So I just got credit banned Thursday and still am not able to receive credits. This is my first offense so I just want to know an explanation. I missed out on challenges that I have completed but haven’t received credits for. I heard it is 24 hours for the first offense, so can someone explain, and yes I was with friends trying to get achievements that are basically impossible to get if you can’t quit games either. I go into living dead everyday and never get a defiant map so that I can get the all alone achievement. No one has the dlc and I really am tired of playing infection over and over just because I can’t get a map I want. They should give us the achievement just for getting the map. Then when I quit because I just want to keep trying to get the map I want I get in trouble. It’s not like I’m leaving my team down! I never quit when I play team based games. Look at my service record. It’s really ridiculous. Then I got into squad dlc which doesn’t offer infection. So what am I suppose to do?
Can someone please explain the ban? As for the achievement, do I need to just keep playing till I get lucky and get a party with dlc?
Any help regarding this situation will be highly appreciated.
Were you boosting achievements in Matchmaking? If you did, I think that is why you can’t get any credits right now. I’ll check your game history.
Update: I looked into your game history and found a number of games where you landed no kills or had minus kills. The system can count this as AFK activity.
Enjoy your ban. You deserve it. If you’re going to go somewhere, turn your xbox off or simply leave the game.

Can I ask where did you see my game history because I really can’t find it?
But yes I did boost 1 achievement because I tried for weeks to get it and still haven’t received it. It really sucks, I don’t want to keep playing infection games over and over because I can’t get the map I want. I deserve this because of that? Great. If you can tell me how long this ban will be though I would appreciate it because it also sucks being clueless.

I typed your username into the cute little search bar to the right of where it says “Forums”.
You boosted achievements, that’s breaking the rules. Plus the AFK activity. Whether those were in the same game, doesn’t matter. It’s still considered an offense.
I do not know how long the ban lasts, as I have never been banned myself nor do I know anyone who has been. You may need to contact another member about that.
Hi I would just like to ask why I’m not earning any credits. It doesn’t say I’m banned but it didn’t say I reached the credit limit. I don’t mean to cause trouble but please reply. Thank you.
I must confess, I didn’t read 130 pages. I stopped after 4 or 5. Microsoft seems to indicate this is where I should take my concern. I wished for a number to call, but they refused to provide it. I just got done pestering Microsoft for a half hour on this. I think this is something that could be headed off with a simple conversation to the one making these decisions. I also don’t really like posting this publicly, but I reckon the forum will have to do for now.
I was playing with my son earlier this evening. We were in an invasion slayer match. My son was driving the tank. I was on turret. Another fellow thought it was a good idea to stand on the tank and protect it with a sniper. We were chatting with him over xbox at the time. My son fired a shot, and it hit the guy who was on the top of the tank and blew us all up. The game quit working at that point. We couldn’t play any more match making. It said we quit to much. The last time either of us quit was when my son quit earlier in the week, because he decided to play before school, and didn’t have time. The fellow who was standing on the tank, then invited us to a party. He started a custom game, but it wouldn’t even let us play a custom game so long as we were in the party. So, we quit Reach for awhile and started ODST. After an hour or so, I sent him to bed, and decided to check on match making. It does seem to work. However, I got a rather nasty warning, saying if I quit a game again, I’d be banned. I want to avoid having that happen. I would worry less about it, if it wasn’t for the situation leading up to this, being we didn’t quit a game then. I’m concerned now, we might get banned over something other than quitting.
Oh, let me toss one more thing in. Since it seems that getting 0 kills is an issue for accounts. (having read the first few pages) I have a 5 year old that sees her dad and bigger brother playing, and just begs to play. I must admit, I’m quite itchy about letting a 5 year old girl play a shoot them up game. I’m a little old fashioned and think cow boys and indians kind of stuff is mostly for boys and not so much for girls, but once in a blue moon, I let her play. She does have her own xbox live gamer tag, and is not a guest, but she’s gotten something like 7 kills in her entire time playing. We usually only let her play swat, because that’s the one format that lets a kid get away with the odd lucky shot. She was NOT playing tonight. So, if you’re reviewing the account and see fireproof cat with a few 0 kill games, that’s why. It’s a 5 year old girl.
Oh, and for the schmucks who did get killed by fire proof cat, you got owned by a 5 year old girl. Hah. I’m just joking, but I figured a bit of levity couldn’t hurt. (the 5 year old girl part is real, the schmucks part is the joke. )
My girlfriend (zizzo15) and I were playing some casual sniper games this evening and within the last couple of kills before the game ended we both received a message saying our credits were permanently banned. After the game was over and we got back to the lobby, another two messages popped up: one saying that the XBOX was temporarily banned from earning credits, and that our accounts were banned from earning them. To determine if it was legit or not, we played a game and neither of us gained credits. I am unsure as to why this as happened, as I do not believe we were in the wrong for anything (correct me if the otherwise is true). Any help would be appreciated, thanks

The problem is that she wasn’t AFK in the game, though. She was right next to me and was playing the entire time. I also don’t know why F4NT4ST1C4 received the ban. The message of account and XBOX bans came up twice, indicating that it was both.
Well I’ve been all over the net the past hour. First I went to bungie.net to get some help, then bungie lead me to support.xbox.com/, where I met David K. A representative that helped me get here, I was banned about 4 days ago and it was completely just, I’m not here to rant about how it was unfair or cruel, because it was fair, and I’m not here to try to claim that I have “learned my lesson”. I am here to try and get some help on this question. Me and 3 of my friends boosted, probably 3-4 grifball games, but that is a lot. So no doubt I knew we were going to be banned, it was just a matter of time. However, all 3 of them were unbanned at about 20-40 hours after the initial notice of the ban, mine however wasn’t, and I think I know why. About a year ago I was banned for passing the “cR cap”, a cap that stops a player from earning credits after they passed it. However, the cap a year ago was only at 60k credits, and being the teenager that I was, I played and played and played to promote with all my friends, Not even knowing about a cR cap. So I guess what I’m trying to say is, when will my account be unbanned, if ever, because I think that the ban from a year ago is a little outdated, and an insufficient variable on the period of this current ban. Thanks a lot. -iWreckPete
I haven’t quit a game for at least 2 days yet I keep having “You are banned from playing because of quitting” messages when I start up Reach. I just played 3 FF doubles games fully and decided to try anniversary and the stupid system says I’m banned. If I was quitting games I would understand, but I’m not. Is my Halo account name corrupted or something? If a tech guru could check my Halo record account and explain what’s going on it would help.
Thanks
I haven’t do anything what is showing on bungie.net/ban, but yesterday night i get a message on my xbox 360, that i got banned for one week until
the 16th of april. I played normally Halo 3 with my friend and won a lot of games but how i said. We search normally in matchmaking Team Slayer. I think 10 games an we only lost 1 game. Before this I played lonely Team Snipersnand i loose all games, because I getting bad Teammates but this is normally and no problem. So I can’t understand why I get banned from matchmaking and why also my console is banning too.
I hope you can help me.
