Why Did I Get Banned - The Official Thread

> So you think that if people let their children play, and their children aren’t any good at the game, that they should be banned for cheating.

As far as we all know, your children were cheating, we don’t know when you were banned so we can’t exactly look into it.

> So you think that if people let their children play, and their children aren’t any good at the game, that they should be banned for cheating.

Nope, but understand that allowing small children to play effects other peoples game in a negative way. Play customs with them or maybe campaign and then you should be fine =)

Welcome to Waypoint.

This reply is directed at Bungie. There are no warnings for players sitting idle and after the fact there is no recourse, no way to find out how long you’ve been ban for or even what you’ve been banned for. I don’t hang out in forums, but from what I can see, it appears to be a hostile enviornment. So in parting I would simply like to say, good luck in selling future games to noobs whom you’ve decided to punish.

Bungie don’t run Halo games any more, 343 Industries do, you are on their website now.

When Bungie did run the show, you got a pop-up after the ban telling you to visit www.bungie.net/ban which still now, contains all information in regards to why you will have got banned.

If you’re permabanned, then you weren’t “sitting idle…”

I’d like to point out that I wasn’t being hostile…I was actually looking through your previous games to try and help but it seems that your mind is pretty much made up anyway so I won’t bother.

Okay, I’m kind of confused… What did you get banned for? Letting your kids play? Sitting Idle or what?

> Okay, I’m kind of confused… What did you get banned for? Letting your kids play? Sitting Idle or what?

That’s exactly what I’m talking about. And the only thing that anyone knows is that the machines (Xbox 360) read :This account has been temporarily banned from earning credits and then a follow-up screen that says: This 360 consol has been ban from earning credits. As far as the why goes, unless you’re a hacker or a moder, no one knows. Hence, 15,200,000 hits on the Google question about credit banned and Halo Reach.

What day were you banned on, I’m going to look into it for you.

O.O That is one GIANT post! Paragraphs would be helpful if you want people to actually read your post and answer your question.

If you’re asking what you did to get banned, post in this thread and someone should be able to help you. (I’m honestly not sure what you’re asking, though. Your post is very long and confusing.)

sorry my bad 24th

Well, it would actually be good to have a “warning” syetem added to the “betrayal booting” mechanism.
If yo accidentally betray someone (or intentionally) a message will pop up “If you betray again you will be booted, you’ve been warned”. Either at first betray, or at second depending on the booting settings for Halo 4.

You were banned due to your AFKing activity in this game, Slayer Pro on Imago

and again my point exactily no one should have to ask

why should anyone have to ask why have i been banned

Because they don’t know what can get them banned?

Ω

i think that people should be warned before thay are banned and told why after thay are banned

Actually, you are. You get put on probation, and then you get banned. And a second thread by you on the subject isn’t needed.
