Can anyone tell me if any of these post are ever reviewed or resolved? or are we just unprofessionally ignored as if we were whinning kids? I have already contacted XBOX on numerous occassions regarding these matter and they were very professional and assured me that this matter would be handled threw this forum bases site but it looks like no one ever gets an answer. So since 343 industries is not willing to answer my basic questions can anyone else? why do you get banned unjustly from eaning credits? what does temporary banned from earning credits mean? 1 day? 1 week? 1 month? 1 year? and most importantly why?
I have been banned from earning credits from Halo Reach. I believe I know why as I was setting custom challenges every 3 hours and I take full responsibility for my ban All I would Like to know is what is the cR Limit before banning and How long will this ban take place for. This is also my first offence

I can’t help with your ban length as it will depend on various factors we’re not privvy to, but I believe the daily limit is 200.000, I’m sure it was changed to that at some point.

You weren’t banned for custom challenges, as no such ban exists. Custom challenge credits aren’t included in the daily Cr cap (as i understand, correct me if i am wrong), and can be earned after hitting the Cr cap.
There is however some AFK activity on your game history, and that is probably why you got banned.
First time bans typicaly last 24-48 hours.

These posts are RARELY IF EVER reviewed, as the ban hammer is automated and is 99.999% accurate.
The ban system reads multiple 0 kill games as boosting. (people routinely use their idle guests to boost kills/commendtions and win loss ratio, so if your guest looks AFK, it nails the main account and xbox with a credit ban). This 0 kill banning function was added to keeps things fair, and help keep AFK boosters off of Halo. unfortunatly sometimes, a less than proficient Halo player gets an AFK ban after multiple 0 kill games. You can thank the cheaters for this!
The simple solution to this is to keep your children away from the matchmaking lobbies, as they can be pretty competitive. Firefight is a great option for those less than skilled in the art of an FPS. You can not be banned by getting 0 kill custom games, custom firefight and campaign.
First time bans last anywhere from 24-48 hours. 2 weeks and up for multiple offences.
Thanks good to know I never knew that. my daughter played with me yesterday for 5 games in MM, she swore she was doing well. Hopefully it gets lifted soon. Won’t let that happen again.

I have to say I am not at all impressed. I can’t believe this automated ban policy is the best you can do. You all do such a good job programming so many aspects of the game; you have the best multiplayer infrastructure of any game. Yet when it comes to stopping cheaters you have such a weak automated system that it can’t distinguish between a legitimately trying noob and an AFK booster. I would be embarrassed to admit that I wrote a code labeling someone as AFK simply because they had zero kills and zero medals. However, that is what so many on this forum have suggested.
Having said that, I really do hope your really good programmers are too busy to improve this weak automated system because they are hard at work making sure Halo 4 lives up to Halo’s legacy of excellence and cutting-edge/ground-breaking awesomeness.
As for suggestions such as: “keep guests in firefight or custom matches only” - that won’t work for me. The enemies in firefight scare my daughter, and she is only interested in playing against other Spartans. I have tried custom matches but can’t get enough people into the lobby to consistently play full fun games with her on my team, but when I can I do. However, I am not going to limit her, or my friends when they come over, to those game modes. Instead I will accept perpetual credit bans until they are good enough to consistently get multiple kills in a game. You see, them enjoying the game is far more valuable to me than me earning fictitious currency for the purpose of accessorizing a virtual warrior-doll. That being said, does anyone know if my credit bans will ever escalate to actual bans if I keep playing with guests who are not proficient?
I would be significantly less outraged if this forum wasn’t quite so pretentious in defending the legitimacy and track record of this ban hammer. In the initial post on this forum Total Sellout wrote “If you get a ban, there is a 99.9999% chance it was deserved.” That is an impressive statement that suggests you have (at least once) reviewed 1,000,000 automatic bans and found 999,999 to have been justified and 1 that was not justified. Considering my wife was banned last month because my daughter played on her account, and then after playing multiplayer with her as a guest on my account I have been banned for more than a week (suggesting I have been banned more than once for this), this statistic suggests 2,999,997 people were legitimately banned in the past two months and 1,999,998 in the last week accompanying the three times I have been unjustly banned. If this statistic holds true or even approximately so, then that is a lot of cheaters and I am sad that it is such a pervasive issue.
Hi guys and gals i wonder if someone can help me out?
I havent played halo reach in about a year because i was banned from ranking up for reasons i do not no. This lead me to sell the game and not i really want to buy it back about but wont buy it unless i can get my halo reach unbanned from ranking. its been banned for over a year so if i could get this lifted then that’ll be great because i’d love to play Reach in the run up to Halo 4!!
So wait, because I sucked for a few matches and couldn’t get a kill (in a game mode where kills don’t matter anyway) I am now banned from earning credits? That’s a croc of poo!! I am all for banning cheaters, but not at the expense of legitimate paying players. I take my Halo playing seriously, and now I have a black mark on my record and cannot even earn credits for lord knows how long? All because I couldn’t get a kill in CTF for a few matches? Shame on Microsoft/Bungie/343 Industries for allowing this kind of thing to happen to honest hard working players. Most of all, SHAME ON YOU CHEATERS!!! You’ve ruined my day and tarnished my Halo career!!
And I’m sorry if I sound ignorant, but what does AFK mean?
> And I’m sorry if I sound ignorant, but what does AFK mean?
“Away from keyboard.” In this context it means away from the controller. (Ignore the other meanings that come up on a google search, it is nothing kinky.)

