So my account was idling on game servers because I kept becoming distracted and I was about to get off but I got temporality banned from earning credits I understand why the system did, and agree with it, even though it was not my intention to be idling so much. But I was curious to how long my ban is 24 hours wait until I can earn credits? or? So if anyone can help that be great. Thanks!
So my account got temp banned from earning credits cause I was idling a bit from the game a lot and didn’t get off. I was curious to how long this temp ban would last and if I should be worried about anything else? Its intentional but I still agree with what the system did.
> You weren’t banned bacause of you sucking at the game. This has been usad as a defence ever since the banhammer first started making the rounds and it’s still not true. What you might get banned for is AFKíng for instance (the system can tell if you are doing so even if you put something on your analog stick to make your character move). If you were unjustly banned I’m sure the issue will be taken care of any moment now. Otherwise you’ll just have to wait it out. And next time be more careful.
False, the ban hammer can NOT track if you were moving in-games, it is a fact that players who are bad at Reach can get banned for AFKing, when they are truly playing.

First time bans tend to last 24-48 hours.
Hello, can somebody please point me in the right direction of who I need to speak to about being banned?
I love playing Halo, I’ve been a huge fan since the first game. I started playing on xbox live about a year ago and have had nothing but positive things to say. I was banned 2 nights ago March 28, it said I was temporarily banned from earning credits. Since the ban, I’ve read up on the rules several times. I don’t know what I did to get banned. I’m sure I did something wrong, I know I would not get banned for no reason, but I’d just like to know what I did so I don’t do it again. The Halo games are really the only games I play and its been a real bummer not being able to play these last few days. Again, I’m sure i did something wrong, but I’d just like to speak to some 343industry mediator who can explain to me what I did to get banned. I definately don’t want to get banned again and I’ll make sure I do an even better job at following every rule so I can continue to play htese great games. you never answered the question I asked before, is metalgearviper1 a GT on your console? If so, your console and all GTs on it got banned. Otherwise you have to have another GT on there that got banned and your GT is feeling the effects.
yes metalgearviper1 is a GT on my console. Him and I play on the same xbox. So he’s the one that got banned and I’m feeling the effects of it?

Okay I got mute banned a looooooooong long time ago. I was assuming it happened because I posted a forum on Bungie.net about asking how to get free music. It’s been easily more than a year, probably two, and I still can’t talk. It’s only on Halo. I can still talk to my friends though.

If an account on your console is AFK, the console itself will be banned. If you’re in the same party (playing together), all accounts in that party will be banned. If this is your first ban, it should be for 24 hours. If it’s your second ban, it might be for 48 hours up to a week or two.
i had been warned not to quit any games and i have not. i got booted because i accidently killed someone on my team. uncoverrealityy and jerzsiam. please unban.

Getting kicked counts as quitting, it is to stop you from betraying as often, quit bans only last 10 minutes, just wait it out.

He tried playing but his controller wasn’t working properly. We deeply aologize for this. This was the frist time we were banned. And we are still banned, and its been 3 days since the incident.

First time bans don’t last longer than 48 hours, you must have had another offence in the past.
Either way, it is likely a one or two week ban.

If the other team rage quit, it would have showed them as DNF on the stats.

MOA, if you look at the time on that game it says 00 secs for game time. And that is also only one game, from the 28th that he had 0 kills, every game after that he had kills. If that was a bannable game, he would have been banned on the 28th or 29th.
Since the Waypoint game tracking system is incredibly difficult to deal with (slow, and having to go back for every game) I gave up after looking for 30 mins. However to
SGTKIKZAZZHOLE: I’m going to also assume you have one or more other GTs on your console. I noticed you play alot of games with killer540789, and I am guessing there are other GTs on your console. Either you can accept that one of them did something and got you banned, or list the GTs and we can check it out for you.

I have no reply to the 00 seconds thing but the ban hammer only ban you after it has an accurate reading over the course of 3 games, meaning you need to AFK three times in your whole life cycle in Reach, then it will decide if you need to banned or not, it isn’t always instant, never will be, it can take days, weeks, or sometimes just a few hours.
