reach’s ban system for quitting is screwy…
I had never been banned fr/Reach or H3 for that matter but I was getting A TON of Elite slayer games in muti-team and wanted to play Hog Race, so I quit 1, 2 and then turned off my XBOX when I didn’t get the map I wanted the 3rd time…
When I got on Reach the next day, it said I was temporarily banned for quitting too many times…this is a joke of course so I put in H3 and could not be bothered…

Well you quit three times, nothing wrong with the quit ban system at all.
Yesterday I received a message while playing Halo Reach, near the end of one of our games, that my account is banned from earning anymore credits??
Today a message states that my consol is temporarilly banned, thus, my account is temporailly banned. How long is this ban for, and why?
i was banned from earning credits, im pretty sure for being afk. Is the ban permanent or will i be able to again in time?

The account in question was banned due to AFKing activity in this game: TU FFA Slayer DMR’s on Penance
First time bans tend to last 24-48 hours.
Any longer than that then expect a 1-2 week wait.

your Firefight partner ResultantFan5 is what got your console banned for AFK activity. If your message just says “this console has been banned” then 9/10 times it’s a ban on another account on the console. When on the same console, brother/sister/friend is playing and “has to do something” either sign them out, or stop playing and wait for them to be done.
If it’s a first offense it’ll be over in 24-48 hrs.
OK so i was playing rumble pit and i had 3 guests and they did not get kills. the next game i got a notification that i was temporarily banned from earning credits. its been 3 days and i am still banned this is my first offense and i don’t know how long i am banned for. also i heard that if you go into matchmaking when you are still credit banned then it extends your banned period, is this true or was that a lie?
Normally the bns last for 24-48 hrs. Rare cases have been 1 -2 weeks for a first offense.
Playing during a ban does not extend it, unless of course your still doing the same things. So you may have got banned for AFK activity and before he 24 hrs was up you went back on and did the same thing and got banned again for it. That’ll definitely extend it past the 24 hour mark.
Hey lately I’ve been getting temporary bans from matchmaking because it says I quit. What happens is one or more people get disconnected for whatever reason and the system ends the match automatically but I still get a temp ban even though I was forced to end the game…also I wondered if these temp bans keep piling up, could I get permanently banned?

You are actually lagging out but it is showing it as everyone else quitting from the game, only happens mainly with extreme lag.
You won’t get permanently banned if the temporary quit bans keep happening, don’t worry.

I was playing Matchmaking with my cousin when we started playing around killing eachother. He booted me for lauphing messure when an Information notice appeared and stated, “This account has been temporarily banned from earning Creddits.”, and I was wondering how long it takes or what it takes to get the banned lifted from my account. As of right now it has been about 16 hours. Please let me know if you have any information.
ok so i dnt get this i ws playing with the tags DRG Reaper which is myself… DRG BLood Reaper which is an account i made for my wife, DRG Seeker which is a friend of mine and then my guest which would have been DRG Reaper1… so i get banned from earning credits while playing team swat and other mutli games… im upset yes but if u can help me figure out why i was banned to help me understand. then maybe i can get less mad cause atm i want to burn my xbox and LOL till i go insane… this is appanrtly a 3rd offence the 1st 2 times i was playing rumble pit with guests on my account… there is no way 343 can see people playing on my account so yeah my lil bro and sis sucks at playing halo so what not every body can be elite… these rules of banning people cause 343 is trying to conttrol this world will be very sad cause a lot of people will start to quite and not deal with it…

You got banned for having to many games with 0 kills. First time bans last from 24-48 hrs.

It seems both you and your guest account had too many games with 0 kills. 3rd offense…2 weeks.
Just so you know 343 isn’t trying to control anyone. These rules are in place because there are too many dishonest people in the Halo gaming world. Who sit around and gain credits for not playing. Or have 2 guest controlers logged in on FFA and stat padding. If people who go AFK quit playing because they got banned then the game would be that much better. There are always going to be innocent bans. But 9.8/10 times it’s legit. Even with your games with 0 kills. I don’t see how someone can go +12 in a swat game, then 2 games later get 0 kills. it seems a bit suspicious.
I received an information screen stating I was temporarily banned when I attempted to play Halo Reach this morning. Please tell me why so thaT i may be able to avoid the issue that caused this banning. Thanks.

Unfortunately, it seems you may have been a victim of the “new to/bad at Reach ban”. Where due to just getting the game, or not being very “skilled” at the game made the system pop you for AFK activity. This of course is just my opinion that you were actually playing since your k/d is consistantly the same, and you actually play in Firefight. The first ban lasts from 24-48 hours. Sadly it won’t be reversed and you’ll have to wait it out.
For future, try playing some firefight games first to get yourself accustomed to the game before you enter matchmaking. Like everytime you play Reach play firefight first. Aside from that there really is no solution to the issue, besides of course getting better. Or you could play in the action sack playlist, as far as I know those are exempt from the bans.
Ok, so as you will see, my gamertag DieselTorqued is followed by a quote saying “noob in every respect”. I want to find out why I was “temporarily banned from receiving credits” and am not sure how to locate the incidents or to find out how long is “temporary”?
My boys and I have played Reach MM a lot under my gamertag and now they are playing under their own. I would like to “redeem” my profile as I always try to play fairly and not be a tool…I’m 40 after all…“I’M INNOCENT MAN!!!”
Would appreciate help understanding what happen so I can figure out which of my boys was being Tool Jr.

Last Friday night my son “OXDOG 00” and a friend of his where playing when a ban message showed up, both for the account and the console.
We can’t see any obvious reason except for betrayals that occurred when firing back at someone throwing grenades at his friend. Whe had a lot of issues with the network as we were playing away from home. A ban for both the console and account for allmost a week now, seems a bit harsh for betrayals.
Is there a way to figure out why he was banned, and can it be lifted.

Ps. Read something about “changing locale” rendering in a ban, does this mean moving the xbox to a new place read IP adress?
If yes, that might be the issue as the console has been moved back and forth a lot during the last month.
