If you broke the rules, then there is nothing you can do. If you boosted or exploited the game somehow then you deserve what you got. Let that be a lesson not to cheat. Get a new xbox live membership and continue playing. You’re only a field marshal too, it isn’t that bad ranking up. If you get credit banned at Mythic and up, you may want to reconsider doing whatever it is that got you banned. Ban lengths will only get more severe if you are caught again.
I was recently banned from earning credits because i “left too many games.” I don’t feel i should have been penalized for this and think it is rather ridiculous to be cut off from point earning because of leaving games. when a match is selected and people do their annoying little vote shuffle where they select every different game over and over it gets aggravating when they land on a game variant i do not like and then am forced to stay in until it begins for there is no ability to leave prior to it starting once it has been selected. I would like to know who i talk to to get this removed or appealed because i think there are too many issues involved with that and other factors that aren’t taken into account.
myself and my buddy canadiantac0 both have gotten a temporary credit ban today/yesterday, we are just wondering what they are for, if you could explain and/or revise them we would apreciate it.

> I just recently purchased the Star Wars console and got everything moved over from previous console. Went in to play Halo Reach, which is the only game I play online, and starting having internet issues. The game would act like it was loading but would all the sudden drop before game play could even begin. This happened a few times and I got mad and shut the game off. The next day went in to see if the same thing would happen, when an message came up saying that I had dropped too many games recently and that I would not be able to start matchmaking. Was not sure what this meant so I called Xbox to see what was going on. They told me that I had been banned from matchmaking. Not sure what was all going on with the internet but I contacted them and was told that a fiber optic cable had been cut around the time I was trying to play. How do I fix this so I can go back to matchmaking?

> ALSO WHEN TALKING TO XBOX THEY TOLD ME I NEEDED TO GO TO BUNGIE.NET AND POST TO THEIR FORUM FOR HELP. HOWEVER, BUNGIE.NET HAS POSTED THAT AS OF 3/31/2012 THEY ARE NO LONGER HELPING WITH GAMING ISSUE AND LIST HALO.XBOX.COM AS THE SITE TO GO.

Bans you are talking about (quit bans) should only last 10 minutes, if it lasts any longer, it isn’t a quit ban.
> i am banned for 2 weeks my problem my gold expires in a week Please remove my ban i need to rank up
Your ban won’t be removed, you broke the rules, you are suffering the consequences.

You don’t get more than a 10 minute matchmaking ban for quitting, your credit ban was due to this game: Anniversary Slayer on Prisoner
Your ban will last 24-48 hours if it is a first time offence, anything longer tends to be 1-2 weeks.
> myself and my buddy canadiantac0 both have gotten a temporary credit ban today/yesterday, we are just wondering what they are for, if you could explain and/or revise them we would apreciate it.
CANADIAN TAC0 was banned for AFKing in this game: TU Assault on Hemorrhage
RainbowDashPWN was banned for boosting: Anniversary Sniper on Headlong
Your bans will last 24-48 hours for first time offences, longer than that is usually 1-2 weeks.
Hey,
It’s my first time being credit banned and it has been over 48 hours since the ban has been set. The messages that keep appearing on the halo: Reach main menu is that i’m console and account banned from earning credits but it only says temperarily. If anyone can give me an estimate of how long “Temperarily” is, it would be much appreiciated.
Thanks! My gamertag is Hxnd.
I wanted to know what time I was banned as I received a weeks console and MM ban from Halo 3 and wondered when it will be lifted? I also wanted to know exactly what I was banned for?

If it still hasn’t expired after 48 hours, it is likely a 1-2 week ban.

You won’t get an official response here regarding bans, just mainly why you were banned, none of us know the exact time you were banned.
The community members can’t actually tell you why you were banned for Halo 3 because game history isn’t on Waypoint and it is disabled on Bungie.net.
You would be better off PMing Total Sellout
When i got home last night it said that i have been console banned temporarily. But I can’t figure out what I did I have never boosted or cheated so I can’t figure out what happened. Does anyone know how long it takes for console bans to end?
This game looked very AFK friendly: Slayer DMRs on Tempest
So does this game, TU BTB Elite Slayer on Breakneck
Your ban is likely to last 24-48 hours if it is a first time ban.
ok thanks, my friends said they played a few games yesterday too. So maybe they left the games a lot or something. And yeah this is the first time its happened.
Ugghhh, alright. I guess i’m playing gamebattles until its over
thanks anyways.
A little while ago I was boosting and got Temporarily Console Banned and Account banned for earning credits, how long do they last? :]
Next Question - What are some ways to get reset? Does it have to be something “major” to get your rank reset?
i have been palying halo reach for about two weeks now and it has been band from earning credits twice, but it only happens when i paly two players on my xbox like with another account or have someone play on as a guest, does anyone know why this would be happening… thanks
First off, welcome to the forums!
Secondly, wrong forum.
Thirdly, were you boosting for cR? That will get you credit banned.

They tend to last 24-48 houts for first time offences, anything longer is usually a 1-2 week ban.
As for rank resets, I believe they were always manually done, the ban hammer will never reset you.

Was your guest on his own Xbox LIVE account or playing as KING QUINN92(1)?
I have recently become credit banned while playing Anniversary FFA with my girlfriend. She does not own an Xbox, but I created her a live account. She usually gets 1-2 kills a game because she is lacking in experience. But she is playing the whole game and I don’t even kill her during the game because I like to give her a chance to get better. Is there anyway someone can look into this issue? It is really taking away from her learning the game and taking the fun out of it by not being able to earn credits. It would be much appreciated if this problem is looked into… Thanks

xoxoLACEYxoxo has a few zero kill games which picks up as AFKing activity, this one for example: TU FFA Slayer DMRs on Pinnacle.
First time bans tend to last 24-48 hours.
This is the second time this has happened? Will the ban be longer? Why would she get banned if she was actually playing but lacking in skill? Is there anyway to avoid getting banned by someone being “bad” at Reach?

Don’t double post and wait next time for a reply.
Second time bans tend to last 1-2 weeks.
