Hmmm, it’s odd that they banned you from Matchmaking for it though, actually, was it Halo 3’s Live Services all together or JUST a matchmaking ban, could you play custom games with anybody?
Also, I can say, you can get banned from Halo 3 & Reach permanently for using/uploading modded content, heck, I did on Reach.
Hello I have been banned for nearly 2 weeks now my xbox 360 says This console is temporarily not earning credits, me and my wife play everyday not sure of what we did wrong but trying not to complain too much, we are faithful players and even though we have been banned so long we still like playing matchmaking,I dont want to cause any problems but can you please lift our xbox ban so we can earn credits and possibly tell us what we did so we dont do it again?please n thanks.

Damn, sorry for wasting your time then, I hope someone else can give a useful response, if it was a Halo 3 LIVE Services ban, I had the answer.

No matter how much it kills me to say this, you were banned for ‘AFK boosting’ which I can tell quite clearly from your history you were not.
You were banned for not being a very good player, let me try to put it into context.
Say if you were playing Capture the Flag on Reflection and you managed to die 6 or 7 times in the game and not get a single kill because the other team were dominating, you technically according to the banhammer, just AFK boosted.
It’s a flawed system, I personally would PM ‘Total Sellout’ about the problem as you were falsely banned.

Look at his matches…his guest is AFKing…and DNF is a trick that some guys do…they quit just before the end of the match…i don’t know if he’s done it, probably he did but i am not sure…

So was it me or was it a guest that is accused of afk boosting, because I know for a fact I don’t use anything to boost my credits. Plus the attitude you have “Enjoy your ban” is very uncalled for, I ask a question and just want answers and you take it as grounds to be rude. I can’t help it if my wife doesn’t play games as much as me and doesn’t get kills during a match if it is a guest that is the accused.

ehh, I kinda see what you’re saying, but look at the other players in that game, one other guy had a DNF but he had points scored.
Even if he AFK’d the whole time, and then did a DNF at the end… you can’t really tell by his FF history that he’s been doing that enough to get a credit ban.
He probably deserves a ban for one reason or another (I see some suspect penalties on the living dead playlist) but I don’t think that one game is it. I could be wrong, just going off of what I see.

I can see one game of AFKing in Firefight, you don’t get chances, if you AFK once, you AFK’d, you get banned.

It’s not one game…and your wife was AFKing she wasn’t bad…and also…you said that he is rude…well you should be honest…i can see a lot of AFKing in Grifball and SWAT…
I usually camp and try not to die because if I run around I just get blown away. lol I don’t go away from the game but if camping is the same as afking then I won’t do it I just needed the clarity on this so I do my best to not have this happen to me anymore because I enjoy playing the game.

There completely different and if your not getting a single kill while camping in a game, then you need to move around and kill some more.

Both of you are wrong. The game can tell the difference between camping and moving without kills.
