Can someone please tell me why my console losing connection results in me getting a 2 hour ban? This happens wayy to often. Worst part is I finished the game. I saw the spartan stare up into the sky after he had won and then it said lost connect. I then got banned. COME ON

Do what you can to stabilize your connection.
Yes stop ppl playing completely so other dont have to lose!
I am also having the same problem. It’s actually starting to be an inconvenience. I can see all the match stats everything after I get the ban from the game that I just finished. It’s infuriating that you get a ban from losing connection especially when your servers recognize the game as played and it’s documented. Fix this. I am over it happening. All this does is cause me to go play a different game due to your inferior servers. And before you says it’s my connection I run 300mps.

Four DNFs on the ninth alone. Then you had one finished game after which the banhammer swung. It is generally one game behind.
Also, you could have 1 Petabs and I could still say it’s your connection. NAT and ports and a bunch of other stuff.

Fast connections don’t always mean they are stable. If you’re running that over WiFi you can be running into all sorts of trouble, or if your router is misconfigured? it’s not always servers that are the issue. The issue is with disconnects is being able to tell if the server dropped the connection or the player did. All to easy to rip out your ethernet cable or switch off your router and claim it was the server
#1 hard reset your Xbox regularly #2 use a wired connection to your Xbox don’t use wifi… #3 stop quitting games then coming here and claiming disconnects

If they can’t tell whether it is the system or the player, then they shouldn’t get banned for connection dropping. That is just stupid game design. Don’t even try to defend such an incompetent banning system.
I got disconnected for the first time in almost a month and it gave me a ban. It was a short one but it was still pretty damn stupid that I got banned for that. They need to get rid of whoever designed the system and get someone who can actually do their job to get it done.
Think we may need to call shenanigans on this… He is up to a two hour ban. He either has a connection problem… or as I see from his dnfs every game he “disconnected” he was going negative… 1kill… 5 deaths… type thing so I think he quits more so than disconnects. Just saying…

My connection has been pretty w*nk for the last couple of days

I had to reset my Xbox because of server or just my Internet acting up. I always run a wired connection get a lot steadier connection that way. How many other devices are running off that Internet as well? The more stuff plugged in or pulling from the WiFi can cause issues. I ran a50ft cable to my Xbox to get a steady connection at one point.

If you’re using wireless, try Wired or eliminate any possible interference. Try rebooting your network equipment and if that still fails call your ISP and issue a complaint.
Every one of your deaths you were getting your tail kicked. Sorry, but that says you are leaving the game by choice. You are either taking the game disk out to try to fake a connection or turning the xbox off or something. You have 8 DNFs in the last 10 days with every one of them you going 2k 8D or similar. Thats not a “Oh I got DC”. Thats I’m leaving the game because I’m losing.
