am betting she didn’t get any kills. She was moving around and trying, but hey, she was trying to learn and have fun with her brother. It would be NICE before a ban occurs, that a player is informed that their may be a credit ban if the player or their guests are not getting any kills, something I can’t seem to find in the game documentation or anywhere other than an internet forum (perhaps I just don’t know where to look), otherwise I would have not let them play under my account. But seriously, a credit ban because two little kids are playing the game and trying to learn? The sad part is, she got so excited about the game that she was asking me and her mom to buy them their own Xbox 360, Halo Reach game, and controllers, this from a little kid who didn’t care much for video games in the first place, especially when playing them with her brother! It would be APPRECIATED for the next game if 343 at LEAST put some documentation (unless I just didn’t find it, which is possible) in the game that informs the players that multiplayer games can lead to a credit ban if no kills are performed, this would help casual gamers with kids who are interested and want to learn be more cautious about letting them utilize their account or XBOX 360 in general in multiplayer UNTIL they are able to contribute. I don’t think that is an unreasonable request. Yes, Reach is also my first Halo and first person shooting game that I have actually taken an interest in, and although I do get annoyed when players don’t contribute, I disagree that a ban should occur if they are ACTUALLY trying!
I understand the rules for halo but it should be on people who do it for big points. I got a point and console ban because I let my 5 year old niece play by herself. I don’t think she did well. I showed her how to get into firefight so she could have fun by herself and not affect anybody else. Oh well 24 hours of doing something else like going out side and playing.
I searched and couldn’t find a faq or anything on Credit Bans, so please forgive me for asking this.
I just fired up Reach and lo and behold I got a message that my console has a credit ban. I have no idea why or for how long. My son and his friend were playing for a few hours last night and perhaps a bit this morning. I think in the Forge and firefight maybe? Is there a way for me to:
