I believe its 2 weeks. Thats to say if its the same as back in Halo 3. See, along time ago in a game far far away(halo 3), me and some friends had this great idea to get some of the more difficult achievements. This involved me and 2 guests.
So i just turned on 2 controllers to fill up the rest of the playlist(playlist was full of friends in party) . Well as you can imagine, the ban hammer came down hard on me after a couple of games went by. I was banned from earning exp for 2 weeks. Yes we got some of the achievments but i was not going to keep doing it and have my bann turn perm.
so basicly since my non exsintant guests were afk the whole time obviously i got banned 
Now i was playing team slayer with my grandfather that is 62 and doesnt quite have the reflexes as you i might (if you wanna test those out) whose a first time xbox player and i was temporaraly banned from getting credits while he was providing kills for hundres of others. like i said he isnt the best but what if i wanted to go on and rank up all night and was that close to getting a million credits just saying yall needa fix that please its pretty annoying because i dont wanna play with all those ban notifications and you see hes got alzhiemers however you spell it idk… and well he doesnt understand why he cant play anymore and i like playing with him bc he gets really into it and dresses up in camo and puts on his armor from vietnam ( i think that agent orange is kicking in). I know there are alot of comments about this so if anyone can fix this thanks because now i have to play go fish with him its soo boring compared to halo.

You got banned for your guest account getting 0 kills. The banning system sees this as AFK not a 60 year old man trying his hardest. As stated before in other posts, it won’t be fixed, 343 has more important things to worry about (Halo 4). It is unfortunate, but also unavoidable to do anything about this. For future to avoid the banhammer, try playing Firefight doubles. It’s impossible for an actual person playing to get 0 kills in FF. That way you will still get credits, he’ll still be able to play, and nobody gets banned. Aside from that your only other option is to risk getting banned.
thanks i understand this and its not really impossible bc we tried that he didnt like it of course because he only got one kill and thats because i picked up the controller and showed him how to do it, and i find it insulting that 343 isnt regarding the fact that the game is not fair when it comes to new people. all i can say is 343 better fixes this in the next computer inforcement system so it doesnt suck like this one. thank you lots you just told me exactly what everyone else was saying so now ive heard it the seventh time maybe itll kick in. i wish the people who watch and keep up reach would put something on waypoint that you could activate to get the credits i should have gotten.

Go blame Bungie for the fault, they didn’t implement a way to track it other than zero kill games.

My son has been temporarily banned from earning credits on Halo Reach. It does not say for how long. He is very upset. Who do I talk to to get this ban lifted? Please help

I got banned for being AFK in firefight this is my first credit ban. I just wanted to know how long i’m going to be banned for?
My being banned from getting credits is from people having to do things and hqving to back out or just not play that what it was for me i could not turn off my 360 and i did not back out i was kicked for not being in the game

First bans normally last 24-48 hrs. In rare cases the bans have lasted up to a week. But I’d suspect it’ll be a 24 hr credit ban.

I’m confused on if you had a question? Halo doesn’t kick people from games for being idle. You’ll go into the lobby and the game automatically puts you in a new game. If you have things to do (clean room, run errands, etc) back out. AFK will get you banned, the more it happens the longer the bans are. Why is it you couldn’t turn off the xbox? or quit out of the game to go do whatever? That seems like a simple solution to your issue.
Anytime I or my brother logs into either of our Gamertags, SageEel3, or OmegaIsMySystem, we get a message saying that we’re gonna get a temp ban if we keep quitting, but we never quit. Why is this happening?
The other day I was playing, and we actually did get the temp ban even though we hadn’t quit anything. Now I have the temp ban again for quitting a match before it started to join a friend. This is like, 1 out of a handful of times that anyone has quit a match on the account OmegaIsMySystem in the past like, 2 weeks. I don’t really ever quit, and this is the 2nd temp ban I get for it.

Lagging out, turning your console off mid-game or logging out mid-game can cause the message to pop-up.
It isn’t popping up on mistake.
I don’t lag out, and rarely do the other 2 apply to me. This is a message that pops up every single time I open the game.

The other accounts can quit games, lag out and the other examples I used earlier and force the other accounts to be on probation I believe.

Chances are you have more than 2 Gamer Tags on that console. Ask him if he logs on if it says “this account has been temp banned from earning credits” AND “this console has been banned…”. If it is both I don’t know why he got banned, if it’s just the console, then another account on the console got banned and he is feeling the effects of it.

You had a couple games of Griffball games with 0 kills, and also a swat game with 0 kills. So you got banned for AFK type activity. It should last anywhere from 24-48 hours. Unless you have been banned before then it’ll be longer.
