I got the temporary ban for quitting 3 games. Now it’s lasted a couple days and I haven’t quit a game so I can keep playing. My problem is: today I was playing with a friend as a guest in team snipers, and he was scoped and sniped our teammate in the head when he walked in front of him as he was shooting the opposite team. It was the first betrayal of the day and our teammate booted us, then we got the temporary ban from matchmaking. Hope my homeboys at Bungie can give me the hookup so this doesn’t happen again. I just got wrongfully banned for a week. Me and my friend were playing doubles and i just made my account yesterday because we planned on playing this weekend. Both of our accounts and xbox console is banned and we don’t know why.

We have an idea why we got banned. We played halo3 doubles and we’re matched up with the same two players multiple times and they were boosters quiting; even though we avoided them and filed complaints we continued to get matched up with them.
We think we got banned because the system thought we were boosting with the two players purposefully. their tags are ispiltBONGwater and ILAST50ACCOUNT and each of them have over -2000exp
Ok, this is my first post ever on this forum and I just want to know why I am earning credits for every game but they are not getting added to my rank progression I got at least 20-30 grand worth of credits today that never got added to the progress bar and i have never done anything wrong to get banned and never got a in game message saying i got banned what gives 343?

Your console is banned from playing Halo in matchmaking or banned from Xbox LIVE?
I got file share banned but i don’t actually know why
Just so we do not get off on the wrong foot, I support bans. But I think that it shouldn’t be as bad for people who boost Matchmaking commendations. I mean, look at the One Shot commendation. That’s 20K headshots folks. Or the Heavy Weapon, that comes to about 8K, right? My point is that some people, like myself, just wanna get the commendations maxed out. Regardless of if I were to boost or not, it would take forever. I love the game and all, but at some point in time, I’m gonna get burned out on it.
Last night, I got a message saying I was banned from earning credits. The only thing recently that changed is my wife made an account, Perfectly Pink, and wanted to play Halo with me. This obviously was her first attempt at a shooter game, but she was having fun nonetheless. I really hope I wasn’t banned for letting my wife play Halo, anyone can check our games and see they are legit. I would like to know what caused the ban so I can avoid it in the future, if it was because my wife was averaging 1 kill, I’m not sure how to avoid that besides practice.

I have been banned for 2 weeks or more me and my wife think we were wrongfully accussed we play everyday even though we are banned thinking maybe it will be fixed but now it kinda stinks that we spent all the money on it and we can earn credits can someone please help us with this problem our xbox says its temporarily not earning credits and I honestly dont know why or what happened.We may not be the best of players but we are getting better and anyone can check our records we are always on,never afk,and we follow rules.I dont want to cause any problems or sound like a crybaby but…boo-whoo. We just wanna play and earn credits like everyone else ty for listening.
Hm, I can’t see any AFK’ing on your profile. If it’s just a temporary credit ban, then it will stop soon though. Wait a minute, I see a lot of Killionaires on ONI. Let me guess, Target Locator? For future reference, that is considered “Boosting”. It will usually last about a week, and after that you are good to earn cR again. Just don’t use the Target Locator for that, that’s not what it’s for. I can tell by your rank (not an insult, just an observation), that you’re fairly new to the game, or have been reset. If you’re new, then don’t worry about it, you undoubtedly saw a YouTube video or something like that on how to earn “Effortless Credits!” and thought it was okay. And that’s fine, it’s a common misinterpretation. Just don’t do it again!

Thank you for Telling me, as far as afking during firefight i drop from the game before the match even starts if you look in my stats it even shows 2 min lag between most of the games where i Have +0 spreads. As far as challenge reseting i have no idea what it is or how to do it. So i know not to do it again what is challenge reseting?

With all the respect i don’t think that ONI glitch is bannable.
My gamertag is Rattlesnake6986 I understand my account was banned but why is my consule banned for too i was going to see if you guys would atleast unbanned my consule because i sold it to my buddy and he cant get credits either because its banned you leave my account banned i dont care just unbanned my consule that i sold please?

If I let my girlfriends son who is 8 and not that great play on a guest, we risk a ban as he is more than likely going to get 0 kills numerous matches in a row, same for if my GF plays and isn’t too crash hot at FPS.
If there is one thing I’ve learned, it’s kids lie about why they got banned. I’d almost guarantee that people don’t get banned for “just having fun”. If you’re just having fun, then you can do that in the safety of custom games. “Just having fun” with AFK players in Matchmaking… that’s blatant and obvious boosting… and they’re just trying to cover up that fact by claiming they’re “just having fun” with friends.
As for being paranoid about your girlfriend or her son playing… I’ve witnessed many players doing nothing but rubber banding their joystick to avoid the ban… or getting a few kills then going inactive, so I’d be surprised if either your girlfriend or her son couldn’t even register damage on another player to avoid the ban. If you’re that concerned, you can always open up a custom game of firefight with her or her son and play. It’s better to be safe than sorry… and less of a headache for you.

It’s very possible that the DNF was the result of them being autokicked from the game due to inactivity. I’ve seen it happen often.
