“No one is singling you out. If you get a ban there is a 99.9999% chance it was deserved.”
This caught my eye. When you get banned for 10-15 minutes because a crybaby chose to boot you over an accidental betrayal, was it deserved? More than 90% of the time, a betrayal is accidental.
My overall question is this: If you get too many temporary bans, will you be banned permanently?
> > > > > so for one game of afk due to who knows what while my fiance sister was playing not us you can get banned so your telling me if an ancident happens and someone leaves there xbox console for ONE game (say there baby starts throwing up) you get banned? an immediate response would be appreciated.

> either way you get a ban and like the post above sometimes you get lag droped from games i have friends that never quit games because they like getting the cr bonuses in slot machine for staying in games but poor internet an server problems have made them get bans for leaving games when the system droped them usuaily it happens on weekends when there are alot of people on

I have never had to use that setting, I never drop out of games any more since I upgraded my internet.

You will never be banned permanently from a lot of quit bans, however, if you mean temporary cR bans, yes, it will lead up to a perma ban in the future.
How do i know when the credit ban ends and how do you know what is considered ban worthy?
“but didn’t know I couldnt do that”
What did you do then to warrant your ban, you clearly know.
Either way, first time offences tend to last 24-48 hours.
If this is my first time why is it lasting so long? I did’nt mod or anthing of that nature. I cant even tell how long i have to wait since theres no warning that what i did was ban worthy. I’ll sertainly never do it again!
It’s been seven days
I was playing griffball and the other players said to let me kill them and they would let me win. After that i got a message saying i was banned!

If it has been seven days, it is likely a 2 week cR ban.
EDIT: You were banned for AFKing: Game.
> I looked it up on youtube and that was the first i heard that they could or even would ban people!
They have always been able to ban, the banhammer does most of the work behind the scenes banning people automatically, but bans can be done manually, in this, you were AFKing, your ban was justified.
I dont understand how i got banned, see i was playing grifball (which im not the best at) and i kept getitng placed in games with people that knew what they were doing. So i went on a spree of getting 0 to maybe 1 or 2 kills a game for about 17 games (which was a daily challange to complete 17 games) so even though i dident do good for my kill death i thought that besause of how fast these games are being played ill stick with it to get the challange. Then as soon as i got the 17th game complete it said i was banned from getting credits on both my console and account which isnt fair because i was playing the whole time trying to kill the other team even though i wasnt good at doing that i still planted a few bombs…and ive been playing Reach since its come out and in no way was i trying to cheat becuase i respect this game. But now i cannot play or enjoy it due to this ban from credits. I was wondering if this ban could possibly be reversed or shortened becuase i am looking forward to playing again.
Thanks for your time, please respond if possible.
Unfortunatly, you were banned for having AFK behavior. Getting very few or no kills will result in a ban. Always make sure you are getting kills. The ban hammer is unable to determine if you are AFK, or if just not very good at the game. It is a very bad way to attract new players when you run the risk of getting banned for learning. Hopefully, Halo 4 will change this. In the future, try to make sure you are active, and getting kills. This will help you avoid any bans in the future.
Well thanks for the reply. I just dont think that is fair considering i was running trying to plant the bomb in grifball. It eventually got to the point where kills were pointless and bomb plants were the only way to do something… So do you know how long this ban is for? and is it not reverseable?

If this is your first offense, the ban will last 24-48 hours. If the ban isn’t lifted by then, it’s likely the ban will last two weeks. I have never been banned for anything like that. I try to keep myself out of any gametypes that could result in getting banned for actually playing the game. It’s not directly your fault, you just fell into a major flaw in the system. Don’t feel bad, it happens sometimes.
This is terrible…i wish a bungie offical could see this to show them how this is corrupt. I dont understand why they wouldnt fix this cuz now i cant enjoy this game and if the ban is for 2 weeks they could potentially lose a Halo fan by just how unfair this is. Thanks for your help though
There were a lot of mistakes made with this game. Much of it is the result of sloppy programming. Answer me this, if credits didn’t exist in this game, would you still enjoy playing it? Reach is basically a learn from your mistakes kind of game now. Halo 4 is just around the corner so the likelyhood of any of these mistakes getting fixed is slim to none. Bungie was pretty much done with Halo after Halo 3, but was still under contract with Microsoft for another 2 games. ODST was pretty good, but when they got to Reach, it’s almost like they just wanted to be done and over with it. I actually kind of stopped playing myself. I guess I got kind of tired of all of the updates that were made that didn’t fix any of the problems with this game. Instead of fixing the betrayal system, a new playlist gets added. New map packs get added, yet the new maps never show up. I can go on for days.
I like the fact that i get to earn myself credits, and i get to show what i have worked for and if it wasnt for a ranking system like that the game wouldent be has fun, i guess i could say. So if they are going to punish me for somthing i didnt desearve then i dont see the point in wasting my time on another halo product.
You can blame a gentleman by the name of Sage Merill for this my good sir.
Who is that man you speak of?
My sister GT- LittleTiff24 and my wife GT- SpiderChelsea got the ban hammer last night (I didn’t know what it was for or even what was happening, I thought there might have been a server glitch) Anyhow, I researched it and it turns out it was because they were AFK… AFC, but the bummer thing is they were cooking dinner while playing and then something happened ( a fight between my two sisters) now they are banned.
I understand when people do this to cheat and junk; but it was a misunderstanding. How long will it last? Can it be reversed?
Not only that; but haven’t you guys played Call of Duty? If you are idle, it kicks you from the lobby when you aren’t doing anything hint hint
Accidents happen, you know?
Hello,
I just started playing Halo again a few days ago and have played a lot today, then randomly, I just got banned from earning credits because my guests and my friends guests didn’t really understand how to play. I never heard anything about bans so it didn’t really bother me, but now I’m banned from earning credits for 2 weeks. AFK’s on guests shouldn’t be a 2 week ban.
Please fix these issues. Thank you.
