On to youe issue, your son was banned because he had too many games with 0 kills, to the program that watches over that(banhammer) it looks like he wasn’t playing. The first ban normally lasts 24 hrs. To avoid this, it would be best for him to play firefight or something until he gets better. And remember, in matchmaking, all the other people playing also paid to play the game, it kind of sucks when your trying to win and your team-mate doesn’t get a single kill.
really? i’m sorry but when your playing against adults and teens, how is a 7 year old suppose to keep up
and now it sounds like bad connections are an issue as well, it happens 2-3 times a game at our house as well. wow, thanks for being so helpful and concerned. i will make sure that my 7 year old reads the fine print next time he plays halo
I logged back into my account uK Victim through my xbox 360 a couple of days ago after going through some old account details (baring in mind, this account was hacked back in 2009 and have been unable to gain any support from microsoft in proving this account was mine!) the cut the long story short, I added a 48 hour trial to let a family member play on the account, when the account signed into xbox live and allowed Halo 3 to load, it stated that account uK Victim was permanently banned!! I was so angry and still am because I havent had access to this account since 2009 when it was hacked. Can you please unban this for me as I would appreciate it so much as I was not at fault for whatever reason the enforcement of banning was.
I have spoken to Microsoft on numerous occasions the past couple of days and have all references of these conversations. please investigate into this and if you need further details please contact me.
thanks
I want to know why my account was banned. It says when I sign on that I am not allowed to receive credits. It says that my account and system cannot get credits. This has happened before and it was only for a day. Now it has been 5 days since I was able to receive credits. This ban needs to be lifted because it is messed up that I cannot receive credits. I can’t even rank up? Is it possible that I played to many games in a day and received to many credits?
Sounds like you’ve been stuck with a 2 week ban, check out the thread up in the sticky topics for more info.

First off, I don’t work for 343, and nobody who does will answer you. So relax on the being concerned, cause frankly I could care less if your kid is banned.
Secondly. To answer your question. My copy of Halo:Reach has a rating of M for mature. 17+. Your 7 year old has no business playing this game, let alone going in to matchmaking and screwing up everyone else game. How about you go get him a wii with some mario kart, or sonics olympics, those games are more suited to a 7 yr old.
a
if my account was hacked and banned by its captive how can i go about getting it unbanned???
what type of ban?
regardless, chances are that you cant get it unbanned unless microsoft previously helped you regain the account and recognized it was hacked. Simply filing a claim to be unbanned doesnt work since many people lie and try to get unbanned for their own actions, saying that their account was hacked.
We can’t really help you with so little detail. Even with more detail, you should most likely contact XBOX Live support.
And if the ban is forever, then you must buy a new XBOX. I know it because I had to.
i’ve spoke to 10 different people from micrsoft/xbox and they said they can’t do anything about bans and it has to be down to the title makers, therefore bungie. but bungies site states all bans are managed by microsoft so its just one big circle. in my instance my account was hacked and banned, so im not at fault, microsoft and bungie should of protected my account and were relecutant to help me when i called to tell them it was stolen!!! they didnt believe me!! bungie and microsoft are both big -Yoink- holes!
Ok, I have had Halo for a couple of day so far, and already have already been banned. Based on everything I have read, this is due to my wife playing with me and her friends in multilayer and getting alot of 0 kills games. I am sorry that she is horrible at games like Halo, but the entire team knew going into this that she had never played halo and sucked at games like this in general.
She still wanted to play with me and her friends, and so simply because she is not good at the game my account gets banned.
Later, in local co-op I received a message that my console got banned. Again apparently because she was not killing much of anything.
This is pretty ridiculous that this is counted as AFKing, and that the actual reason for being banned or the length I have been banned for are no-where to be found. Please remove this ban, as it is completely unjustified. Also please update your system to detect actual AFKs, not just bad players.
Thank you,
Kat

no need to get your panty’s in a bunch, i am just trying to figure out what the heck is going on. people talk about a 24 hour ban and now he is going on 4 days for a first ban. we r new to the whole gamer lifestyle and as far as “M” for mature goes, i rather he plays Halo than watch half the programming on TV. halo is a fantasy game that’s easy to explain to a 7 year old as opposed to sexual inuendo’s we hear and see in music video’s and programs.
so after his school is done, homework is finished and his athletics is over he is allowed to play some video games as a reward to his hard work being socially integrated into society.
so what i gather people post on here when they get banned in hope of being heard to have their accounts checked again so they might be reinstated.
how come halo does not change their policy to better help their customer base or am i just being naive to bungie’s bureaucratic gluttony and power abuse to get people addicted and make as much money as possible and screw the masses to their own benifit.
Bungie have no ‘customer service’ base, I guess thats because they’re scared of being told they are wrong! i can understand people being banned because if you are young you may not have the skills to get many kills or that you may not be at the controller much, thats life we arent glued to our controllers and for bungie to point the finger and blame us for ‘cheating’ somehow, in my instance my account was stolen and banned for whatever reason and now microsoft nor bungie are interested in correcting this. bad customer experience? yes.

i feel for ya, it’s funny how we bought the game and are so naive as to we thought we could just play a simple video game on line and have some family fun, you would think we could learn as we go. now i understand that i have to be in the top percentile when first learning or i will get banned. i have learned to go about this with a sense of humor now,
thank u bungie…
ohhh and maybe bungie should devise an apptitude test that states u can not play this game if u do not devote your whole life to it, u cannot play if u are not good enough, just a thought and we can catagorize people by color so as to easily identify them
I’ve been wrongfully banned from earning credits on Halo Reach, and the ban has not been lifted for four days. This is the second or third time I’ve been wrongfully banned, and I need the two bans taken off any record for my gamertag and those of my companions, and lifted if any are still active. I’m tired of being run around in circles to get the wrongful ban lifted. I’ve checked the original ban guidelines and determined that this ban and my past bans have been wrongfully placed. Also, 343 needs a RELIABLE support service, with phone numbers and/or a chat for these kinds of problems. I was basically run around in circles before being pointed here, and this is apparently the best 343 has to offer as a support service. Give me a hand 343, I’m sick of this.
Also, I’d prefer to talk to an administrator by phone, or some other reliable communication type. I’m not one for open discussion on a forum where trolls and morons like to make stupid arguments (not to mention the entirity of the 10-year old Halo fans who can’t spell their own names, trying to act like they know everything).
Apologies in advance for my frustration, but this has gotten a little out of hand.
Wrongful Banning is what the title’s supposed to look like. Typo.

If Patriarc rain is also on your console that is the cause of the ban. Although it may have also been from the guest controller you had getting 0 kills. Either way its the way the cookie crumbles. Honestly though, if your playing for fun with your friends or whatever the credits shouldn’t matter. Also if you go in with a full party, you can play custom games and there would be no risk of a ban.
I was just playing with a cousin, and my brother. My cousin as a guest and my brother on his live account. He’s just learning the game and usually gets 1-5 kills per game. Anyway, we got a message saying that the console, my brothers account, and my own were temporarily credit banned. We can usually only play once a week so is there anyway to get this unbanned? Once that’s fixed, how do I avoid this happening again?
