me and my friend honestly got banned from for losing games in matchmaking. if people get banned for sucking at matchmaking then matchmaking. i think im done this game for a little while.
Who has the ability/authority to lift/apeal a ban? Xbox or 343?

I just received a two week ban this morning, and I’ve been doing nothing much but playing Firefight and getting a lot of custom challenges done, with the occasional stretches of multiplayer. I don’t think I was doing anything illegitimate.

I read this thread carefully and am most certain that my situation was not mentionned as a possble scenario, thus resulting in my current inquiry. My situation is as follows;
My account was recently hacked (unauthorized access, as Xbox phone support reffered to it) and the person for whom had access to the account throughout the duration of this hack aided in getting my account ‘permanently suspended from Halo 3 online’. After having seen the following on Bungie’s website, I had called Xbox in the hopes that they would take it from there;
> Microsoft is now handling all Halo matchmaking and ban enforcement for Halo titles. You will need to contact Xbox LIVE support regarding issues with your Xbox LIVE account/Gamertag.
This was not the case. Xbox phone support informed me that title bans such as mine must be taken care of by yourselves (Halo). So here I am. My gamertag is ‘The Best Oniine’ and if need be, feel free to contact Xbox phone support to validate that the account was indeed hacked and the suspension correlates with the unauthorized access period.

So today i was playing Reach doubles.Me and my friend always jump on here for at least 3 hours and just screw around like not kill andone and kill eachother or hide so we lose this one game then it says your account has been suspended for Cr and so did my friend.so my point is what the… so Bungie or 343 is banning forbeing bad i counted our games we lost 14 straight games with like 10 kills through all of them.iv heard of bans for everthing so now their banning for having fun! i play cod to be the best i play halo so i can have fun but when i get banned for that na uh.i dont want to hear o well maybe your boosting or leaving i played 14 games and had fun!but i guess thats bad now i want to understand why this would happen and know the truth because if this happened for that imagine how many othe have had this so called ban for being BAD.who cares iv put over 100 hours into halo from the start nowi get this for being a loyal member this is just dumb!!!

Hey guys, I have been recently banned from earning cR on Halo Reach, and I’d just like to know why. I doubt I have done anything wrong to receive this ban, so could I please get a clear simple answer to why I was banned?

Yeah, seeing as how you made it to commander in a week without hacks or mods theyre probably just saying get a life. that doesnt explian why they banned me as well, im just the roommate! whats worse is its on my xbox! he just plays from time to time

The same has just happened to me. Lots of gruntpocalypse in addition to a few multiplayer games and suddenly have a two week console and account credit ban =/
Is that really a bannable offense or is there something I’ve missed? Would appreciate it if someone could look into this for me

Halo 4 will be out before Christmas 2012. Reach has just become a very outdated game, they won’t fix the ban system at this point, it isn’t cost effective.
