the last 2 days my challenges have been screwed up. I don’t want to be banned for cheating when the game is doing it. yesterday I completed the challenges… then a few hours later… It said I didnt do them? happened about 2-3 times. Now when im doing the firefight matchmaking challenges, I get a challenge or progress in it, and i get disconnected from xbox live twice. Not sure what tto do

I don’t know if she is telling the truth or if you believe her. The only i believe is Bungie.net and if it says that she was AFK for 20 matches then she was! Maybe she wasn’t texting but she was writing an essay for her school! And no it’s not stupid and it’s not that she is bad! She didn’t get a single kill for 20 consecutive matches. I mean come on! Throw a grenade!

Suggest that she play custom games, custom Firefight and Campaign with friends rather than matchmaking.

Hey this happened earlier today i signed in a guest went into firefight doubles and i was staring at my guest and he was staring at me so my srgt johnson voice would say funny things and i would keep moving ( so as not to appear afk ) and i would kill stuff that came up and in the last 10 min i just played like normal and when i came back online later it tells me my console and account have been temp banned from credits, so in short I was wondering if there is anything that can be done and if not how long is this temp unspesified ban for?

Just dropping a note about the quit-banhammer here:
-Need to differentiate between intentional and unintentional quits.
For instance: I have a 1 channel wireless router and whenever someone picks up the phone in the house(doesn’t even have to turn it on), I get disconnected from Xbox live.
-Need to exempt people in unfair games.
For instance: If you’re playing BTB and suddenly there’s a host change and one team becomes horribly disadvantaged (I once had to face a 2 vs 7 game. I think it’s obvious I left.) there should be no penalty for either side to leave at that point (either to balance the game or out of frustration).
Another solution would be to allow join-in-progress for some gametypes/playlists in the next Halo.
Or you could omit players’ statistical failiures altogether and focus on improvement rather than K/D or crap like that. (Think like TF2: Only shows positive things about your performance).
-Differenciate group disconnects.
For instance: When I play at a friends house with my account, if we get kicked or disconnected, this carries over to my account when I retrieve my gamertag even if I initiated nothing.
-Do not count betrayal boots.
For instance: I won’t make an exposé about how horrendously broken the betrayal boot system is, but say some guy betrays me for the sniper he can’t properly use, naturally when I betray him back, he gets the boot option and uses it: this counts towards quitting for me.
All in all quit bans are a good concept in theory and in my lifetime, I’ve only received maybe 2 or 3 anyway, but it certainly needs a bit more tweaking.
I’d also like to mention tweaks are needed for the assists and betrayal systems, but I’ll leave it to that.

Anyone help me with my File Share issue? I am unable to upload anything that I created, with the game saying I am banned from Xbox Live. This isn’t the case, I can still chat with friends, play MM, etc. I called MS support and they said that there shouldn’t be any filter on my GT (same as username), and that they couldn’t do anything, because if it was on their end then they would have sent my GT a message when the filter was applied
never mind about mine i didn’t realize that having a afk guest in a two player firefight was against the rules they should really have all this up in the game itself.

What your saying is wrong, the in-game message is telling you, that your gamertag is blocked due to an offensive name.
You would need to change your gamertag from ‘a proud nerd’ if you want to upload again, even then, you need to recapture all of your files so it doesn’t have ‘a proud nerd’ as the author.
It’s a Microsoft problem, not 343i’s.

Hi my gamertag is MrPuppet I was banned about 3 months ago for 2 weeks. I recently came back to the game but my credits, rank and armor are gone. I have a suspicion that i was banned for quiting firefight matches that i didn’t like. Anyways if i was banned for this reason is it normal for a first time offense to lose credits, armor, and rank as well.

I do have a quick question…I’ve noticed a lot of issues about AFKing in this thread from people farming for credits…wouldn’t it be a lot easier on the management end of the games to change a few details regarding the way credits are earned so that idle players simply can’t achieve any credits…maybe something like starting the credit achievement after 2 or 3 kills, but boost credits after that to where it evens out so that overall per game credit gain is about the same? Just a thought.
BTW, haven’t been banned, don’t plan to do anything banworthy in the future, just checking the thread so I can keep in mind what not to do for me and my kids. Yes I let my 7 & 9 yr olds play as well with their own gamertags, but IMHO the game is essentially virtual paintball, with grenades, and rocket launchers…but no dismemberments, barely any blood, online non-friend voices are disabled, plus they’re pretty competent players…my son, 7, is a commander grade 2…it’s a good arena to teach them about fair play and teamwork and not quitting when things aren’t going in your favor.
Also, my opinion, anybody that looks at several different M rated games and says Mortal Kombat=Gears of War=Duke Nukem Forever=GTA=Dead Space…= Halo? Seriously? Halo would be a Teen game if it weren’t for the ESRB board slapping a M on anything that has an ounce of blood to it. Transformers War for Cybertron has more bleeding, dismemberments, and overall violence than halo does…only difference there is they’re robots…and these are cyborgs…
My buddy came over last night we played… he sucks badly like between 0 - -3 kills. I wake up this morning and I’m credit banned. What the hell? My GT ehnuss gerbil he was playing on my brothers GT couchgaurdian24. My banning is unjust and I would like it removed. Yes people do suck at this game and if your going to ban people because they suck make a social slayer playlist, it’s not like we were playing Arena.

My buddy leaves and I continue the game btw my guest quit he wasn’t still in the game AFK. So therefore if I quit I lose, I continue to play the game I lose = lose lose situation. I will not enjoy my ban, remove it. WOW I thought bungie were nazis

Your NOT aloud to do it, it doesn’t matter if your friend leaves and you lose, it’s one game, unless your somehow already on the edge of the quit ban, leave.
You got banned, it’s not going away, wait it out.

Just for clarification the reason i was banned was because I quit firefight matches because i think its a little harsh to be deranked for that especially for a first time offense. If it is, I still think its quite harsh especially when i don’t afk through matches i just quit before the game even loads.
Rattlesnake6986 you are banned for idling in 1 , 2 , 3 . 5 , 6 matches. And no…they don’t control neither you Xbox LIVE Gold Subscription nor the game. But they control OUR online experience and this is ruined by idle players.
friendly tip: don’t spam the board with your posts. post everything in one post. take your lump of salt and the lesson with it and don’t boost/quit games again. play something else while you wait for your credit earning abilities to be reinstated.
