This is really why “your friend” should come on here and find out for himself. the first game 0 kills. The second -17? No kills and 17 penalties? And he cant understand why he was banned? People like that should be banned for a month just for doing stuff like that. That ruins the game for anyone else on your team that isn’t in your party.
I haven’t been perma banned yet, however I fear that due to my random connection at times, I may get perma banned due to quitting. What happens is that at different times of the week, anytime I join a game it will kick me out of the match. This happens at totally random times, and often repeats itself over and over again. I have no idea of how to fix this, as I share the network with multiple people in the house.
I’ve been temp banned so many times its ridiculous due to my terrible connection at times. What I would really like is some suggestions on how to fix my awful connection. I’ve got Comcast as my ISP/Cable and there’s a linksys connected to the comcast modem in my parents room.

I don’t think they perma-ban you for quitting habitually. Cases like yours would make that practice extremely unfair.
The most you’ll have to put up with is the quit-ban and the frequently dropped connections.
You bring up a good point though. Does anybody know what it would take to get perma-banned these days?

I can help out on this one, as far as I know in Reach’s standards, you only get PERMANENTLY banned for a LOT of cR bans (which are given for boosters, not people who lag out or quit) and at least two rank resets OR you are caught modding online, mainly things like armour colours and others things I will not dive into.
It takes a lot to get permanently banned, if you have a bad connection, be worried about the continuous 10 minute MM bans, no permanent ban will ever come your way.
I was temporarily banned the other day for playing btb but we always wind up that we play heavies and everytime i got into a vehicle (big vehicle) I accidentally betrayed people unintentionally. Now a couple days later i have played without betraying anyone and i have a credit ban now. Just not understanding how one day of such bad luck on betraying got me banned or credit banned gamertag CINCYFIERCE
I don’t think betrayals and/or quit bans are directly related to credit bans. If you’re banned, consider these possibilities:
You deserve it. You were AFK in firefight, you challenge reset, or you AFK boosted in matchmaking. In that case, wait it out and don’t do it again.
You don’t deserve it. You’re a victim of the recent wave of bans affecting users of the custom challenges. In that case, go here (or try here for details).
You sorta deserve it (not really lol). You were not AFK, but you killed too little and died too much, and the bannhammer thought you were AFK. In this case also, go here.
And in the future, you should probably just go here anyway.

You are still banned for three days after the notification first popped up?
Second time I have been banned this month, XBOX LIVE support claims that this is usually a result of suspious behavior. Any matches I have been dropped out of have been due to bad internet reception, thou this doesn’t happen often. In many matches I am the only one that stays when others leave, however I am the one that gets banned without just cause. Is it really suspious behavior to play Halo for 8-14 hour endless spans? I just want my credits for the kills and win I rack up. Yours truly, THE CHAMP.

Why the hell is my 5 year old suddenly banned on this today?
He actually is very good, and I have told him never to leave a match so that he can at least learn from the good players… however it appears that because I travel to different countries and use our second login to play with him and spend some fun times, he can suddenly get banned because of one of these ‘flags’ ?
Are you 343 programmers really that stupid? You create an awesome platform so that folks can play together, communicate, and (used to be able to watch movies)… and now you start screwing this up for families?
