I was playing score attack alone just jumpin on the grunts not getting kills and then at the end it told me that I was temporarily banned from earning credits how long will this last? I was getting some good credits before this. what ld I do?

A first offense is NORMALLY 24-48 hours. There is no set time limit. Due to your infraction, and the ammount of games it may be longer. You may have also been banned before for 24 hours but didn’t go on the Reach for that time, and never realized it.
Just earlier today I was loading up a Big Team Battle when it seemed like there were some network issues and some people quit, and then it notified me that both my Xbox and Live account were temporarily banned from earning credits. I have not done anything that would make this happen and if anyone knows why or could help please reply.
Ugh, I just read the above things about being banned from being AFK, and I think that’s what happened to me. Me and my brother were playing, but then he had to go to the bathroom (as in GO to the bathroom, so for like two games he was AFK because I didn’t (and still don’t) know how to disconnect the guest account. So then half an hour later I was in the middle of a BTB and got banned temporarily from earning credits.

Yeah the same things happening to me but i didnt get banned i’m not getting any credits and i didnt do anything i just play grif ball and get like 2,000 to 7,000 credits cause i’m pretty good at it also I make custom challenges on hear so maybe thats the problem because i do them in like 2 hours so i get like 10,000 to 30,000 credits but custom challenges are legal so can anyone help me.
ok, so me and my freind were playing on his halo reach last night at his house, drew forgot to turn off the xbox but he did leave the lobby. in the morning it was off, but twhen we played halo reach it worked fine. when i got home i bought halo reach, got on and said i was banned from earning credits. why would you do this to me. we were off the xbox not in a game, i got on when i got home and i was banned from earning credits. is it possible to unban me or see why i was banned. also we were playing griffball, and my freind kept -Yoinking!- teamkilling so if that was the case ban him not me. please respond and help!

This is bull bro i’m not earning credits and i didn’t do anything i’m doing custom challenges so tell me if thats wrong all i do is play grif ball and snipers i earn like 2,000 to 7,000 credits a game on grif ball and 2,000 on snipers so how is that wrong yesterday I played with my brother on Reach spilt screen and i was AFK for 2 or 3 games cause my mom made me do something and I told my brother he can keep playing and that ill be back i’m really good at grif ball I earn an average of 30 to 60 kills a game and 70 to 90 on a really good game i only go for kills and not bomb plants so how is that wrong i just want to keep ranking up please i’m almost a general 2 more ranks can anyone help me.How long do i have to wait before i can rank up again and earn credits.Reply back please

I had a friend who was the game leader and he got unbanned after 24 hours and he played the same ammount of games that i did, and he even got more medals, and he got unbanned really fast. And im sure iv never been banned before, Because reach is really all i play.
I am wondering why i got banned. I think it is for boosting for achievements. which nowhere does it say that is wrong. And i would like my ban removed. And if not how long is my ban? Gamertag:HMRbros911

Thats from the banhammer rules. Boosting of any kind is against the rules.
And you actually got banned for guest accounts being AFK. You can full party “boost” achievements as long as all players in the party are actually playing

If there isn’t a ban message showing up, then you didn’t get banned. You simply hit the credit cap. it’s at 200,000.

If you did the same thing as him, and both got banned, and yours lasted over 48 hours, then you were probably been banned before. Even still, your ban won’t be lifted, and nobody can tell you why you haven’t been unbanned yet. This thread is simply to find out WHY and gove a rough estimate of how long.
