If you’re new, then don’t worry about it, you undoubtedly saw a YouTube video or something like that on how to earn “Effortless Credits!” and thought it was okay. And that’s fine, it’s a common misinterpretation. Just don’t do it again!
ONI Target Locator ‘exploit’ isn’t bannable, it never has been, as long as your there and everyone in the game is playing, it’s fine, just like Full-Party Boosting.

They won’t unban you just because you sold the console. And tell your friend not to worry because his ban will eventually go away.

I suspect the whole thing is a lie anyways. It’s doubtful he sold it to his friend. Kids say that kind of stuff all the time thinking they can trick them into unbanning their console. A simple IP check can verify if that console is regularly signing in to a new location.

You will not banned for getting 0 kills. The game can tell the difference between moving around and not getting kills and AFKing…
i put in halo reach yesterday & i got a message that said my profile & my console is banned temporarily from earning credits, i put in reach today & got the same message, why am i banned, banned for how long, & how does this get fixed? i dont cheat, boost, or whatever u call it, i paid my hard earned money on this game, & my membership to not enjoy my xbl experience.

how was my guest afk? they were playing with me, not standing around, how is this getting me banned when they were playing with me? if my gold membership allows me a guest & they want to play with me, this can get me banned? also how long is this ban?
i even clicked on that “your guest was afk” link & you can even see for yourself that my guest was playing not afk, 2 kills & 9 deaths, how is that afk? how long is this ban?
my console is not modded at all, i just received it back from MS from being fixed, unless MS modded it for me… Mine says it’s a temp ban for halo reach and have no idea why or when it will even be lifted. can someone PLEASE shed some light? My kids are going limited.

I looked through many of your games on 9/9 and 9/10, you were AFK many games, then you signed in a guest and they went AFK numerous games, or you did in the same games. Before you use the dispute, they’re bad, I’m bad, my wife is bad, my dog is bad, my vacum cleaner is bad; it is easily detectable using game viewers and heat maps to see in those games you or your guest were dying in spawn points, therefore not moving and AFK.
I would like to add, the game and banhammer DOES NOT determine bans based on number of kills, around page 15 or 16 I explain from personal experience I know for a fact. My daughter played a lot of games last weekend with in, in about 8 of the 15 objective games we played, that is what she likes, she had zero kills, but was going for the objective, did damage to other players, DID NOT DIE IN SPAWN POINTS, etc. If the banhammer simply based it off of kills as many here want to use as the excuse, then we would of been banned numerous times over.
As for the length of you ban, it depends on how many times you have been banned, typically first offense is 24 hours, second is 48, and next is two weeks. At least that was the old way of doing things, when the sweep went through in May though they may have upped all AFK penalities to two weeks.

Well, using the gamertag above I doubt you were banned, so let’s start with what other gamertags have been used on your console? One of your friend’s or your alternate accounts has caused this ban, and the only way to get an answer is to post the GT in question.
So I am still banned, I have posted on here and other halo forums. I don’t know what we did but its been 3 weeks now and I have no idea whats going on. i was told to pm this guy and that guy and call someone else and email but still havent got even 1 message back from anyone. This really blows.
Here’s my situation, over 2,000 games played in about a year, and I’ve quit like 3 times ever.
Two of those three quits came in just the last week and absolutely should count against me. The problem is that in the last two weeks, my ISP hasn’t been very good, and I’ve lagged out of a few matches where it looks like everyone else quit the game, and I won all by myself.
Normally I wouldn’t scoff at a free win… But I started getting the warning note about quitting too many games, and I wasn’t sure if this was due to the couple of games I did quit, or was it because my Real quits were being combined with my ‘lag quits’.
I don’t advocate quitting. In fact, I more quit out to give my buddy a hard time about quitting and go onto the next game. So if I deserve a quit ban, I’ll take it. But with all my ISP troubles as of late, I thought I should say something in case it can be looked into.
I got credit banned I believe for no kills in a few FF Matchmaking games. I had no idea that boosting in FF and Campaign was something to be banned over. I’ve never boosted MM and I’m a bit upset because there are no warnings or anything. Also I do not recieve any messages telling me how long I will be banned for. Is there a way to find out?
