Just wondering why I got banned? Only thing I can think is getting zero kills, thing is I was playing, I just haven’t had a lot of practice so I had one or two zero kill games today, but there was nothing against the rules going on, if number of kills is a metric it’s a little inaccurate because I was absolutely playing the game!

Suspected reason for Temp Credit ban: Guest Boosting
What was actually happening: Some friends and I plugged in some controllers to try and get some of the last Halo: Reach achievements that have been calculated to have Horrendous odds of getting the game-type/map let alone successfully doing what the achievement required. After trying for a couple hours they had both gained one achievement each, and I gained nothing. They than decided to leave me after our 8th game.
Suggestion to 343i: Don’t make these required maps/gametypes such a pain to get, the options rarely show up, and then getting people to vote for it is another pain, followed up by the actual task being difficult/glitchy.
My question: How long is my “Temporary Credit Ban” for?
I was recently playing a game of Double Team with my friend when a message appeared on my screen it read,“You have been temporarily banned from earning credits.” I was very confused because I was not doing anything wrong; I was simply playing the game while I was talking to my friend in an Xbox Live party. I have been banned for the past six days and I would just like to know why.
have been on and off reach all day since about 10 am (GMT+1)
had no problems all day, then had my box off while i popped to the shops. came back to reach and being told i have a temp ban!!

When I got on Halo Reach a message popped up saying that my console and account have been temporarily banned from earning credits. I didn’t do the credit glitch and i cant think of a reason for me to be banned but does anyone know how long the ban might be?
I’m fairly sure it’s one week. Don’t quote me on that though, I’d personally say it’s 48hrs to a week.

I was playing halo reach and I left my Xbox on during matchmaking and I came back in about 5mins and it said that I was band from earning credits so how come I got band can you unband me
I am sitting on Xbox doing nothing so what’s the point of even playing reach is the only game I really play and I was almost a major grade 3 give me a call ask Xbox for my number or just look at my Facebook names Bryson thometz and I’ll keep sending until you give me a explanation on whats going on

Okay i was wondering if anyone out there can help me this the delema I’m having when I get on Halo Reach:

I would like to know how long any why.
Second:It say this Account has been temporarily beaned from earning credits
I would like to know why and how long.
What I have come to the concution is that I was in fire fight all day and after my last one of the day, a little message poped up saying “You have reached the max credits Earned for the day,” But I paid no mind and when on some swat matches and was still earning credits.
My only concern is knowing how long this will last, if its “temporary”

I logged into Halo Reach and when I tried using Theater Mode it says I’m banned. I never got banned from theater mode before, and now I can’t use it at all.
Can whoever controls the ban please tell me what I did wrong and how long the ban is?
And if it’s possible, can you please reverse it?

24 hours to forever depending on how many bans you’ve previously had and the egregiousness of your offense.
I didn’t bother answering anyone before page 183, as there was too much volume of people asking why they got banned. I’m online now, and will be for most of the day tommorow, so i’ll try to help you people out as best i can during this time.
I will however say:Most of you were banned for sitting idle through a game of firefight. Robbing your team of a sentient and effective player is not fair. The fact that you are earning the same credits by idleing that i have to play for is boosting.
If you are about to post in this thread asking why you were banned, and you were thinking you were being clever by earning credits for nothing, that is without the tiniest iota of doubt why you were banned (i probably just saved you some wear and tear on your keyboard)

You cannot be banned for reaching the credit limit, you simply wont earn credits until the next day.
You were banned because you were AFK’ing in firefight. and that is boosting/cheating. Why should you be able to earn credits for doing nothing and robbing your teammates of a team member who will actually do work? I have to play to earn the credits to rank up, why do you deserve to rank up by doing nothing?
First time bans tend to last 24-48 hours,longer if you’re a repeat offender.

I’m not 100% on this, but i think you’ve had a run in with Microsoft’s word filter.
The filter reads some perfectly harmless words as profanity (such as epic). There could be something that it’s catching in your gamertag.