Seeing as how this is the second or third time you’ve posted the same thing, i’ll try to shed a little light on the situation.
If you were permenently banned, there is nothing you can do to reverse it. Also, if the ban hammer caught you dead to rights either many times, or one serious offense and it hands you a permanent ban, you can almost 100% be sure deserved it.
They don’t have a way to appeal bans. And i imagine they have no intentions of allowing a known cheater/ repeat offender back into the fray.
If it was temporary, the ban should be gone by now.

Is there anyway to check if im still banned from ranking without buying the game again?
Does anyone with any type of authority to lift an unwarranted ban even check these forums? This is horrible. Got a nice weekend jackpot bonus as well as the weekly challenge I am going to miss out on. All for playing the game legit. Come on!
So according to this forum post in never going to learn how long my ban is because people keep posting stories about their children and whining(kudos to you if you have children and such) just please can we stop the spam posting and getting others requests ignored because we posted multi posts instead of adding. Also I’m 17 so yeah that’s why i don’t really care about the children and such and am a little peeved that i haven’t got an answer from my post on page 166 because people spammed to 167 thus hiding my post and causing me not getting an answer. SO,since my other previous posts have been ignored please tell me how long my ban is and do they stack.
I see that this is happening to everyone and not just me, Ooox J A Y xooO thanks for your answer as I was a victim of my five year old son playing with me in a couple BTB matches. And 343 if you really value your fan base as much as you say this problem needs to be fixed because people are being flagged by a bad TO CATCH A CHEATER system that you say is 9.99999% right. I have the file share videos to prove i was banned falsely. And another thing real classy move not answering the post on this thread that’s a real -Yoink- MOVE in my opinion.
It’s not good. I am playing my second day of competitive. Previously have been playing fire fight to learn the game. Played one team game and was embarrassed to let the other players down so immediately went to Rumble Pit where I started off with lots of zero kills sprinkled with 1, 2 or 3 kills. On day 2 of rumble pit I get credit banned. My question, do they expect only class players to play this game? Not much encouragement to play the game and get no credit for the times I did get kills.
What did I do exactly to get banned? I can honestly say I do not mod, team kill, kill -Yoink!- (excuse the language) or any of that stuff. I just see this as unfair if somebody thought it was funny to report me as a joke
