I just got a temp ban ( the first of any type of ban I have had ) the warnings were coming up each and every time I attempted to play Reach , {you have quit too much blah blah blah } but I feel this is not true and the temp ban came about when I had quit zero games how can this be justified??
Can you get banned for using custom challenges in campaing and getting alot of credits for it?
sooo…I’m not going to try and say I wasn’t in the wrong and I’m all innocent. I’m more-than-likely guilty of my ban with having a guest signed in and being absent…afk…whatev…(working on achievements is hard when no one has certain dlc gosh!) 
haha anyways…i’m just wondering how long this is going to last 'cuz…it’s been probably…4 days since? i reallllly would like to continue playing. legit. the swing hurts. i got the weekly challenge and no credits. You likely lagged out of a game which counts as a quit.
Either way, quit bans are only 10 minutes long.

It is likely a 1-2 week ban.
thanks moa…i figured as much…damn…i wish there was a timer so i knew exactly how long i was screwed for…oh well…just keep hoping i guess.

When I get back I go upstairs to play some matchmaking and on my screen it says “THIS CONSOLE HAS BEEN BANNED FROM PLAYING MATCHMAKING FOR ONE WEEK.”, “YOU HAVE LEFT TOO MANY MATCHMAKING GAMES AND IF YOU LEAVE AGAIN YOU WILL BE TEMORARILY BANNED.”, and “THIS ACCOUNT HAS BANNED FROM PLAYING MATCHMAKING FOR ONE WEEK.” Is this necessary for leaving too many games? This has never happened before. NOTE: I ONLY STATE EVERY DETAIL TO CLEARLY STATE WHAT HAPPENED.

My GT is WiLlUm546 I was just credit banded for no reason I was not afking i do not mod (wouldn’t take the risk) I don’t credit boost I was playing with my wife (KAYTEE1027) my cousins girlfriend (KrazyDevilKat) and another person (AsAsInMaN1) we were playing and my wife and cousins girlfriend are not that good but they are still playing and learning I shouldn’t get punished because my friends are learning
So I was banned just now for quitting? It was actually getting booted for running someone over in the wart hog. Here’s the problem I have though with the whole “quit ban” or “betrayal” thing. It doesn’t work…EVER.
In every case…EVERY CASE…I am either driving or shooting rockets and some moron jumps in front of me or stands in front. Then, if I shoot or drive and someone happens to be in the way, they die which credits me with a “betrayal.” In EVERY CASE they get to boot me and you know as well as I that if someone is given the chance to boot or forgive, they will boot every time regardless of who is at fault. Bad system. BAD SYSTEM.
In EVERY CASE I get booted. Now, people betray me constantly and I get no notification to boot them so obviously there is a major flaw with your betrayal/quit detection. So of course, I just got banned. First time I’ve ever been banned from this game. I play it all the time, pay the money for the games, and pay for XBOX Live.
Fix the system. I enjoy this game but I do not enjoy getting punished for something that I’m not doing. I am not betraying on purpose EVER but I am getting booted for things that are natural to the game…such as rockets killing teammates accidentally. No one forgives so the system has a huge flaw in that it is dependent on players to be truthful, which you all know they aren’t. Given the chance to boot someone, they do it. No matter what. BAD SYSTEM. BAD SYSTEM.
How long will this stupid ban last anyway? There is no information…just the omnipotent message box that says I’m banned. Surely we can come up with something better…
When I play matchmaking on halo reach I am always muted and I can’t talk to anybody anymore. I’m not sure if this constitutes as a ban that you can remove but I think it’s pretty ridiculous to mute me with no notice what so ever. I play halo reach all the time and love playing team objectives mainly and I can’t even communicate with my team mates now or meat friends as I can’t talk to anybody. All I am saying is if I did somehow deserve being muted a warnings would have corrected my behaviour. I would like you to remove my mute if possible and please remove the hole system as it’s obviously flawed for letting the community decide if you should be muted or not. For people who routinely play Mlg will always get a mute ban under this system as a known strategy is to mute the opposing team. I hope you take the time to consider this, and if people really don’t want to talk to me they will mute me.
Hi, I have only been playing Reach for a couple weeks and I suck. This is my 1st Halo game. I have a credit earning ban on my account. I have read the posts and I assume my ban is because a guest of mine, who was more frustrated with his poor performance than I, would keep AFK’ing (talking on his phone, talking to my kids for hints & tips, computer searching). O.K. I can see how that applies to the Banhammer from other members posts, but how do you tell how long the ban is? It has been on for 4 days now, but I havn’t been playing. So, how do you tell how long the ban is, does the ban only count days that you are playing or calender days, and what are you supposed to do when all your teammates quit a match and leave you against insurmountable odds which of course leads to zero kills? Thanx.

My GT is niki hai an today I got banned.
It is because I left too many matches.
But i didn’t left them voluntarily. In most of the cases i got kicked out of the match before it starts or within the first two minutes.
This is not fair.
If I do something forbidden and I get banned it is ok. But in this case I shouldn’t be banned.

No idea what happened in this game: AFK Game?, KrazyDevilKat looked to be AFK, although, the game only lasted 2 minutes and 5 seconds, that may have been the reason why she received a ban, therefore console banning the rest of you.

You don’t get banned for quitting for more than 10 minutes.
Is there a pop up saying you have been temporarily banned from earning credits?
Or just you have been temporarily banned from matchmaking due to quitting?

The mute system is flawed, yes, but it works like this, if a lot of people mute you in a certain period of time, it will auto mute you for a certain amount of time, although no one knows how long.
The system is unlikely to be removed, it would require a TU.

The ban is likely to last 1-2 weeks, it will countdown even if you are not playing so don’t worry about that.
And as for all your team quitting and you getting zero kills, the AFK banning system is flawed, it doesn’t consider that players are simply bad at the game or are having a rough time, but it tracks it over three matches on the back end, for your team to quit three matches all within a few days and you to receive zero kills on all three matches is very rare.

This game: Grifball Dash on Inspiration, looked VERY boost friendly, it is likely you were banned for boosting or helping others boost with AFK guests.
Your ban, if a first time offence, is likely to last 24-48 hours.

You were banned for lagging out of games, which although sometimes is out of your control, ruins others experience as you leave your team with a man down, also the game can’t tell between those who lag out and force themselves to lag out.
It is only temporary (10 minutes).

I am not a Mod, it is unlikely one will post here, but I can tell you why you were banned.
Your guest was AFK in this game, or at least had AFK activity: SWAT on Powerhouse
If it is a first time offence, it is likely to last 24-48 hours.
