What was the date of your ban?

> IM TEMPORARY BAN FROM EARNING CREDITS (MY ACCOUNT SO IS MY XBOX)ON HALO REACH WHY ITS THAT???

You were banned due to your guests AFKing activity in this game: Slayer DMRs on Countdown.

First time bans tend to last 24-48 hours.

> It’s this stupid little thing called Credit Farming, which for Halo Reach is also Boosting, both things is cheating.

To clarify, Boosting & farming are completely different, boosting is against the rules while farming isn’t.

> I’ve been given temporary bans twice now on the accusation of quitting games too often or something along those lines. I rarely if ever quit out of games and if so it’s for good reason… I started receiving the message that says something like “you’ve been quitting games too often recently, if you continue to do so you won’t be able to log in to Matchmaking for a while.” Now, this only started happening because my Reach disc wouldn’t load the maps on the disc when I tried to play some original Reach Slayer. (I almost exclusively play the Anniversary playlists these days). So, when I couldn’t load maps repeatedly, the Matchmaking system kicked me out of the game. I retried a few times because I miss having the jetpack lol. Anyways, so yeah I’m wondering how long/if ever I will continue to receive these messages and get banned. I don’t want there to be any possibility of getting permanently banned either, obviously.

You are being warned of quitting as you are being kicked out of games due to your disk which counts as a quit, you will never get permanently banned for ‘quitting’, only for modding and continuous cR bans.

I advise you buy a new disk to stop the false quit bans from occurring.

> i was playing halo reach earlier i kept getting betrayed and my team was going after me etc. couple hours later i logged back on and it said i had been temporarily banned from earning credits. i talked to xbox live all they could tell me was to post on here. how do i fix this and get unbanned so i can go back to earning credits?

You were banned due to your guests AFKing activity in this game: SWAT on Reflection

First time bans tend to last 24-48 hours.

> This is about (Halo 3) and both my account and console have been perm banned and i actually don’t know why… All i can think of is because i have been getting into games and not playing ??? But i don’t understand why i am perm banned for that? Just wondering if anyone can help.

Nobody here will be able to provide you with help on Halo 3 bans, this topic is purely for the community to tell you why you were banned, we only have access to your game history for Halo: Reach.

Although to take a wild guess, if someone on your team is using network manipulation, the whole team will be banned as a consequence.

Why were you banned?
You boosted/afk’d. The end.

Well, looks like my kid got my xbox banned. Can you let me know why?

Thanks,
Brian

Gotta post in the Why I got banned banned thread above. This thread will just get locked.

To get a console ban, you gotta do some copious naughty work. WE’re talking like full-on modding and cheating. Check the Xbox Live site, they give run downs on how you go about getting a full console ban.

Thread you Need

Xbox Live console ban page

Well bans aren’t just randomly given out so they obviously cheated in some fashion and there was enough evidence to issue a ban. It depends on the severity of the case really. If the ban is permanent, it’s likely they modded their gamerscore of gamertag in some way. First step is to ask what they did. They obviously didn’t do ‘nothing’.

Thanks I’ll post in the other thread. I couldn’t find a delete or move on this post.

Your son likely knows what he did imo, try asking him im sorry to here hopefully this can be avoided next time if you get a new xbox to play reach.

Youre 14 and you already have a kid? Damn dude.

14… I wish I was younger but not that young.

It’s a temporary ban but still wondering what he did. And if you can tell, when the ban would be lifted.

Thanks…

I was just cR banned for no reason. I was playing halo reach and was cR banned in the middle of a game. If i could please get my account reviewed and the ban lifted that would be great… This is the third time i have been banned for no reason…

Might be the game of “TU team crazy king” that you and your buddy had no points/kills.

AFKing in a game its a reason for baning someone

why was i banned for that? does that mean they were away because my guest wasnt. it was her first time playing and it was my fault for having her play a hard level. if you could watch all the games we played she never stood still. she played just couldnt get a kill. when am i going to get unbanned?

Is the account in question bckeller?

You were banned due to AFKing activity in this game: TU Team Slayer on Reflection

Expect a 2 week long wait for your ban.

Because in the eyes of the banhammer, you were AFK, which is how it works, you won’t be unbanned early and bans can not be appealed.

lilackattack is my kids ID, wasn’t sure if he was using his or mine bckeller.

lilackattack was banned due to the guests AFKing activity in this game: Slayer DMRs on Ellul.

First time bans tend to last 24-48 hours.

Hey I was just wondering if you guys down at 343 can tell how long a ban is?
If you can it would be great if you could tell me how long my current one is as it just tells me that I’m “temporarily banned from earning credits” both on my Xbox and on my gamertag, I’m just throwing out a guess that its two weeks but I can’t be sure.
And yes I do know I was “boosting” because my friends and I got together to try and get some achievements considering that to get all of the DLC achievements at my current rank is virtually impossible. For a few of them, we left some of our friends(signed is as guests) just standing so we don’t have any issues with achievement hunting gone wrong.(If anyone objects to achievement hunting on Halo: Reach, I suggest they reach atleast Mythic rank then try to legitimately get every achievement for online with no ones help.)

I know i’ve been banned for one day(which was bogus because my cousin legitimately can not kill things in Halo), and for two days(which was correct because I had a birthday party and we spent the whole time going through SWAT games murdering our four away from controller players.

Long story short, just asking when I’ve put my time in!

GT: SteelTachi

I am not here to reverse my ban but to ask a couple of questions. The message that appeared on my screen was very unclear, it simply said that my account had temporarily been banned from earning credits but I could still play matchmaking. Then I went on today and it said that my console had been temporarily banned so now I cannot even sign into halo reach. To my kowledge (which might be wrong) first time offenders get a 24 hr ban, am I correct? I got banned around 10pm last night so do you think my account will be unbanned by tomorrow morning?

Hello, i was playing halo reach and was teachin my sis how to play and getting 0 kills some games and was banned, u can review my history… i was present in all of those games…
