Even if you’re present, if a guest receives no kills or medals, the banhammer sees that as being AFK.
Since you’re the owner of the account that the guest was on, you’re held responsible.
I have a few more questions that I’ve been piecing together over the past day and was wondering if I could get some answers about bannation that aren’t stated in the rules.
1: If I’m already banned based off of “Cr boosting” it doesn’t stack correct? I was just thinking that it wouldn’t because if I’m making to Cr off of it then I can’t be rebanned for something that I obviously am not doing.
2: If someone is credit banned for life, couldn’t they join a game with a guest and never get kills with it thus banning everyone else that plays 3 games in a row with them?
3: If I already have 100% armory completion why is a credit ban necessary?

Hello, i play reach all the time, every day, and lately im always getting temporary bans for being kicked, mainly because i accidently betray some1 while im in a tank or something, as im a BTB vehichle -Yoink!-, or some1 runs into my vehichles purposely because they didnt get it… i just want to be able to play again… and if you check your case files or w/e youl see i dont deserve these bans every day, thanks for your time.
I’m a self-professed noob when it comes to this forum, so be easy on me. I’ve recently started to play Halo: Reach again after many months of not having time to play my Xbox at all. Last week, there were two games I quit during the week (the first being an annoying 1v5 and the next being a non-connect game, being stuck on the load screen for about 5min straight). The following day, I decided to boot the game up again and before the menu even comes up, I get the “You’ve quit too many games recently…” message. Long story short, this message continues to pop up DAILY. I could deal with it for a few hours since I’m not a quitter, but the second scenario I described last week happened again today and it’s really getting me annoyed. After one game, it bans me. Is there something wrong with my gamertag now & is there anyone I can contact (besides Xbox Live Support, whose chat transcript I have saved just to show what a bunch of BS their “support” team is)? Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Hi, i havent played halo reach in about a year because i was banned from ranking up for reasons i do not no. This lead me to sell the game and not i really want to buy it back about but wont buy it unless i can get my halo reach unbanned from ranking. its been banned for over a year so if i could get this lifted then that’ll be great because i’d love to play Reach in the run up to Halo 4!!
i dont know why i recieved this message on my sign in screen for halo reach can someone help? This was unjustly done. I am a registered Nurse and it is me and my 12 year old son who play this game. we do not use a microphone and play the game with no knowledge of why this was done unfairly.
I have seen that getting 0 kills gets you banned. I was playing with my wife as a guest and we got spawn camped (plus this is her first real foray into fps’s), and for the better part of 3 games we were owned. I final moved and got credit banned. Is there anyway to prevent this from happening again? It seems unreasonable to punish someone for getting owned.

I have been banned from earning credits in Halo Reach on both my account and my wife’s account. I suspect it is because my 5 year old plays with me. Unfortunately she is not very good yet, but I have seen massive improvement and I wanted to accelerate that with online play (story line content is too mature). First I let her play on my wife’s account while I played on mine. Then she got banned, and my wife was not happy. So I let her play on my account as a guest. Now I have been banned. She tries her hardest and will get a kill occasionally. May I please get these bans reversed? I have done nothing mischeviously and neither has any user of my account. My wife’s account is Trigger30.
Side note justification for letting a 5 year old play: As a professional in an industry that utilizes hand eye coordination, I have been impressed with the vastly superior proficiency of individuals who play first person shooter games over those who do not. As such I see value in playing games, like halo, that is beyond recreational. She is always supervised when playing, and is not exposed to the online communications.

I suspect that it is cause i let my 5 year old play with my as a guest today and she didnt get any kills, if that is the reason that is ridiculous. she is just learning? lift this ban it is unethical and unjustly i was not being rude or trying to give an advantage just trying to have fun with my child.
How did i know that allowing your kid to play with you would get banned from earning credits, and then on top of that you cant even speak to anyone regarding this matter, and then they dont respond to you either, whats the point of having a forum to resolve issues if they are apparently ignored?
i didnt know letting some one who did not know how to play would get you banned? i know now and will not allow her to enjoy online play with me but really never crossed my mind that that was wrong. IT IS A GAME!!! when you go online there are no rules that i was aware of except not to be a cheater? no swearing? the basics! So i payed good money for halo 1, halo2, halo3, halo ODST, halo anniversary, and pre-ordered halo4, and cant enjoy all features that i payed for deserve…i just want to enjoy the game as every one else, I HAVE DONE NOTHING WRONG!!!

I have been here a few times and been cR once for 48 hours now I have a question and that is will I get in trouble (i.e.)bans of any kind if I was in a party of friends for a few matches I would less then ten, who had idle guests controllers on and afk, I personally never AFKed nor idled, I basically played and took a few convienient achievements. My main concern is I heard you can get in trouble for killing idle players I tried not but one match inparticular I think the first I killed a few. Any help would be great.
Oh and another quick queston, I been using waypoint bout 2 weeks the only thing I cant figure out is how to view my recent matches? Or can other people only do that? like who was in the match and the score etc…? Thanks.

I have for some unknown reason been banned temporarily from earning credits on Halo Reach. I do not understand this ban. All I did was play a couple hours (if that) of team objective. I am hoping this is some sort of error and can be resolved quickly. Can someone please look at my game history and tell me if there is something I did wrong? Thank you for any help in advance. I am in complete shock right now. I have never been banned from a game, much less my favorite game franchise, Halo.
