I’m not saying you have a bad connection at all, the easy solution is to set a search for a good connection, then the game will prioritise it over anything else.
No one is immune to having their connection go dodgy for the odd moment, it happens a lot to some of my friends who have amazing connections, happens in customs and matchmaking a like, just because speedtest.net tells you your connection at the time of testing, doesn’t mean you are immune, stop trying to blame others for your issues.

The first ban tends to last 24-48 hours.
As for policies, boosting achievements IS allowed, as long as ALL players are PLAYING and not AFK guests or controllers, mainly make sure at least each player has one kill.

me and my fiance (xbox live gamer tag snugglmonkey ) went to hop on halo last night and recieved a message stating that our xbox console and our accounts were banned for two weeks we havent even been home to play my fiances sister and husband were watching our house for a week. I am wondering why we have this ban message and if this is a mistake then im sure we will no longer be playing this game that eliminates the whole purpose of playing to earn your credits. If we have to we will take this mistake of injustice to every media source available for this is the only game we really play on our console. im sure many gaming sites and news forums would like to know if the glitch in your system taking away from the playability of your games. please help us in resolving this ban. An immediate response would be greatly appreciated.

You haven’t been banned because the program follows a pettern, and I have personally noticed from checking over 50+ player histories, it’s usually 3 games in a row with 0 kills. So again, go 5 without kills, and you’ll get banned.

I asked for someone reputable. Somebody that repeatedly insults others isn’t what I would consider reputable. I got my answer in addition to your snarky comments.
Anyway, yes you have proven my point. My point simply was you can get banned for playing the game, and as you have told me multiple times you can. I wasn’t trying to justify going negative in the double digits multiple games in a row. I honestly don’t see how you can debate this, he was playing the game and got banned. I’m not saying that the way we were playing was right, I’m just saying he got banned for playing. I was under the impression you can’t get banned as long as you’re playing the game, I was wrong. Case closed.

I had my console and account temporarily banned on 3/23. I was in a party of 3 that I play with regularly in Team Swat, but I also had a guest logged in that has never played Halo before. I was playing on Pinnacle, and I received the ban message when I accidentally jumped off of the map.
After some research on what the ban hammer will ban for, I believe the reason for my ban had something to do with the guest that was playing with us. He wasn’t getting more than 1 or 2 kills a game, but he was moving around the whole time. A quick look at my recent games shows that I regularly play with the same people, and we do not boost/hack/cheat/whatever.
Please help me reverse this ban that I do not deserve! Thank you!

You should always quit than stay in, then you won’t be a hinder to your team.

the problem with that is quiting out will get you a ban as well where you cannot play matchmaking at all for awhile and are on probation for droping out of games so telling someone to quit a game is a problem as well not a solution just pick the best ban punisment you can handel ?

You should always go with the short term ban than the long term one, I have to say, if you are on probation a lot to always get a quit ban, you need to stop playing until you are sure you can play without having to go somewhere, rather than hop on and having to quit commonly.
Yesterday and today were my first time playing Halo in a long while, and i just got temp-banned because the game lagged out. Granted, I got booted yesterday for unintentional, and intentional betrayals, but they should be able to tell the difference between lag and betrayal booting/quitting. Takes any fun someone was having and completely renders it null. Maybe they should put some of their ridiculous profits to use, upgrading this dinosaur.

The game was released in 2010, not 2012, the banhammer is a bit outdated, it is near impossible with Reach’s system to tell the difference between an accidental betrayal and an intentional one.
Also, you get quit banned due to the fact that even if you lag out, you are still impacting others gameplay when you leave or lag out, that’s a man down.

either way you get a ban and like the post above sometimes you get lag droped from games i have friends that never quit games because they like getting the cr bonuses in slot machine for staying in games but poor internet an server problems have made them get bans for leaving games when the system droped them usuaily it happens on weekends when there are alot of people on
