Just to confirm, a lot of you were banned for using Custom Challenges, NOT boosting in any other way, shape or form?
I was playing firefight all day while doing custom challenges. I was not boosting. I was finishing my games and doing my challenges and then random ban.

correct, at least that is what happened to my roommate. i think that is also what happened to the rest of these guys as well.
in fact it makes sense if the custom challenges are the problem, if 343 hasnt updated the server to include the cR as legit then the reach servers probably think its a hack or mod. instantly banning anyone who uses the custom challenges to rank up quicker than the servers believe possible. but im just a freshman in college so most of this is guess work.
I agree with you King, Because It does make since if 343 didn’t set it up correctly and now countless number of innocent people are feeling the wraith of the ban hammer. To be honest I’m done with custom challenges once I get unbanned. Cause all it’s going to lead to is another ban or worse permanent ban.

Correct. Just found out about Custom Challenges a few days ago and figured I could boost them pretty easily. Now I’m stuck with a 2 week credit ban, account and console.

yup and the only answer i am getting from 343 is bungies program is still incharge of the bans so by playing gruntpocalypse with the 4 custom challenges you gain cr to fast 60k in 4 games is to fast there system thinks you are cheating because they have not put the custom challenges in to the system and they dont plan on it halo 4 come out to soon for them to care. so remember use custom challenges once every hour not in a row. this is what my friend told me and hes a bungie employee. he said there sytem is based on 60k an hour being max with gruntpocalypse and the 4 custom challenges you can 120 an hour. anything over 60k you get banned. he said 60,001 in an hour will get you banned the only way to get over that mark is to paly and complet 12 games in an hour not posible in firefight. love you guys, girls rule
I dont want to kybosh your friends logic but i have done 120cr in under an hour with custom challenges in campaign and didnt get banned. and when i say done i mean at leact 15 times. Are you sure you havent been exceeding the daily CR cap in your given 24 hour period

Even if that were the case, they should be just get a stop credit for hitting the cap. Most of the people are coming on saying they are banned for 2 weeks, some are on the fifth day.
There was an issue before, with the ONI customs getting people banned, I think this might be close to the same thing.

I’m getting frustrated with the system they use for Halo:Reach. You can get banned for earning too many credits in one day??? Bungie used to tell you when you reached your credit limit for one day( Until 343i took over). So I decided to play all day until I reached my credit limit. Well I did but the pop up that usually tells you wasn’t there. I thought okay that’s weird, but I went on to bed and couldn’t wait to play the next day cause I was so close to Inclement weather. BUT!!! Instead I get poop slapped in the face with the banhammer. I did use custom challenges, But how can you ban someone for using the system you created for the community? I also thought that this thread was made for someone to respond to an Unjustified ban? Please somebody respond to this post and too the rest of the gamers that got banned for playing the game fairly, Thank you.
Likewise banned for Custom Challenges - somewhat irked by this. Why provide a Firefight Grunt bonus if it will get players banned?

Hi this is Kyle, GT is SecondKyle i was temporaily bannded from earning credits, Now this is a msg to anyone knowing about the days or months regarding this issue, Here is the reason why this is happening, The 1st one i was pulled into a party then into a game now it was my friends party but i did not know about this “Boosting Credits” and it was not my intentions to do so, I am all about the Firefight and love to play Arcadefight alot and on a EVERYDAY basis, I am a Halo freak and am not ashamed of anything. Look at my stats on http://www.halo.xbox.com/en-us/Career/HaloReach/ServiceRecord my commendations are mostly Firefight i did campaign acouple of times as you can notice with the WalkingTank Commendation i will admit i was doing it but did not know at the time it was considerd a “Boosting” type. I haven’t been on the internet in awhile when i was doing this but i quickly stopped over time with no credit ban only because i figured out it was a ilegal action to “Boost” i changed that quickly for 343, I help anyone i can on Xbox 360 even people on Halo Reach to rank on FIREFIGHT, I am a serious gamer and report Hackers,Cheaters,ETC. Therefore me not knowing about this i now have a 2nd Temporaily Bannded thing now until a week i think…for doing FIREFIGHT again from most of the day past 12:00pm Pacific Time which is 9:00pm on my Xbox which means im missing atleast 2 hours into my credits, I like to stay up late sometimes with my brother playing Xbox 360 because it has been awhile since i played it i got mine back 11/15/2011 because my Xbox Arcade was stolen now my Xbox Elite is doing ok and my PS3 is collecting dust for now :). Probably sounds like the same ole stuff you get from credit boosters and the rest, but I actually did let my son play. Nek minut banned from earning credits. Can anyone shed light on why? I dont really care/mind, I only just started playing reach again and generally only get cr from challenges because there is an objective, but it would be interesting to know what it was he did. The only thing I can think of is the last playlist he was in was an MLG playlist, does this affect your ability to earn cr if he was too n00b?
Anyway, I have set him up a inf ammo inf health firefight gametype so he doesn’t annoy the people online. Guess its back to BF3 till I can get Lt. Col.
