Your credit ban is temporary, it will expire usually with 24-48 hours of it being given.
I am here to say i was just recently banned for no real reason a short time ago for quitting MP and i am here to justify that i have only quit 5 matches the rest has been my schools lousy Wi-Fi Internet. Now before say just use an Ethernet cable the way my school has our Internet now the my XBOX WILL NOT REGISTER IT, because we have multiple servers. They Also have all the Internet in the dorms messed up because of people still having their own private routers, and they are installing camera’s to try to get students stuff safe better than they have. Now while i am dealing with lag in some games its now getting to the point where in some matches i cant get more than 5 kills. When i usually have have at least 10. i am at my braking point and about to sell all my halo games because i can’t enjoy them BECAUSE of stuff that is outside of my control. Please fix the issue of me getting banned every time i turn around. This will be very helpful and let me enjoy my gaming with 343 much better.

To be perfectly fair and to not sound like stuck up, I advise you don’t play until it is fixed, because it won’t be fixed and along with your own gameplay, you are wrecking others’ fun by lagging out of games.
As for being banned for quitting, they are only temporary 10 minute bans, not credit bans.

unfortunately the school has no intention on fixing the issue until it tur.ns into a 4 year school, and i am also sorry cause it didn’t matter how u phrase your answer with that choice of words it made you sound stuck up and i am taking it as is.

I think they took out the lag-out as quitting. I recently got the ‘probe’ and when i lagged out one game, i thought i was banned. but when i went back to play matchmaking, the message didn’t show up(all those lag-outs made me change my GZ to Pro and never got another lag since)
I left my game to run to the store for like 10 minutes. When I got back it said my account had been banned from earning credits. Why am I banned and for how long. I am one or two games away from completeing my weekly and daily challenges but I don’t want to complete them and not get the points.
Hello. I was temporarily banned from earning credits, and it has been over 24 hours since the ban was enacted, yet I am still banned. I’m not arguing the ban or anything, I’m just curious since everything I’ve read says the bans are only 24 hours. Am I some strange error in the system, or when, perhaps, will my credit ban be lifted?
If my suspicions sound strange, by the way, I was playing with someone who was doing exactly what I did to get credit banned. He was credit banned as well, but only for 24 hours… yet I am STILL credit banned D:
Your question confuses me. I’m not arguing the ban. I never said I didn’t do something to get banned. What I’m saying, is that we both did the exact same thing, and while he was credit banned for 24 hours and then lifted, mine has yet to lift. 48 hours will roll over sometime tonight.

First time bans tend to last 24-48 hours.
Anything after that is 1-2 weeks, if it hasn’t rolled over after 48 hours, expect a longish wait.

If it is a first time offence, it tends to last 24-48 hours.
I have been temporarily banned twice today because “quitting early from games”. Several times today connection has dropped and games have ended prematurely and every time this happens I get warned or “temporarily banned”. Surely this is some issue with the monitoring process of actual quitting. A connection issue is not the same as electing to leave a game prematurely. I hope that this can be resolved asap.

It is intentional to be quit banned when you lag out of games, your team is left with one man down, meaning they have to work harder to get the win.
It is unfair on your team and you ruin the experience for them, so Bungie programmed it to quit ban you.
It is unclear whether or not I was the one who lagged out of a game to be fair. In the last instance playing SWAT it was shown that we were the only players left as everyone else had quit and we were rewarded for finishing the game. This makes no sense why I was penalised.
