The Quit Ban is the only ban which tells you the reason why.
As for you lagging out, if it was a service problem, we would have a lot of people on the forums complaining about it and sharing their issues, you appear to be the only one, as I said, restart your router and if that doesn’t fix it, contact your ISP and ask what’s up.

You are being banned for lagging out which counts as a quit, you are not being banned for no reason.
I was banned from earning cr in halo reach i can see why. I afk for about 6 firefight games. I had no idea that i could get banned from earning cr for this. I think it was unfair, but live and learn right? I would like to ask how long will i be banned and can you please send me a list of all the things that you can get banned for in halo reach. So i will know next time. Thank you.
just play the game the way it was meant to be played and you wont get banned.
i got and get a message saying im credit banned for 2 weeks for both account and system. no other information than that. i wasnt cheating i know that for sure cause i was playing single player and yet i have gotten no good response as to the reason behind this ban. more than that i have gotten no response. i do not have any modes and i cant think what the problem is and i think im starting to be ignored cause no one else has a clue either. come on little moa cant you do something? this is very disappointing to have no results.

same here, i’m hoping my ban is just 24 hrs as it was my first offense but we’ll see at about 1:30 central time. i was just trying to do that darn weekly challenge. but like you said live and learn and i probably won’t earn credits like that and just do the whole custom challenge thing

I have primarily just left it for someone else to figure out because I don’t have a clue, I can only check your game history like many others, it is unlikely you will get an official response either, you can always try PMing Total Sellout, he has banned people in the past and mentioned it on Twitter, I assume he has ban hammer control, he may be able to help you out.

First time bans tend to last 24-48 hours, any longer past 48 hours is usually 1-2 weeks.
My ban was lifted looks like it was a 24hr ban. I guess the first time is 24hr.
This is bull… i have been banned twice within a months time for no reason. the only thing i can think of for the ban, was that i had a guest play with me on live that was not good at the game… not only is that not far it makes no since to ban me for tryin to show someone the game… i need more info than just telling me i am banned. is there any way to see this digital record they have on me, so i can try to stop this from happening anymore!

We do not believe we did anything to get banned for other than playing too much and the system possibly thinking we weren’t playing. As I understand it, there is no ban for hitting the credit limit for any given day.
I checked your game history, and there is definatly a fair bit of AFK activity.

The ban system is automated, and reads 0 kill and low kill games as boosting, which is against the rules. Sitting idle in a game or just running around and dieing without any kills counts as boosting.
Unfortunately, there is no appeal process that i am aware of. The good news is that credit bans only last 24-48 hours (for a first time ban) from the time you first receive the ban notificatin(as far as i know). Think of it as knowledge gained, now you know how to avoid future bans.

I have been playing Halo Reach multiplayer for some time now, last month I received a temporary ban from earning credits that lasted 48 hours. I was playing in firefight and as far a I know did not break any rules I had a friend play who has never played Xbox before, interesting that they got a system that following week. Then this weekend I was playing firefight again with my friend and we both got the ban but this time it is going from Friday 4/27 and I still have the ban from earning credits and theirs has been lifted. I want to know how I broke the rules to receive this ban, because if this is going to happen more often am questioning whether or not to get Halo 4.

Was your friend on a completely different account on your console or was he on his own console on his own account?
Helps me out if you can provide more details.
