Sounds like a credit reset to me. If you have done any challenge resetting, Firefight AFK’ing, etc., it will essentially permaban you from receiving credits.
Not sure if what has happened is the banhammer but I have stoped recieveing Cr’s from my commendations, and challenges. I have not recieved a message stating that I am Banned not sure whats going on… need help and Cr’s Gamer Tag RampentLionPrid
Reason why most likely you are credit banned is because you did something wrong the system caught on to you if your caught in the act of doing something you should’nt be doing well therefore you get the punishment most cases first time credit bans last up to 24 hours the second time you are caught it is 72 hour credit ban the thrid time you are banned for 2 weeks to the day you were banned on if you think you didnt deserve a ban just talk to a moderator thats what they are there for another thing you can’t avoid a ban because one people do not do the banning it is a set of scripts that focus on what you do it picks up on what you do also another thing if your caught atleast five times i belive you get your rank reset so don’t do it again bans from matchmaking are different they only last 10 minutes credit bans last 24 hours to 2 weeks so if you do this kind of stuff just quit doing it and go about by playing fairly

I think if you get 0 kills a decent amount (not sure how many is ‘decent’) you get banned for a time.
I’m a noob. A long time gamer, I had the Atari 5400 when it was new and just about every system that they made. Later as the market became flooded, I gravitated toward games that I liked early on the best. Titles like, Zelda, and generally when I’m hooked I don’t put it down. Sometimes, through the years, I’ve made those around me sick of the extent of my game play. Halo was new 10 years ago. I’m in my mid-fourties and a lot of times I can be found in my private arcade with my orgional NES or my Game Cube. My nephews have been trying to get me to play Halo since it was new. One day, last October, I learned that the stick on the controler when depressed was a new button. Suddenly a whole new world of game play opened up to me once again. I was able to get under the half opened bulkhead and meet Captin Keys on the bridge for the first time. It was so cool. I went through one, two, three ODST, I have a Halo Wars unopened in the package. Still waiting to check that one out, hadn’t got there yet. But Reach really did something for me. As I said earilier, I’m a Zelda fan and one of the cool things about Reach is that you get to earn credits. You get to buy things. Since I’m so hooked on it, my kids are aware of it. My five year old goes around calling me driver Donny dad. It’s really cute. And they all want to play. Well the first time I let them play was at Christmas time. Totally unaware of the law enforcement in this whole new world, my children were on as guests. My little boy didn’t do much, just stood there, spun circles and shot the celing and without warning, at Christmas time of all times, I was banned. I discovered what a ban was. We left town, I was at families house, and I should have been focused on what was going on during the Holidays, but instead I was focused on the fact that somebody could take something away from me that I had worked on from Oct. to Christmas without warning. If you Google ‘how long is a temporary ban’ you get a number, something like 15,200,000. In my search I found people crying, mad, hurt, upset, distraught, suddenly this whole new world of gaming accually has a punishment system where you can take away somebodys efforts in a game without warning. If I would have seen something flash across my screen warning me of an idle player, I certainly would have stoped it imediately. After the fact I have to agree with all of the rest of the gamers out here, we all think that it’s absolutely horrid that you have decided to punish us for an indefinate amount of time. I think that Halo has its following, people who are devout and will always be there. THe game itself, you hear the word betrayal a lot. You are definately betraying the noobs. I don’t think the majority of the noobs will buy into more games where they can be punished without prior warning and after the fact, they have no way of knowing what they are being punished for or how long. At any given moment, if they make the right mistake, with a push of a button you can wipe out years of their work. I have other things on my Xbox besides this game. Things worth hanging onto. TV shows that I’ve watched since I was a kid. If it weren’t for the fact that the Xbox itself has other valuable functions, I’d strongly considered throwing the thing in the trash. So all of this basically comes down to one question: Why do you want to punish your fans?
I’m still reading this…but you may want to try paragraphs. I’m not used to reading Borg Cubes.
Alright. I’ve read the square Death Star and I understand where you’re coming from, but at the end of the day the ban system of Reach and any other Halo game is kinda like real life.
You break the rules, you better be ready for the consequences.
I understand that it was kids playing it and let’s be honest, kids aren’t the greatest games. They’re still learning.
But the problem is they were under your supervision on your console making it your sole responsibility. Even if you didn’t know about the ban it won’t make a difference.
I’m sorry you’ve been banned but there isn’t much you can do. I would suggest giving them a little bit of customs first before putting them in online Matchmaking. As for the online system in Reach…it’s Reach, even if you’re the worst person in the world Reach’s lovely and carefully crafted system will pair you up with a person who never loses…
To be perfectly honest, if I had control of the ban hammer, I would ban you from the game for cheating or breaking rules even if you were Frank O’ Connor, never mind being a fan.
Fans may be fans, but fans still cheat, cheating sucks and it affects the rest of us when you do it.
Temporary bans don’t last long if they are first time offences, usually 24-48 hours.
> So you think that if people let their children play, and their children aren’t any good at the game, that they should be banned for cheating.
If you’re referring to me, then no, I do not. But that’s from a personal standpoint.
The logical standpoint would be to remove the worse players until they can improve. Not remove as in just ban completely, I mean small meaningless bans. 10 minute bans seems fine with me but a week because you’re new?
I don’t think that’s fair myself, but it’s not my game.
