It usually lasts 24-48 hours for first time offences.
For some reason i was credit banned. I didn’t credit glitch or anything. All i have been doing is custom challenges. I think it’s possible someone hacked my account. 343, Bungie, or whoever is in charge of the game please help or un-credit ban me. I would really appreciate it.
Hello I have been permanitaly banned from halo 3 matchmaking. I know this is the reach thread but there is no halo 3 one. I was in team slayer playing with my friend and another person on my Xbox and in the middle of the game it said I was banned permanitaly. I have done nothing wrong here, all I want to do is play halo 3 online until halo 4 please allow me to do so. I have called xboxs support and they said to post it in this forum so don’t tell me I can’t post it here. Please unban my console and maybe ban some derankers or something. There is tones in h3.
There was no reason for the ban and although I am posting here, I do not care that it was a 15 min ban, I care that it happened and it was a mistake on the system’s part. It does not matter what high regard is given to the system, it is just that, a system and it is prone to errors in any given situation. No computer has an efficiency of 99.9999% so I suggest you change that.
ANYWAYS I would like an email with the details of your error. If you claim you are in the right, I can upload a video of the match and prove to you whatever you may ask for.

Link the game here, explain what happened, they have no e-mail for such issues.
As for quit bans, the occur after you are on probation and either YOU lag out or you quit.

we started a firefight because his Xbox is cutting on and off by itself and he already abandoned me in a few games, soon after start he DCs and i am left alone, i finish the game i die 3 times and then i get my credits everything is fine, but when he rejoins it says that I am banned not him, but me. i leave party and check on my own and i was indeed banned.
it was fire fight on corvette and i tagged it “banned” or “Ban”
and then after i check again the warning has RE appeared

Firefight lagging out is very unclear.
In Firefight, when you go black screen and everyone else lags out (in your case, your friend), it is 70% likely, you lagged out and was put into your own game.
A big way to check this is looking at your Game History for the game you ‘lagged’ out of, if it says DNF for you, you lagged out.
It forces you back into your own game instead of kicking you out to the main menu.

ok you’re not really understanding, he was the one that logged out, he even left the party. i was online the entire time, the game itself has me as online my status never changed not DNF, once he logged back on and got back into the party, the ban went into effect. i never lagged out there was NO lag present. it was a matter of his XBOX turning off on him and then me getting the ban. once he left the game he came back online before i finished and we spoke a bit. if i would have lagged out there would have been Black screen, THERE WAS NONE no black screen at all he just logged out (random death log out even happened)

Next time you try to make an argument, will you try to include this information.
Either way, you will end up running into a wall, it is a 10 minute ban from Matchmaking, if you were not qutting games to start with to get onto probation, it wouldn’t have happened, I assume by the time you even posted your first post, the matchmaking ban was done.

While I appreciate your response, I do not appreciate your uncouth manor of communication. I am posting here because I indeed did quit but never did it maliciously only whenever my friends came online and I wished to join them. In addition, you assume I did this knowing the consequences. In the future extend the proper courtesy that your posters are extending to you.

Um first, jokes on you, Moa doesn’t work for 343, nobody who gives responses here does. We do this as a curtousey. 2nd, if I drive to NY and break a law that they have that I don’t have in PA, it doesn’t absolve me from punishment. Ignorance of the law is no excuse. 3rd, if your friends come online, aside from you just starting a game, you couldn’t finish it out? 4th, I got a quit ban once. You have to quit games constantly, not just one a day. So you quit quite a bit more than your letting on. And lastly, your very first post came off a little ridiculous. Like you don’t care it’s only 15 mins bla bla bla…And that the message keeps appearing…Guess what, everytime you quit a game while it is on a quit ban, it makes it longer. So stop quiting games until it goes away. Or it’ll keep getting longer. And again, your bans over, why are you still going on about it?

Ok. So i was playing my regular matchmaking game on Halo: Reach. I decided to play The Arena. I was banned two times before for quitting. But, anyways. i was playing then i got my teammates and enemies. Then for some reason i lost the connection with all of them. Then it was only me. The game continued. And it ended the moment it started because there’s no players. I go back to the lobby. Since there was no one there i left. And as i was gonna play again. it tells me im banned. You lagged out of the game, most times it simply looks like all the other players quit and leaves you in your own lobby.
