hi there i was playing firefight and went to make my dinner and came back to the lounge and found my self banned from earning credits i was not doing anything wrong in anyway and this is completly uncalled for i was playing on my own so there would not of been any complaints to me and cant see why or how this has banned me and also this is the only way i can get help on this cant speak to anyone is really bad of a company i want this sorted asap as i have paid for xboxlive and bought the limted edition of halo reach i mainly play halo and now there is not much point in me playing you should have a much better way of us being able to contact you cause a forum is not a way of contact if something gos wrong this is stupid

Well since it has been over the 1-2 day period, it can be anywhere from a week to 2 weeks, obviously this isn’t your first ban. If your still banned on Tuesday, it’s a two week ban.

You were banned for having an idle guest in Firefight Double team. AFK guests are against the rules in ANY playlist. There is a playlist called score attack that is just 1 person. No bans get initiated unless you just stand there idle.
343i did not initiate this ban system, and therefor aren’t required to make themselves available to speak to about the bans. They inherited the system from Bungie. Who as far as I know never listened to complaints about the bans. You got banned for having an AFK guest. You don’t have a leg to stand on.
If it’s a first time ban, it’ll be over in 24 hours, and you now know for next time to not have an idle guest.
Can someone look into my game history (CtrlXaltSlayer) and explain why I got banned?
This was my case:
I admit I was AFKing in firefight to get the weekly challenge. I didn’t get banned at all during this time period. 30 minutes later I was actually playing firefight without AFKing and in the middle of the match and at the end I recieved THREE messages saying I was temporarily banned from earning credits.
Q1. How long is my ban?
Q2. If it was due to AFKing then I will take it but was the banhammer late? It banned my the game AFTER I was AFK. I’m confused please help

Not trying to sound like a jerk but you pretty much answered your own question, afk/afc in firefight. I’m seeing at least 5 games of arcadefight on 6/17/12 with 0 kills. That will trip the banhammer for sure:-(
length of ban: anywhere from 24hrs to 2 weeks.

You should have
one for the console
one for the offending player
the 3rd I’m not sure unless someone else was playing on your console thru those same games.

Your rank shouldn’t be reset. And there aren’t 3 offenses, just 3 warnings, or 3 alerts…Basically it’s telling you the console is banned, and the account that had the offense.

You had too many games with 0 kills on june 15th. I’d link to the games, but there is really no need since you should be playing battlefield 3 right? How is having 4-7 out of like 12 games with 0 kills pro exactly?? If thats the case I should be MLG right now.
I had got a ban after a couple months after the game came out the rank cap was still set and I did the challenge glitch 
I had to restart from recuit to general now. i have been ban for quit twice mainly due several parties at my apartment. I was wondering if you quit like 20 games in a month lets say would it be a restart or what? I haven’t been on halo for a couple of months so disreguard my game history I consider my self a decent player

As far as I know, and have ever seen, no amount of quit bans will get you a reset, or even a permanant ban for that matter. Quit bans are only 10 mins long, and then you get the warning for I believe 48 hours (thats how long mine was) and then it goes away as long as you don’t quit any games.

I think being banned for AFK too many times can get the rank reset, but it has to be A LOT of bans. There was a user that had been AFK banned over 10 times and it hasn’t reset their rank. I never understood the point of being idle like that, it doesn’t seem any fun. But I wouldn’t press my luck with that honestly.
I wasn’t idling on purpose just went to do something and and joined a match. I even have fallen asleep and left idle

If it was a second-hand XBox it may have a permanent ban against it and you’ll never be able to connect. In that case you’ll need to speak to the vendor.
I have only been unbanned for a week since my last 7-day ban and then half-way through a game it said “My account had been temporarily banned from earning credits.” I would like to know why I was banned it would really help so I could prevent myself from doing so in the future.
